  1. Emperor Voldemort...
  2. Average Danes move abroad to dodge taxes Serious answer: It happens automatically. Part of your pay goes in the bank, part of it goes to "The Tax Man", which includes state, county and council taxes. You never see that part of your pay. Since all Danes have a serial no. (called CPR No.) from birth and every transaction you do short of a few dollar cash transactions at the ice cream vendor, are traceable to your serial no. Makes it relatively easy to detect irregular patterns. I.e. if you keep spending large amounts above your declared income.
  3. Putin isn't the only one. The Cameron family (British Prime minister) has gotten into the deep end too... Oops
  4. Switzerland is less likely to be the subject of US military intervention... As for the lack of outrage, I'm guessing it's because it's something everyone expected and assumed and a confirmation is just a nice extra, not a startling revelation.
  5. A guy having fun with super hero figures... (first image not %100 worksafe, consider yourself warned) So bad, so good Example from page...
  6. NWN2 isn't the worst mainstream game I've played, but the original campaign was as bad a mix of up and downs as mass effect 3. Some very good parts, some very dire parts (the UFO Enemy Unknown remake probably holds the title of worst "mainstream" game played the last 5 years for me). As for Obsidian, I think (as in entirely subjective) they are better off betting on all horses. Being an independent studio without gold egg laying hens, they need those games that sells mixed with those they desire to make for other reasons than the entirely financial considerations. I.e. keep pitching titles to major publishers, smaller publishers and hopefully a few more self funded smaller titles until they might be able to self fund more ambitious titles. Not sure how they would pull off the latter without losing their identity though, as mass appeal usually means a lot of compromise in the creative direction.
  7. I used to be an avid comics collector. Never cared for the 'super hero' stuff though. Most of it was from the "French/Belgian" school of comics (Rosinski/Van Hamme, Herge, Mezieres, Uderzo/Goscinny, Giraud, Franquin, Peyo etc.) or Spanish language translations (Jodorowsky/Gimenez, Segrelles) At the time I was limited to what was translated into my first language, as my French was never really that good. Edit to add a few names that might be more recognisable for English speaking audiences: Smurfs, Asterix, Blueberry, Tintin, Incal, Linda and Valentin, Iznogood, Thorgal, Lucky Luke to name a few. Edit2: Because I never realised Jodorowsky was Chilean and not Spanish.

Got myself a car. Didn't buy one, just leasing it. A nice little compact Audi A1 sports model with a built in SatNav (which was really it's main selling point for me). First time I've had a car in 15 years. I miss having a motorcycle, but the weather just isn't that pleasant during the winters here in Europe.
  9. If people truly wants to watch the video, google pornstar, bonnie rotten, running around naked/topless in new york. Warning, not safe for work.

Yeah, that's what I meant with it. He is not the kind that builds strong international relations.
  11. Shamelessly quoted out of context
  12. The Acura RSX I was talking about earlier. I'm a bit more modest, waiting for the response to my lease application for a small Audi A1. Crossing fingers and hoping they hurry up.
  13. They don't discuss specific agreements, so unfortunately none of us can prove anything - whether is expensive or cheap. I base my statements on market observations, which I'll happily admit is very subjective. And this is pretty much as close as we get to real information https://www.steampowered.com/steamworks/FAQ.php They don't dicsuss revenue splits, but are a little more forthcoming with marketing - they do not make deductions based on increased bandwith or general marketing, but there is a monthly payment for services. Interesting to note too from the FAQ: Which means any exclusivity is likely to be self imposed and not enforced.
  14. They asked for more privcy

Uh huh... I think you meant that the other way around No more a fan of Trump than of say Berlusconi, but generalisations and absolutes always tends to reduce the strength of a claim. I still believe a Trumpian president would mean a new era of pre WWI isolationism of the US.
  16. New chapter teaser... http://youtu.be/LU8QUKZzRa4 Call me an old cynic, but I couldn't help laughing when I saw it, thinking if this follows the pattern of everything related to 4.0 so far, our first mission is to go hunting for the Emperors news clothes, as he will likely show up without any at first
  17. Strange, personally playing as a character like myself is the last thing i'd want to do in a piece of roleplaying escapism, I prefer to exercise my imagination and explore a different character. No idea what darklands is, but I would play most things that got it's "mood", if not the stting, from old Warhammer source books like "Marienburg - Sold down the River" (old WHFRP)
  18. I think I've soloed most of them except Nightmare Pilgrim, Lucky and whathisname the bigger of the two on Hoth But those were the days before level scaling and world bosses were a joke farmed by highlevel players who didn't give a damn about people trying to get a group together at the intended level. I actually do like it better how works now (alternatively, those bosses should have their own instances and scaled the bosses to the players) Long time no see Jan, hope things are Ok in your little corner of the world.
  19. Yeah, I know. I should post them in the general pictures thread but what the heck... My Jedi Knight "Wyldric" on Red Eclipse (Guardian tank) The Lord of the (Urban) Jungle There is no emotion... just resignation when you realise your "selfie" shot aggroed the World Boss and I'm dead in about 5-10 seconds.
  20. Looks like they ninja patched the bug that had hit most operations with "stationary" bosses. Instead I found a new feature in Dread Palace. At the end of phase 1 of council fight, when you send the first 3 masters back to their thrones, Bestia will hop down again, with full health while you are fighting Calphayus. Not a biggie, just send her packing again. Only problem here was... ...Had the most unusual Dread Palace run yesterday on my cathar merc girl on Red Clipse. If anyone had told me I would stick around for 3.5 hours of Dread Palace without rage quitting, I would have said they were crazy. I only just started gearing her up and wanted to find a dps slot for a Dread Fortress run (being GF ops of the day). Instead this guy was looking for all roles for Dread Palace and I thought, ah what the heck I hadn't finished Oricon anyway so it wouldn't make much difference (apart from a few dozen crystals). First thing ops leader asks me when I joined was: "Have you done Dread Palace before?" Me: "Ummm.... yeeees?" Him: "Great!" and poof, ops lead was handed to me. Turned out that none of 5 guys in the group before me had ever done it. Eventually we ended up with a full group and only one guy had seen the inside of the Dread Palace before. Let it not be said I'm a quitter or give up easily So I agreed to give it a shot and see if I could guide this group of guys and girls through their first full run of Dread Palace. As luck would have it, they were all a bunch of great people. Good listeners, adapting and correcting mistakes in subsequent tries and we never wiped more than twice on a fight, succeeding in at least the third try. Took a *lot* of explaining and typing on my part (no TS or mumble) and marking both enemies, floor areas etc. spending up to 15-20 minutes before a fight and then 5 minutes more if we wiped to explain what needed changing (and often a lot of very fast, typo filled typing during the fights). Some things are just easier to explain after people enter and have a go at it first, as they at least have some reference points then. As said, good listeners and their sheer joy and enthusiasm at succeeding made it worth sitting through it. One of my more pleasant memories from the game despite it taking so long
  21. Great, I just read the firt few pages and moved it to the POE section...

Over a period of a fortnight, it's roughly a 50/50 split between spending time at the clients place(s) and working from home. I try to visit our head office once a month.

Not quite out in the country side yet, took the first and best apartment I could get to have a roof over my head. Not that it makes much difference at this time of year. It's as cold and miserable as Scandinavia, so a disproportinal amount of time is spent indoors anyway. I've actually never been to the UK when it hasn't been winter. Looking forward to experience it through spring, summer, fall etc. So besides the inside of offices or whatever is next to the m3, m4, m25, m23, m20 etc. I haven't had much of a chance to experience what the country has to offer yet. I get along quite well with the locals though, wherever I go, whether it be Cornwall, Sussex, Essex, Surrey, Kent or the Greater London area. If you have lived off German food for a year, anything else is considered a delicacy (I've mentioned it before, one of my pet peeves with Germany was the atrocious quality of the "food" products in the supermarkets and grocery stores, specialty stores may be exempt from that generalisation)

A bit lazy of me because I'm at work right now. The rundown Wiki page about the event My own tl;dr version, Maastricht Treaty was about the ever increasing integration and erosion of national sovereignty, giving that up in favour of the EU institutions. In true democratic nature, the "Eurocrat" politicians in Denmark were horrified when the voting results became official and promptly decided a new referendum was needed (and they would probably repeat that until the stupid people finally voted the way they were supposed to). In order to prevent a repeat of the first result, Denmark got 4 exemptions added to the agreement that pretty much left the country out of those key elements and letting the Danes have more autonomy in areas that other countries weren't offered (because the politicians there never asked people if they wanted it, they simply signed away chunks of sovereignty to Bruxelles at the time). I voted no at the second referendum too, but sadly the second result was a yes (with the key elements of the Maastricht treaty not applying to Denmark). It's also the reason Denmark could keep it's own currency for example.

Exactly my point right here! The constitution of the Unites States specifically FORBIDS the Federal Government from interfering with the governance of the states except in the execution of the responsibilities assigned to the Federal Government by the Constitution. Social things like gay marriage is not among those. That he thinks he can is a problem! That he does so and gets away with it is a bigger problem! Not directly related to the US election, but similar sentiments is what keeps most Scandinavians (and the UK) from ever having developed warm feelings for the entire European "Union" concept. Free and open markets, etc. yes. A super national construct telling individual countries how they should run their countries, no. Proud voter of "No!" to the Maastrict treaty in 1992
