  1. Got an itch to play TW: Medieval War 2. I'm playing as the Scots, so far I've taken England and a few mainland towns in Europe. I'm also working on the Holy Land, but it's tough to get my nobles there, takes like 5 years.
  2. I think that's a bad choice, you really need to watch the first one and then the second to get a glimpse into how Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell grow in their abilities. Then you watch Army of Darkness as the culmination of their growth. It's like a coming of age movie hidden in three films. At least make sure you read Bruce Campbell's first book.
  3. State of Play - Very good political thriller. Excellent cast!
  4. I enjoy action movies for what they are, I don't expect them to be fine art. Shoot Em Up was uncomfortable for me though, I think it was the whole baby aspect.
  5. I think I heard some concerns about the draw distance on the consoles. Not that I would buy it on a console, but I wonder what they did to compensate.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_ORanGnyLQ Best theme ever.
  7. NHL10 - For the first time in my professional video game hockey playing life, I might need to increase the time of the games. Typically, I play 5 minute periods. I can usually get around 30 shots in a game like that, which is about average for a real hockey game. But the new NHL10 is tough, you spend a lot more time battling along the boards, and the defensive coverage is fantastic, plus the AI strips the puck from you much more frequently. It's amazing, much more like a real hockey game. So I think I need to up the time of the games, because I'm getting less than 20 shots on net on average, as is my opponents.
  8. Too bad the Giants didn't take advantage. They are really struggling at the worst possible time.
  9. That's awesome.
  10. I can run on a treadmill (I prefer the stationary bike) at the gym because there are usually enough cute girls to keep me occupied.
  11. I love how teams have to work the lineup when they don't have a DH, so I support getting rid of it. I love the Wild Card. It's already a pretty small postseason, you have a lot of teams competing and only 8 get in, and then the first round is rather fast with a best of 5. As a hockey fan I find it downright odd.
  12. That was my first impression, it probably wouldn't get approved.
  13. I have no clue what a dorsal raise or a tricep dip is. I guess I'll ask my wife who was a personal trainer.
  14. Pushups - 30 Situps - 65 1.5 Mile - Maybe 18 minutes or so, my pedometer didn't seem to be working right. I guess it is set to my wife's stride. I did 2 miles in 23 minutes, so I estimated. Pretty terrible, but I like where this is going, I really do need to get in better shape and shed about 15-20 pounds.
  15. That picture seems to be at an odd angle.
  16. I find you lack of links disappointing. Is it ? Nope, I guess it was HoMM II, here is a link: This one is good too:
  17. I don't think it is volcanic dust, so that probably isn't a concern.
  18. Heroes of Might and Magic, I think the third one, had this great Opera music.
  19. I didn't like Psycho. My grandmother showed it to me when I was 8. Do you live with her in a creepy motel?
  20. I'm willing to do this, it just might be a bit tough to schedule it in. I actually try and do sit-ups and push-ups in the morning before I get dressed, so I'll try timing it.
  21. I'd say Batman is like Bioshock in the atmospheric sense. There are wonderful tapes scattered around the island that give little tidbits, and the graphics really draw you in. But in every other regard I'd say it is vastly superior to Bioshock.
  22. I loved it and I'm ready for the end.
  23. Baldur's Gate 2 - Just played through the Anomen story line bit, funny stuff. Also playing a game or two a day of NHL10.
  24. It has never crossed my mind that I may have "settled" for my wife. Every day I look at her and I think, hot damn, how'd I convince her to put up with me all these years? Then I go out and buy her something to keep her happy. Good times. Looks are really just an initial stage, as is status. Given some time, any relationship has to move past beauty and status and find a deeper connection, otherwise it will turn to crap pretty fast. I'll divulge a little embarrassing tidbit about my own relationship to make my point. For some reason my wife lost complete interest in sex for about 3 years. It was torture. I didn't know what to do, either did she. It was like a switch had been turned off. We fought quite a bit, but at no point did I ever think about giving up on the marriage. Then the switched turned back on, and it was like we had just met all over again. If it was just about looks and status, we never would have gotten through that time.
