  1. In SoA, the only weapons better than +3 are Carsomyr +5, Warblade +4, Cutthroat +4 & one of Drizzt's scimitars. Irenicus summons two baalors & two glabrezu in the end fight, but I don't remember if a +4 was required to hurt them (I think a +4 was only needed to hurt demogorgon & mariliths in ToB). In Watcher's keep there's several +4 weapons, though... like staff of the ram & spectral blade that Jaheira can use. What happened to just turning into the slayer and rip him apart? Works wonders against Kangaxx too
  2. Those are just the Commandments. A country run by the Christian bible would be hard to distinguish from a Taliban run Afghanistan. I.e. authoritarian clergy in a patriarchal society.
  3. No, I should get Xan's voice! It's a party full of chosen ones, how could it possibly fail??? In the unlikely event it does, then it better be a very epic and cinematic fail!
  4. Godwin strikes back...
  5. It's his own fault for relying on a star map scattered over four different planets... oh, wait
  6. So, he lived to tell the tale... I could have told Tig that whacking a zombie on the head with a staff is no good. THere is a reason for why they always scavenge for "Brainsss..." *Gorth sits down and starts singing about gold* (bonus points to anyone geeky enough to get the last reference)
  7. Is there a Bubble Bobble for Windows? The most fun and addictive co-op I remember from days past. Mindless and mindnumbing (especially the tune) but you just can't let it go when started.
  8. Heh, i still have a shortcut to them on my web browser. Even downloaded it back when I heard all the "horror" stories about the vanilla game. I might want to re downloload it, as it might have been updated the last 12-24 months.
  9. I've had this game for a couple of years now... never got around to try it. This is the moment!
  10. Hmmm... what fits that description of games currently installed? Painkiller: Resurrection (first person shooter) Zombie Driver (racing game, ram and splatter as many zombie pedestrians as possible) Archon (violent chess) Easy to get into stuff, no mental preparation, just start up, kill a few half hours then abandon it without feeling any great sense of loss If all else fails, there is Spider Solitaire which usually comes with Windows.
  11. Gorth... a bard?... Need to practise the lute solo, including smashing the lute against the tavern furniture towards the end of the performance
  12. Voted IWD2 and Storm of Zehir (Other)
  13. What are your burning needs? I bought Cyberlinks Power2Go a while ago. Mostly because I needed something quick to burn dual layer blu-rays (backing up stuff from my computer that hadn't really been backed up for a decade)
  14. Is he going to recover fully? Yeah, waiting here for the continuation
  15. Hungry? I guess he just saved his butt there...
  16. Whats your starting race/ship? I've only played it as a human so far, starting out the the fair sized ship and bank account. I eventually made it a priority to upgrade ship speed and do missions to accumulate wealth. Scavenging when the big boys fight is a great source of income for upgrades too. Never leave home without a gripper (or buy a hull that doesn't allow one)
  17. There is always the option that he is guilty, there is also the option that he became the victim of a pair of "groupies" wanting a bit of fame for themselves... happens to rock bands all the time, but I suppose it is more fun to think up big conspiracy theories, even if the guy has no redeeming qualities.
  18. Are you playing the original or Lost Company? Either way, as you said, they're fun, old-school FPSes. I bought both from Gamersgate, but currently just playing NecroVision (even though I know the sequel is actually a prequel)
  19. The party had too many elves anyway (said the human racist)
  20. Well, if they are indeed increasing the GST Rate, that is in itself a bad sign. Especially since it is not likely to be a spending curbing measure, but rather to patch holes in the states finances.

Like this: The Architect? Replace "The Architect" with a copy of the story Edit: In a related story, the shrinking Moon is really not a serious problem, as the Moon is moving further and further away from Earth. Eventually Earths gravity will not be enough to keep the Moon in orbit and it will pack up and leave.
  22. See, this is where you go wrong. The very thing that makes JA2 is its combat and its combat mechanics. Sure, it has some quirky characters and fun dialogues, but at its heart, it is the combat you spend 90% of the time doing. It sure isn't the generic island setting or the simple gfx. So, take out the 90% of the game that made it stand out from the crowd and make it yet another rts? What would be it's selling point? Grey goo #238? A pox upon Westwood Studios All because they decided to compensate for a mediocre and uninspired Dune release by adding more "twitch" to Dune 2, hoping that it could make up for it's short comings by adding a contrived sense of urgency by moving all the counters on the board at once. Unfortunately, it turned out in the long run to be financially successful formula that killed off innovation. Therefore we are still, 20 years later, stuck with same old, same old. Sure, sometimes they tried changing the viscosity of the goo, sometimes trying lighter or darker shades of grey, but in the end, it is still the same old stale, grey goo.
  23. You could replace him with Nick-i-am
