  1. How about appreciation for those intelligence people who found his hiding spot? The powers that be knows they have been slammed a lot (and maybe deservedly so) since 9/11
  2. Thread ran out of Awesome. Press A
  3. Start of old thread End of old thread Still waiting for Grom's review
  4. Getting past the imaginary finishing line... Continued here
  5. Start of old thread End of old thread Blah blah blah, blah blah, etc.
  6. Just wondering if you might have more success asking on the NWN2 forums? (the old link http://nwn2.obsidian.net/expotron_plug.html is deader than a blue norwegian)
  7. Isn't that what democracy has been all about the last 10-20 years?!? It was particularly noticeable during the last election here in Australia. Just for fun, I watched a bit of the campaigning. Not a single politician, not a single one, actually told what he wanted to do, only what he wanted to prevent others from doing. I can understand why people are forced to vote by law, because nobody in their right mind would vote for any of the current politicians if they could just ignore them all together.
  8. Finally got around to start my first game of Fallout: New Vegas (yeah, a bit late, I know). My tech savvy explosives/energy weapon expert followed this girl around for a short while to learn basic survival in the world of FO:NV and promptly got himself killed by a pair of Geckos I got so distracted by the hilarious animations that i forgot to keep shooting at the critters. Hit it in the head with a laser pistol and it will bury its head in its "hands" (paws, claws, whatever) and go 'Ow! Ow! Ow!...' while rubbing its eyes. Hard to keep a straight face after that
  9. Ok... where is Worstusernameever?!? I'm here, I'm here, just rather busy. Quick summary: s'cool, looks open but is linear (they count it as a positive "no backtracking), cool hybrid combat system, dated graphics with interesting art direction. Excuses, excuses... thanks
  10. Watch this space for the new reality TV show... Survivor: The Government. The audience vote who leaves the parliament every week until there is a winner and he/she becomes the Tyrant until next election period
  11. Am curious to hear your impressions after mandatory reflection time etc. Still sitting on the fence. Need a new time sink when finished with FO:NV, but the demo left me "uninterested" (boring corridor combat and not much else shown). I'm probably going to wait for the second boxed set with various DLC's and patches included.
  12. I vote with my tax money. If I don't like a government I move to a different country
  13. That the second one is different enough from the first to please those who didn't like the first one is a two edged sword.
  14. I've no idea what 'Alan Wake' is, but the one that stands out in my short term memory is DA:O. It was frustrating beyond belief whenever a boss fight or similar came up, your carefully prepared sneak attack and scouting out would be "overruled" by the game and you would strut happily up in the middle of a badly concealed ambush in the worst defencible position [/rant] Yeah, cutscenes are almost as bad as QTE's
  15. Funny thing, value. A thing is usually worth as much as people desire it. Collectors are a strange bunch "artificially" inflating values because they all agree that something (usually quite useless) is desireable to them and the more they agree, the more the object of desire gains in fame and adds to the desire, being a self reinforcing mechanism. Seriously, Mona Lisa is not that attractive.

  17. Your link works fine WoD... "This is a major advance, as previous teleportation experiments were either very slow or caused some information to be lost." - Sounds like an episode of Star Trek ToS
  18. So far I've had more problems with multi core and x64 than Windows 7. Tombraider (the original) and Carmageddon were a bit iffy to get to run and X-Com 3: Armageddon needed dos box to run properly, but otherwise I think I've had just about every game in my collection installed and run.
  19. Ah, flag waving... patriotism... nationalism... the refuge of a weak mind and a means of escape for those unwilling to think independently
  20. Technically this is number three. Well, it's the first time they sent me an email telling that there was a new bundle (previous emails had been about more games being added to the one I already purchased, together with download links to the new additions and free codes for steam if I wanted a copy of the games there too).
  21. Humble Bundle 2 is out. I caved in and spent $$ on it. Curious to see what Trine and Shadowgrounds is about.
  22. Ok... where is Worstusernameever?!?
