I tend to pick RP servers when offered, not because my need to act like a scottish dwarf, but because the overall maturity level tends to be higher. Griefers don't last all that long on RP servers because they get reported quite frequently.

It's really dragging on too long, I feel like I've totally forgotten everything at this point. Maybe once he releases two more, I'll sit down and re-read the whole thing. I'm just not sure I've ever seen a write take this long on releasing a series. I know guys like Robert Jordan dragged it out, but at least he was releasing a book here and there. Martin is sooooo slow.

The Giants are probably out of it at this point. It's hard to get too down, they had a heck of a season considering they only have one decent bat in the lineup. I hope they figure out a way to lose some of the old guys for next year, they really have been a let down. If they can keep the pitching and add two more bats I think they can compete with LA on a regular basis.

I might consider the Song of Fire and Ice series when it is finished, but right now it's just a big cliffhanger.

Eh, I've gotten a ton of free content from LotR Online, or rather a ton of content for $10 a month. I haven't had any single player games match that.

Phaneuf might be feeling a bit vulnerable, he is no longer the top defenseman in Calgary in terms of salary.

Heh, I remember entering one town in F3 with 2 people, a nuka cola obsessed girl and a guy who was in love with her. My first thought was how the heck do these two survive out here? Then I realized it was a video game.

I play solo about 90% of the time in MMO's. There are a few things I enjoy about being online: 1. Chatting up guildmates while I am busy doing quests. It alleviates the grind tremendously. 2. Watching other folks engaging in combat nearby makes me feel like I'm part of something larger. Also, sometimes when I'm trying to finish a quest, I might not be able to do it, so I come back another time when other folks are in the area, and it can be a lot easier. I don't even have to group, it just helps to have people nearby taking out mobs.

I was looking at the Lucasarts package on Steam, with the Indy games, Dig, and Loom. They look like they've been re-done graphically! I might have to pick them up, you get all 4 for $10. I was also looking at the Jedi package. I only played Dark Forces. I was thinking of grabbing Jedi Knight and the rest, but some of the games look very dated. I'm not sure which ones are really worth it. I can put up with lousy graphics in adventure and RPG games, but I need more from shooters.

Are people generally impressed when a player injures another during preseason? I guess he could remove the pre from season, but it seems like a pretty safe statement from Kor there.

Doomsday - Phenomenal. I went in not expecting much, but I was absolutely blown away. It is a fantastic post apoc. movie, I'd put it right alongside Mad Max. The lead actress was great, but there was this one cannibal girl with face paint and swords that was just drop dead gorgeous. There were some silly parts, apparently cannibalism is a fantastic diet that will make you look like a model, but overall it was a very enjoyable film.

oh man i lol'd so hard Because he is right? He grew up reading them, they are wonderful books, I don't know where you feel the need to be patronizing there.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what it was about Unfinished Business. It just goes to show how hard it is to catch lightning in a bottle. It had all the JA elements, but it just fell flat.

Favorite book is Master and Margarita by Bulgakov, but for a series I would have to give a nod to Bernard Cornwell's epic Richard Sharpe series. I should re-read Master and Margarita though, been a few years.

Fallout 3 was the my top game of 2008. 4 encounters in 30 minutes of wasteland exploring actually seems like a lot. It's a wasteland. If you are really hard up for a fight head towards the capitol.

It'd be nice if they just had an option for respawns. It seems like it would be a pretty easy one to program in. Personally I'm happy with no enemies crawling around, but it would be pretty lame without indigenous life.

Hiring professional WoW player. $50,00~$100,00 per hour.
Hurlshort replied to ramza's topic in Computer and Console
I thought it was $50,000, not $50, for a second there. Yeah, he wants someone to game with him and he's willing to pay them. It's a bit sad, but it isn't terribly shocking. They guy probably is decently well off and can't make any good reliable friends in the game. Given the sheer amount of people who log in tons of hours in WoW, his social skills must be terrible if he can't find a guildmate to do this stuff with. I'm thinking about applying for the nemesis job. It's local for me. -
It was somewhat popular on these forums. I was frustrated by the respawn rate myself, but I'd still call it a good purchase. The graphics alone are really in a different league than almost everything else.

The wonders and workings of the female psyche
Hurlshort replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Way Off-Topic
Im a pretty pragmatic guy, I might throw my keys in the basket... if she had any money. But she doesnt, so.. I guess these wild oats will remain untamed. Ok, that sounds shallow. Do you mean she doesn't have a job or any career prospects? Because that is understandable, because those women usually have a lot bigger issues as a whole. -
One nice thing about the PS3 version of NHL10 is the roster updates. There are already some out, and all I have to do is put them on a memory stick and copy them onto the PS3. The Sharks are extremely tight on the salary cap though, I really don't even have room to move players back and forth easily. I only have one player scratched right now, and the rest are in the minors. I'll have to let someone go somewhere.

The wonders and workings of the female psyche
Hurlshort replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Way Off-Topic
Do you mean unless he was all grown up and mature? I'm just saying, she probably is tired of playing the game, she wants to find a guy that is interested in settling down and starting a family. They are out there. -
Activision or EA would have given it to a developer, so that's really impossible to say.

You have to keep in mind that Interplay is trying hard to milk every last dime out of the Fallout license, rather than just handing over the IP to Bethesda for a reasonable price. Beth paid a lot to get Fallout 3 originally, and then they did all the work to revive the franchise. I know a lot of folks aren't happy with Bethesda having the rights to Fallout, but I'd say Interplay has been a much worse steward of the Fallout universe.

I've been watching episodes of "The IT Crowd" Pretty funny, but the first episode of the second season had me hyperventilating with laughter. Very good stuff.

I only fight 1 in every 5 battles in the TW games
