  1. This one has always bugged me so much. Angles of Death sounds like it could be made into a neat Paranoia supplement. And by neat I mean totally nuts and it will infuriate your players. Angles between 80 and 100 degrees are above your security clearance. All players must spend the entire session leaning at least 10 degrees off center. Meh, a universe full of make-up peddlers and fatal corners.
  2. I'm curious, why so many make this spelling mistake? You should have seen some of the old wh40k discussion forums (usenet) a decade or more ago. Rouge Trader and Angles of Death was pretty much the de facto spelling ')
  3. Never heard of APB I go back and revisit WAR once or twice a month after it became free to play. Thats the depth of my knowledge of MMO's
  4. The only "multicultural" place I've seen/experienced for a longer period of time would be New Zealand. The Maori have kept some aspects of their culture and given up on others. They don't eat the losers of a conflict any more.
  5. That is probably the one thing that the common European fears the most and the reason why there is so much resistance to giving up national sovereignty to a bunch of career politicians in Brussels. The abject fear that big corporations will be able run roughshod over them, ignoring regulations and oversight rules. Lets say company A decides that cancerinogen B makes a wonderful addition to kids toys, because it is much cheaper to manufacture. Today they'll have to convince 25+ governments to lower the consumer protection standards. If Brussels had the power, they would only need one government on their payroll. Yeah, I think most people see the "Eurocrats" as corporate lapdogs not to be trusted, which is why the people vote against the politicians in just about every referendum that they have dared offer the people. People wants countries run by the people and keep a leash on corporations, not the other way around. Such "socialist" thinking is probably anathema to any good capitalist
  6. Add Robin Hood to the list of terrorists.
  7. Get rid of nation states. That would free the world from the scourge of nationalism.
  8. Still doesn't really fit considering that the Grey Wardens aren't really destroy and you don't have to resurrect them. The stories have some common ground, true, but that's just because they both rely on fantasy clich
  9. They just don't make woody entertainment like that anymore Mass produced tinny stuff is all that seems to come out of the assembly lines these days
  10. The Void. Too much bare boobies to show here, but quite atmospheric. If you'll excuse me, I have a tree to paint
  11. I never understood what people saw in 'Seinfeld' But then, I loved 'Finding Nemo' and a colleague that I lent the dvd to hated it. Humor seems to be a very subjective thing
  12. Maybe they are trying to revive the "golden era" of homegrown European terrorists when the Italian Red Brigades, the German Rote Armee Fraction etc. killed bankers and industrialists in "the name of the people". Never mind that people didn't really want to be liberated by them. Not defending those guys, just noting that they were idealists, not in it for the fame or the money.
  13. I don't know why it amuses me so much knowing that you paid three times as much for the exact same part as I did (i7 920 @ 3.2 GHz). Schadenfreude. Bah, my computer is cooler than yours
  14. The Warhammer 40000 setting was made for people like you Too many WH40K action games an no crpgs whatsoever currently around.
  15. Is there really a difference between Facebook and a MMO? I thought parts of the addictiveness of MMO's was the interaction with other "real" people. What would be their point otherwise?

    Music

Thanks Oblarg I suddenly feel like listening to some old Judas Priest again I guess its about as pointless to nail down the exact details of what qualifies as what in music as it is in game genres... what makes an RPG
  17. This brings back bad memories of Leprechaun fighting... ye gods I hate those little buggers. All my precious gold
  18. But you do have time for single player games? How does that work? It's a matter of timing. It happens that I have an hour or two to spend on a game (on rare occasions an entire night), but I can rarely ever plan for it.

Can somebody explain in simple English what progressive metal is? Listened to a few of the youtube vids and didn't see anything that Ronnie James Dio didn't do better in 1983
  20. The new Lara Croft game? I have to say, its excellent! You serious?... It looks like a Diablo clone I wouldn't say its a Diablo clone, but if you could mash Diablo and Tomb Raider togeather, you'd get the new Lara Croft game. Give the demo a shot, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, for the price its worth it if you have someone to play Co-op with If there is a demo, I'll try it. Diablo was probably the wrong comparison, it was the first thing that sprang to mind to describe mindnumbing combat against endless enemies and loot gathering. Visually, it actually reminded me a bit of what little we've seen of Dungeon Siege III so far. Blame it on my age, but Tombraider and Tombraider II still stands out in my mind as "The Tombraider Games", because the focus wasn't action, but exploration. It wasn true sandbox games, but the levels were effin huge for its time and you were rewarded for exploring it. Lara Croft was as much the super elite force, all slaying soldier that Indiana Jones was (i.e. not). Besides, I don't really have time for co-op games unfortunately, so that isn't a selling point
  21. If they told you that there were secret passages, they wouldn't really be secret anymore? Saying yes would be a lie no matter what.
  22. Less than literal quote of your post Never managed to survive that one without cheating. If Tigranes beats it in one go without reloading, I'm going to be not just impressed by his skill, but ask him to fill out my lotto coupon
  23. The new Lara Croft game? I have to say, its excellent! You serious?... It looks like a Diablo clone
  24. Gorth - a Hater since 1966 and proud of it Moderately interested in Fallout: New Veges. I would have loved to be looking forward to the new Tombraider game, but I took one look at the trailer, scratched my head and went "WTF?" Am looking forward to Victoria II and Europa Universalis III: Divine Wind
  25. Insert quote from Churchill's speech here
