  1. In that case there is going to be 2GB of difference
  2. Are you running 64bit Windows?
  3. (emphasis mine) Which pretty much sums it up. Pirates are pathetic no matter how they try to justify it. Lets save the piracy for another thread, this is for news (and piracy is really old news by now).
  4. Thread is getting a bit long... more news discussions here >_
  5. Start of old thread End of old thread Chopped part of the old thread off to give the thread a head start... reusing assets and all that >_
  6. Hmm? The average level 2 enemy can bypass 40 armor better than the average level 1 enemy. That's basic level mechanics. I mean, if a level 1 and a level 2 enemy had the same amount of strength, health, magic, etc, the PC would never face a challenge after a few levels. if a level 1 and a level 2 enemy had the same amount of strength, health, magic, etc what would be the point of having a level 1 and a level 2 enemy? I understood the description as your armour got weaker as you levelled up, simply because you levelled up, meaning that a level 1 enemy would have an easier time hurting you (not the same as killing you, as you presumably have more hp now) when you are level 5 than when you were level 2, hence my "level scaling" comment.
  7. Level scaling for armor... Talk about outgrowing the old clothes.
  8. So, if you are tech savvy enough, knowing how to forge your network pacakages, you can frame another ip address for your actions. Not to mention that infiltrating and broadcasting intent to transmit pirated software even if you don't pass along any data is sort of asking for it. Besides the entire experiment being somewhat contrieved, wanna bet that the majority of internet users wouldn't know how to? The entire idea for the majority seems to be that they want instant gratification without any cost to themselves. They don't want to have to actually do anything, because that sort of thwarts the purpose of it (i.e. how can I get something without doing anything in return).
  9. I tried buying from them in the past... their transaction provider didn't like any of my credit cards so I dropped them.
  10. Well, crossing fingers and hoping that they succeed. A number of pathetic individuals could use some teaching of bad choices leading to bad consequences. I'll probably pre-order it at gamersgate (since I've got some bad experiences with the gog website).
  11. Yes, it was a charity thing. A lot of lowlifes went with the minimum $1 requirement which cost the company more than $1 to process while telling how awesome they thought themselves to be, rippping off the company. Shows what kind of people the industry is dealing with.
  12. It's currently on sale for $15 at gamersgate.
  13. Fought a long vicious battle this afternoon for possession of my laundry drying rack in my backyard. Eight legged invaders had completely covered it in web and made themselves comfortable there. Nothing to do but arm myself with a broom and a spray can and taking up the challenge. It's mine... all mine!!!
  14. Gandalf doesn't live here anymore... New address
  15. Start of old thread End of old thread Split a few posts off from old thread to start new thread. There should be enough spiky bits to go around... Not a fan of the new look, still waiting for more story bits, since thats whats really interest me
  16. The Witch Hunter 10% Strength, 57% Bloodlust, 29% Intelligence, 29% Spirit, 10% Vitality and 29% Agility! The Witch Hunter Savage and deadly, the Witch Hunters use their powerful dark magic to defeat their opponents. Masters of killing and torture, the Witch Hunters will seek out other powerful magic users to slay so that they can capture their souls and summon them in battle. These dark undead magicians will blindly serve them and obey their every command! Congratulations on reaching this incredibly creepy class! Whats up with that image?!? I answered MALE dammit. Maybe it's an anime guy
  17. *tries to picture Cant in a bikini chainmail...*
  18. Dunno about ME1, but in Dragon Age you could eventually build an "Arcane Warrior", for those who want cake and eat it. You need to unlock it solving a particular problem in a particular way though.
  19. I don't pretend to be able to read Tolkiens mind, but wouldn't be surprised if his "wizards" were influenced by the contemporary (of his time) perception of Druids. I.e. old wise men in flowing robes, wielding wooden staffs and mystical powers. Seems like Bioware has done a 180 flip and gone from Peter Jacksons Tolkien interpretation to Anime style (like Cant suggested). Whether that is a pro or a con depends on how you feel about Anime I suppose.
  20. Have you seen any Uwe Boll "movies"? Otherwise I can't find an explanation for the first part of your sentence. Anything he touches is so bad that it goes below the "so bad it's funny" point.
  21. Rofl indeed.
  22. This... It's not a competition, because that would assume that there would be a "winner". Nobody wins arguing on the internet. The point between not worrying and starting to worry a bit?
  23. You didn't really expect future conflicts not to happen on the information infrastructure level too? Maybe it was the cyber equivalent of a nuclear test Could also be technical incompetency.
