  1. mmhm.. I love the smell of butthurt in the morning.
  2. This is a valid point. In the late game, he will continue summoning skeletons when he hits 3 charges, even if you have higher level summons. It's kinda makes his AI useless. :/
  3. 1) Boomerangs, throwing stars, and whips! Also talking weapons. 2) Pickpocketing. 3) Ranged animal companion. Idk, a spitting llama or something.
  4. The best thing to do in this case, is to explore the game yourself.
  5. I just had a banter between Zahua and Kana, so it's in there alright. And it's pretty damn funny!
  6. OE seems like they update steam abit faster, when stuff happens thou. Might be easier for them to work with. GOG Galaxy will probably measure up to par in a not too far away future, so it's really irrelevant unless you think DMR is an issue. My advice is to use origin, so you only have PoE in your client. That way, it won't be lost among your 1000's of other games.
  7. Congrats on the expansion and the 100th update Obsidian!
  8. Happy to report that the expansion has been installed, and the game start menu confirms it. No problems at all. Many thanks for your great work!
  9. I rushed in and redeemed mine, then I read this Damnit! :D
  10. I went with all of them. A few returning team members always brings some familiarity to a sequel, and cetainly have worked well in games before. Maybe just quick cameos for others. Or even just a mention of a companion, a funny story or his/hers impact on the world. If the sequel is years laters, it would be cool to meet children or friends of old companions aswell. Ofc not the child of the old protagonist, since there was no romance thou. ; )
  11. While I like the party AI option for the IE feelsies, I'd second that improved enemy AI is a much more needed "feature".
  12. @Sensuki Fair enough and too bad. May you find your IE fix in TToN and later titles then.
  13. I feel you Matt about the battles in the later part of the game. I think Josh talked in an interview somewhere about valid criticism about adding more difficulty to the game for hardcore players, so I think that will be the case. Overall the improvements looks very nice, and the freedom of choice to use them or not is fantastic. Hopefully Sensuki will actually be able to enjoy the game now albeit abit late. Despite whatever has happened, I think everyone would want that for him. Fantastic job OE and cool to hear from you on the forum again Mr. Sawyer! Edit: Here is the quote Matt -> "The most frequent complaints focused on[...] reduced combat challenge in the late game"
  14. I took a stand based on the quality of Codexian content (which has become a controversial topic as of late), which was backed by some of the staff members (including one who was also privy to the PM until he ejected from it) and many of the forum members. I did so with the consultation of around 15 other Codexers. As a result, we got Vault Dweller and Grunker's (partial) review which offers a more measured outlook and doesn't give a free pass on various obvious faults with the game, and does not serve as an advertisement or propaganda piece. I'm content with the outcome (and the fallout) and I've never been afraid to be in the line of fire. As to publishing the review Shevek - go right ahead. I wanted to expose what you guys were doing, TBH I was actually surprised that it was not published. You took a stand. You asked some people (not the most involved person it seems). You're content.. You're not afraid to be in the line of fire. But this isn't about you. You were only asked, in private, to look at an unfinished review in progress. The problem is that you backstabbed and betrayed. Besides your reasoning is flawed. If you want to discuss the merit of the review and standards of the sites content, how dare you submit an unfinished piece. That makes your argument invalid. An incomplete product is not a reflection of anything. It's a work in progress.
  15. You know man.. It's really abit sad. You can rationalize it, you can post all your little gimmicks, and make your smilies all you want. At the end of the day, you made a **** move. Atleast you have stripped yourself of all pretence. It's too bad you didn't like the game, you backed and worked on, but give it a rest man.
  16. Can't wait to see how Sensuki spins his next defeat at the hands of Brian Fargo. He plans to test TToN like he did PoE, and I wonder if he really expects InXile to find him the least bit less laughable than Obsidian. He is not a developer, not even a QA tester. He is just a dude with seemingly no real life commitments and a pathetic, little man as shown in recent events.
  17. I would love OE to add **** to the game. As shown here. I'd also like to see some great ****! As shown below. Yeah.. Ima bird guy! Edit: Why do you censor bird names?
  18. I don't get it either. If this were to published as a review on the codex, and someone leaked it to foil an official release for what ever reason of disagreement, they're pathetic.
  19. If I hadn't played the game yet, I'd wait for both parts of the first expansion before playing.
  20. Okay, my reactions to the Josh talk and gameplay video. + First of all, great that it's an TotSC style expansion, which means that the extra companions will be for the whole game. And ++ for new companions (plural). + Cool to add on the underwhelming Stronghold with some world reaction to your accomplishment. Good way to introduce a new quest aswell. + Nice with the party AI system. + Optional level scaling for the hardcores. + Multiclass skills looks interesting. - Not loving the snow theme, but w/e, it'll be cool to really see the graphics upgrades compared to Icewind Dale. - Don't think level cap raise is needed. I fear for a sequel. If you start at lvl 14 with highlvl spells and only meet legendary foes, I'd be sad. ++++ And finally.. SNOW OGRE CANNONEER!!! HELL YEAH!!!
