Good thing old Kemal Ataturk can't see what Erdogan is turning his legacy into. Staying Secular was one of his goals.

Which is effectively a declaration of war by Turkey on Russia, attacking outside Turkey. They would have a hard to time calling on Nato for help should Russia decide to retaliate in kind (Turkey being the aggressor really can hardly claim "self defence").

I think I still got some factor 50 from my days in South Australia. Probably way past its best by date

Turkey (ok, maybe not Turkey, but the Erdogan government), being a supporter of Isis, I wonder if France is going to ask Turkey to raise arms against them?... Probably just as unlikely as Saudi Arabia clamping down on the money flow.

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VII (J.J. Strikes Back)

Tried a few of the heroics. The instanced ones were ok, but the one on Alderaan where you have to plant evidence on the republic corpses (shock doctrine?) was a chore. Only the silvers move away from their spawn points, the rest dies where they are, being buried in corpse piles. I wonder if a contributing factor is, a lot of people grinding the heroics don't bother looting the corpses, which means a much, much longer despawn time, as the corpse wont despawn until the loot has either been looted or despawned itself (loot will eventually disappear, but on a much longer timer). Playing all 16 advanced classes, I think it's fair to say, balance is non existing. Combat hasn't been "fun" either since Shadow of Revan was released. I wish they would stop trying to put those gloves on their feet and just realise that you can't balance skills for pve and pvp simultaneously. Yes, I still miss my full auto/unload for powertech/vanguard (screw their metrics, it took the *FUN* out of those 2 classes) and I resent the force mend/rend garbage they are trying to ram down the throat of marauder/sentinel players. The skill doesn't belong and has no place there. Just remove it already. -

Let me guess... their metrics showed a large number of people unsubscribing after path? The butthurt was great amongst the casuals who just wanted everything handed on a silver platter. It's like the slot machine fiasco all over again. First ridiculously generous with it's payback chance, then as a knee jerk reaction nuking it into uselessness. And it was such a good idea. Doing things with moderation just doesn't seem to occur to them. -

Yeah, I noticed that. It's a heck of a lot of foot to fit in one mouth -
Tell her that this stuff with hand cuffs is actually quite fun and then measure her wrist size from those?

I still don't understand why they made the h2 versions of the star fortress in the first place. they would for me have been obvious candidates for tactical flashpoints and the option to used group finder to complete that one off you need to do for each planetary sf to unlock the companion (and then grind the solo versions afterwards) -
Yeah, send in ye olde B52's and carpet bomb them with Playboy magazines. See if that has an effect on their structural integrity as an organisation As much as people scoff at the idea, whoever said they need real jobs was actually hitting the nail on the head. The tradition for recruiting zealots for any cause is centuries old and has always been most successful amongst those who feel like they have no future of their own, might as well give their life for somebody else's agenda.

Commercial news are fair and balanced the same way burger is considered fair and balanced diet by a burger chain.

Luckily you only need to do each of the 6 SF's once per toon, so I guess as far as I am concerned, I can survive actually teaming up with another human for that. The whinging is strong on the bioforums at the moment though. Sudden shock and horror at discovering that they may have to use the solo mode for soloing SF's didn't sit well with a lot of people (also a bit funny watching the same 3-4 people constantly spamming the threads with the same message). Personally, I'm more pissed off that the Find a Findsman quest is broken now, so my trooper can't start looking for companions. Broken the same way as Mako's All Work and No Play companion quest, you pick up the mission and only get the title No tasks and no quest triggers. They seriously need to invest more in QA "over there". I think I filed at least 30 bug reports from major nuisances to downright game stopping bugs the last 3 weeks. -
I know it's no comfort, but western girls are just as much victims of fictive "ideals". The fashion industry is a real killer. If curious, try looking up anorexia and suicide rates, cyber bullying, etc. The "western world" is a lot more brutal and cruel than most people give it credit for, not just against other people, but in particular it's own people. Edit to add: It's not all bad of course, but the trick is to adopt the good parts and discard the bad parts and then determine your own way

No, not implying any ugliness. The point of the tale is that the "duckling" feels like the rest of his surroundings consider him as such, until he realises that those opinions aren't what matters, even if he has to suffer a lot in the process (and discovers his own identity and value in the process)
-
@Qistina: If it hasn't been banned yet, I would recommend a story written by a fellow countryman of mine a few centuries ago (I was born Danish) called "The Ugly Duckling". Sounds to me that you are suffering an identity crisis and feel betrayed by what you first wanted to be (and therefore reacting with hostility towards anything related to it).

Heh, Ashara for female inquisitors (my old assassin tank girl) springs to mind. She hates everything (or at least it felt so when levelling up). Had to buy a lot of purple junk to boost her affection pre-4.0 I'm a bit envious of your 7k+ affection. Only had time for one run, the aforementioned 4500 affection points for Mako. May need to practise a bit and see which companions reacts more strongly to certain answers (if at all). I suspect it's a better tool for some companions than others. but then, you really only need 1 or 2 maxed out companions (for the crits in crafting and gathering missions). The data miner guy claims that companion healing is due for a nerf tomorrow. If so, glad I did get my one for all achievement already (and Macroth on the harbinger now has the title 'The One and Only'... yes vanity, not a nice trait, I know) -

I hope it's a bug, but none of your old love affairs seems to appreciate courting gifts anymore. Those who had courting gifts as an "alternative" still love the alternatives, but couldn't care less about courting. Still hanging on to a pile of old purple courting gifts in case it's a bug that gets fixed. Trying to play one faction side through the missions on a couple of servers (bounty hunter/trooper on Harbinger, Jedi Consular/Sith Inquititor on Jedi Covenant etc.) -

Tried out the black talon run with my old main (powertech). Got 4500 influence with Mako for being all nice. Yes, she's a bad influence on my bounty hunter. -
@Orogun: Mate, it sounds like you are trying to build up the courage to propose to a girl or something similarly dreadful Joking aside, based entirely on what little info a few snippets of text gives away, sounds like you lack purpose. Ever considered volunteering for a year for some kind of aid organisation? Anything happening in Cuba that could catch your interest? Just set a goal and be willing to sacrifice 6-12 months of your life to do something completely unusual from what you normally do.

I admire your persistence Gromnir, no one should ever claim you leave a stone unturned I think, I'm going to stick with Esseles/Black Talon and the Belsavis ones and then focus on one or two combat companions (the one or two favourites I got per alt) and then also use that companion(s) to try to get the purple diplomacy/slicing/underworld mates (and crafting for those alts that have crafting skills). Multiple roles is nice, but I think I miss their old skills, like Vector the Diplomat having a knack for diplomacy etc. It's just one of those things that feels like you lost something that made them special. Not my biggest gripe though, I do like that I can bring my favourites along for missions and not worry about class role. Just wish they had actually made combat fun along the way. At the moment, it feels like a third person shooter with little or no tactics involved. Combat and encounter design feels completely fubar (since Shadow of Revan). -

I suspect the results are going to be not representative based entirely on the (possibly wrong) assumption that it takes certain kinds of people to hang out on a video game forum.

A friend and I tried this little online personality test. Unlike most of the "fun" ones out there, this one was almost spooky in how close it got to a lot of things about us. http://www.16personalities.com/ On their website they claim: "Take our Personality Test and get a 'freakishly accurate' description of who you are and why you do things the way you do." Well, it was freakishly accurate (you do need to be honest though in your answers) It labelled me "Logician". Never heard that before, but the details fits like a hand in glove. So, who are you? (takes 15-20 minutes to complete)

Maybe you don't know yourself as well as you thought?
