  2. That's pretty lame.
  3. WTF
  4. I installed BG1Tutu without having TotSC at first (couldn't find my disk) and it ran just fine. I only needed to put some file in the override directory, but that was perfectly explained in the instructions. In fact, I had many more problems trying to update the installation when I found my TotSC disk. I believe the problems caused by not having TotSC have been solved in v4.
  5. Yeah, Nurbs would be THE candidate for the "storyline discussion" forum. Damn shame they shut it down. Oh well...
  6. You don't want to go around making that sort of comments if you want to win this "election". "
  7. A poll in which I can vote for myself? Not that I was going to, anyway. I didn't know we need more mods, to be honest.
  8. Uh, well, yes. Specifically, you need BG1, BG2, and the latest patches for both. TotSC and ToB are recommended but not necessary, too. But I assumed he was asking just about the downloads, anyway. And what it does is run the BG1 content on the improved IE used by SoA, thus allowing for higher resolutions (as high as SoA normally allows for), and the extended rules of that game, thus allowing you to start the game as, say, a half-orc kensai.
  9. Whoa! What was that, Hades? Oh, right. It's just you flip flopping. Carry on, then.
  10. Yes, you can. It's designed for that. In fact, when you kill Sarevok, Tutu generates a "transition save" that automatically starts the SoA content once you uninstall Tutu and load said savegame. You don't even need to export. And to run Tutu all you need is BG1Tutu. It's highly recommended that you download the BG1Tutu fixpack, too, and follow the instructions from the website, as the ones included in the package readme are missing some critical steps. All other downloads are optional. Also, as Tutu is WeiDU based, I recommend that you choose which components you want to install when prompted, instead of installing them all, as not all of them may interest you. I got some weird errors the first times and it took me a while to get it working, but it definitely does. And if you're thinking of replaying BG1, it's the best way to do it.
  11. Yeah, nobody likes the FEMA chairman these days, eh.
  12. Not to mention 1337.
  13. But only if I can skin Elminster and the rest of the munchkins. )
  14. Well, I was referring more to his ability to become invincible for as long as it was convenient for plot reasons, disregarding regular game mechanics. But yeah, that too. "
  15. Yes, you have already made that point in previous posts. And it has been defused as well. The problem here is that you keep trying to search for solid arguments to back your tastes. There is no such thing, as it's more of an emotional question than a rational one, and if you keep trying, you will keep failing.
  16. So, for you: Incoherent gibberish = debate. Rational, well formulated debate = "endless rambling". Boy, you really do live in Bizarro World.
  17. Typical Volourn post.
  18. Nah, it's you who is still clueless. Hopelessly clueless, it would seem, judging by the tone and purpose of your last posts. You see, discussions go like this: when you make a certain statement that goes outside of what are strictly your personal preferences (ie. "Irenicus isn't a good villain"), people will expect you to back said statement with either undisputable proof, or a sound reasoning. You have failed to produce either, so far. But hey, you're not the first one to do that, and I'm afraid that you won't be the last. Keep going, though. That's how "legends" are forged.
  19. I pointed to the flaws in your points. You failed to come up with a coherent rebuttal, and instead replied with this flame bait: You auto-lose. Which is the same as saying nothing. You say that Irenicus doesn't fit because the BG saga is supposed to be about your character alone and with serious focus on the Bhaalspawn plot. But then again, you fail to grasp the idea that the game isn't about what you think it should be, but about what the writers wanted it to be. So, yeah. You have just proven that you just don't (can't?) read: The only thing that is "tantamount to blasphemy" for me are outright lies, or patent idiocy. I tend to react strongly to those, yes. Not to personal preferences and opinions. If you had just said "I don't like Irenicus", I wouldn't have had anything to say. But for starters, it was you who stirred up the debate and claimed that Irenicus wasn't a "good villain". Do you want me to look the quote up, too?
  20. Darth Malak.
  21. I can punch you in the mouth for free, if you want. Rude, yet disturbingly amusing. Also, I think the only reason to play MMORPGs is bragging rights, but that's just me.
  22. The question is, how long before I can scratch that spot in my back with the power of my mind?
  23. :D
