Movies you've seen recently
Oh, another Aliens vs. tough Marines movie. Gotta see that. Wow, that was almost Roland Emmerich kind of bad Saw Conan the Destroyer. Cheesy in a good way, although not as good as Conan the Barbarian. Conan the Barbarian was good? It was awesome

I can't remember if I've posted this one in the past, but it always struck me as funny Privacy Notice

Retailers Versus Steam?
This... I almost didn't get Mass Effect 2 installed the last time, because I couldn't remember the stupid "social network" account login (which of course isn't the same as I used for Dragon Age) and I've made a note of not buying more games that requires me to create new accounts. The main reason I never even considered buying FO:NV and a reason not to bother with Dragon Age 2 (since I don't remember my DA account info anymore). Yeah I know, customer support can probably help me out since I have all the registration codes/activation codes etc. but I can't be bothered, for it shouldn't be necessary to play an effin game. Talk about trying to gain complete access to your behavior profile and targeted spamming. Edit: As for retailers, I prefer to buy my box in a store whenever possible, resorting to Gamersgate (no additional drm other than what the game already has) when not.

What are you playing now
Actually, what did you pay for Two Worlds 2 on Gamersgate? They want 45

Large Hadron Collider successfully creates mini Big Bangs
In terms of energy involved. Cosmic particles collide with similar energies up there on a fairly regular basis. It might be common in the high altitudes, but keeping 10.000 tonnes of measuring equipment completely still 40-80 km up in the air is just such a hassle.

Dragon Age 2
Yep, it was just a black screen in every direction. Very art nouveau. People put hundreds of hours into it, mostly because they couldn't see the exit button. Black screen? Ingame screenshot: If anything, it was very white and blue. Hundreds of hours?... don't be silly, people put thousands of hours into it

Dragon Age 2
Yes. *Sigh* ...can't believe people are actually discussing which art is "better". You would think this was the internet or something. Besides, people keep forgetting the greatest sandbox grand strategy/crpg of all times: "Lords of Midnight" which had it's own unique art style.

Food
Hey, thats how new dishes gets invented. Nothing like a bit of garlic oatmeal for breakfast. Especially if you are trying to enforce a "privacy sphere" at work >_ Had some nice simple lunch with some rolls, ham, cheese, stuffed olives, sundried tomatos and some funny little red capsicum thingies with fillings.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
What is the difference between Disc version of IWD 2 and the "Complete" version from GoG??? IWD2 had not any expansion pack, so i kinda do not understand what can be called complete on this game There was a "complete" edition released at one time (I bought the box back then), that has IWD, HoW, IWD2, Soundtracks and strategy guides included. Maybe this is the one referred to? Edit: For some obscure reason TotL wasn't included, but I had that one from back when I bought HoW.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Honestly, I thought it was forum troll trying to piss off 99.99% of potential buyers with a tasteless joke and somebody would clarify that their account had been hacked or some such

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Since it is getting closer to Christmas, I wonder if Santa Claus is going to hate me for wishing BitComposer a quick bankruptcy and a fast and ignominous end to their unhealthy infatuation with the JA2 corpse? Browsing around a bit for news about JA2, I stumbled across this farce (second post): http://www.jaggedalliance.com/index.php?id...um_pi1 =11 Bye JA franchise, it was nice knowing you

Does that mean more Diary Entries? (yeah, I don't have the game, don't really plan on it at the moment either)

Geography
The Grand Canyon, Antarctica, Milford Sound, The Great Barrier Reef, The Jungles of Borneo... lots of places. For less epic and much more unusual places I would love to see Ten Strange Places

Food
I can't cook. I can however heat stuff. As long as I only have to watch a single pot or pan on the stove, I'll manage. Just follow the KISS principle. Fry some meat on the pan, add some spice and get something simple like steamed vegetables or rice (both of which can be made in the microwave) to it. If it gets boring, add more spices Edit: If you burn the meat, add more red wine... lots.

Did someone just try to buy the British Government?
My thoughts exactly when reading that transcript The government just needs to put up a substantial advance fee to enable the transfer of that fortune to the governments account

Food
Lets see... had some roast chicken, different kinds of cheese, crackers, pine apple, melons, figs, dates, various nuts, fresh strawberries and red wine (and beer for those aren't wine drinkers). Had to wear a funny tie too. Yeah, it's Melbourne Cup day, so we had a long lunch at work. Americaine won me $15 in the betting pool

Dragon Age 2
Dark, not too dark?... That's a two edged sword. Unlike ME2 where the characters and the writing was interesting IMO (and the combat sucked), it was the combat and game mechanics, not the writing that made DA good, at least for a while Going the path of Might and Magic? Anyway, if you pull the combat system out of DA, there is precious little left I struggle getting beyond the starting levels of DMC4. Just too boring >_

Help Sir PJ!
Sounds like you need to go to New Zealand some day... Mountains, volcanic wastelands, temperate rain forest, you'll find it all most of it (North African type desert might be a bit of challenge) In which case I can only table a motion that we turn it into a giant prison. Like in Escape From New York. Prison is supposed to be a punishment
