What are you playing now?
I started a game of The Witcher 2, but I think I'll wait for a patch that fixes the issues with running on high resolution desktops and desktop font sizes that aren't exactly 100% Continuing my game of Fallout: New Vegas, discovering new and interesting ways of dying

Obsidian dumbs "downer"
Me too. I don't know if I would go as far as calling it "love", but I definitely liked it. It's just that it was a bit of a bumpy ride in places (and NWN1 had coloured my perceptions, so I started the game with negative expectations).

Highly stylized, high profile role playing game.
I'm not familiar with various "portable" devices, anything that is all the rage these days (only thing I can think of that makes good use of 2D art these days)?

BG3 on the Infinity Engine... It could of course also be a new Pac Man. The original dungeon crawl, slaying enemies and finding powerups that allows you to face your enemies while gathering the loot on the level.

Books
Same here. Haven't seen the TV show yet, but it was the only title I recognised in the airport book store

Curtain fall... More stuff here- Movies you've seen recently
Start of old thread End of old thread We've been watching episodes of "Arrested Development" lately at work during lunch breaks. Never heard about it before, but outstanding fun. It's been a long time since I laughed at a comedy for the right reasons. Might just have to grab the series on DVD off Amazon or similar place (especially since I was away all last week and missed two handfuls of episodes)- Witcher 2
Well, I can still run it, but only at reduced resolutions. Otherwise it just just pretends to be launching and then exits back to the launcher menu. Maybe it's time to have a look at the Gog forums and see if anybody has any hints.- Witcher 2
I just installed it and I can't use the configuration screen. The buttons are all jumbled together. I can't use the register game program, because it doesn't accept any keyboard input (I just tried those two on TW1 for comparison and they work fine there) and lastly, the game will only run if I lower my desktop resolution to something like 1600x1200 or less (yeah, not game resolution, my effin desktop resolution)... what the **** hell?!?!- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Bioware Sports... Planet Scan 2012 Moon Buggy Race Pazaak Tournament (different cards available as DLC and preorder bonus) Etc.- American Idol S10
Poor Volourn As a fan of the old Fleetwood Mac I found that particular interpretation of Rhiannon offensive. Listen to all 6.10 of instead- It's vital that you all see this
I thought we already did have a global warming thread somewhere?- Sensory impairments
I once lost my hearing completely a few years ago, for a month and a half (both eardrums popped due to infection). Wasn't funny, almost got run over by cars, got startled by shadows of low flying Boeing 737's, people had to write me notes etc. My sense of relief after getting my otherwise good hearing back 100% was overwhelming.- So... Democracy...
You do know that 'Walsingham' is just yet another cover, right?- Keeping Drizzt kit
Not even if she is hot and wielding a flail?- Keeping Drizzt kit
That makes Keldorn a bit of a hypocrite, doesn't it? I'm sure there were alternatives to splitting Viconia down the middle with that sword of his because of her race.- Witcher 2
The Ironmen of the gaming world. They take pride in their martyrdom.- Videogames to be presented in Smithsonian art exhibit
Maybe they had no "striking visual effects"? (not familiar with those two)- Obsidian debates -1
Sounds like Socrates' cave (one of my favourite stories)- Videogames to be presented in Smithsonian art exhibit
