  1. Some day, somebody is going to have to explain the fascination with those guitar hero games in easy to understand English
  2. It's been a while, so my memory might be faulty. Can't you drag/assign them to number keys?

    Football

Hehe, just saw the CL summary on SBS this morning. It's not that Barca didn't try
  4. I wonder who writes all the background "chatter"? I regularly found the background conversations, the advertising, news readers, asaris discussing the finer points of weaseling out of contracts etc. to be more interesting to listen to than the main characters. Not because the main characters are necessarily particularly bad, but because the "ambience" writers were particularly good (imho). Same for DA:O.
  5. I'm sure Volourn can dislike something in a less belligerent way and I'm sure everybody else and their moms can ignore somebody not liking the same as them, yet everybody feels like they need to follow the script. You would think it's some kind of mating ritual where everybody does weird things without actually understanding why. How about giving it a break, even if just for a while guys? >_
  6. I've tried a few more "arcade" and a few more "simulation" type games, but unfortunately for the fun factor few things beats a handful of old 8 and 16 bit games. The above War in the Pacific is a good attempt, if a bit heavy on the detail and management side (i.e. requires some time investment before really getting going)
  7. Well, I already mentioned a comic book and a tv series villain, how about some crook/cop/mutual nemesis pairings? E.g. Moriarty/Holmes, William Chaloner/Sir Isaac Newton etc.?
  8. True megalomania, grand scheming and dreams of domination. Not like a bunch of lycra wearing emos I could mention, running around whinging and going "Oh Woe is me" and "You are all gonna pay"
  9. Best comic book villain ever: Zorglub Only Larry Hagman as J.R. Ewing in the TV series "Dallas" comes even remotely close in irrestibly villaineous behaviour.
  10. Alfred Hitch****s "The Birds". I was barely a teenager at the time and there was something decidedly creepy about something familiar and normally harmless suddenly becoming a lethal menace. That was of course before I found out about pelicans.
  11. Friendly advice... buy a shredder if you don't already have one, never throw any documents in your rubbish bin. Funcroc WILL find it
  12. Much appreciated sorophx, always wondered what the game was about I doubt that I'll ever get the game to run on my computer

    Zeitgeist

That is why we need bigger and better computers so AI systems can make decisions for us
  14. Try looking up wh40k on tvtropes for a good summary
  15. Do tell
  16. You sure you're not referring to abhumans? Nope. Beastmen. From a time efore they dumbed down the game (upper right corner)... Are you thinking about penal troopers with explosive collars?
  17. Obsidian guys posting images here that aren't game magazine exclusives... *Faints* Man, that brings back memories of the old Black Isle site. Stuff is looking visually pretty good so far
  18. Whereabouts are you from? I hear Queensland got a lot of new waterfront properties recently (not mention that Cairns is getting cleared of it's current inhabitants)
  19. The stress of living the hard life in the wasteland is obviously taking its toll on your character
  20. Well, crossing fingers and hoping that "catch up" version with all extras that is bound to be released in some distant future will have it patched out by then.
  21. Isn't the entire point of the unrest and the frustration of the people, that they are fed up with "Old Men" regimes? You can suppress people for only so long and then corruption and nepotism will eventually create popular uprisings. The worst thing that could happen in Egypt right now is probably that Mohamed ElBaradei got into a position of power, because frankly, he seems like an oportunist that just wants Mubaraks job.
  22. What a coincidence
  23. Invokes 'Ramza' For replayability, I probably preferred Bg2, for greatest 'impact' PS:T and for "casual dungeon crawling" IWD/IWD2. Despite being reskinned RTS games, they managed to cater for different interests. Iirc, IWD2 was the first post 1999 crpg where silly looking headwear was completely optional.
  24. Executive summary: Elemental Nods? I've never played the game (despite having had the box for years now), but if it is more chore than fun, then by all means skip it
