I'm walking! I started last night, it's nice to be off the crutches. I go to get X-Rays next Wednesday, so technically I'm not really supposed to walk, but it has been 5 1/2 weeks and my leg feels great. I'm slow, my ankle and knee are stiff, but it's wonderful to have my hands free to carry stuff again. First thing I did was rearrange my classroom.

I'm actually a little excited to hear this, I mean I'm sad for the guy, but now we might get to see all those books he has been writing in seclusion for the last 50 years.

Ridiculous. Games cost money to develop. Then they are offered for sale. Not paying for them is stealing. How exactly do you expect developers to track who pirates instead of buying a game? Should they take a poll? Just because something is difficult to monitor does not mean it does not exist.

I'm just surprised how willing people are to throw someone under the bus. I prefer to give her the benefit of the doubt and ask her to explain further (granted her explanation of it being ironic was weak, but supposedly she borrowed the quote from Republican strategist Lee Atwater.) Don't you see what a witch hunt this is? She says something negatively about Fox News and suddenly this quote pops up and every conservative news site is calling her a Maoist.

It amazes me how many people mention piracy as a solution to DRM. You do not actually need to play these games. This whole sense of entitlement people carry around is really sad.

I'm not sure why Mariah Carey would be considered a talentless singer. She can hit some pretty amazing notes on a regular basis. I would agree with the crazy drunk boob singer moniker though.

A bunch of us are saying the same thing and Wrath isn't getting it, so I'm going to let it rest. It's probably a language barrier issue, I remember that English is not Wrath's first language.

That's called Fallout Tactics. Except they totally ****ed up pretty much everything in Fallout: Tactics. Missions are way too long, lorewise the game is annoying. Your charachters have no personality etc.. I enjoyed Tactics, but it was a far cry from JA2. The character personalities was probably the biggest crime, but the horrid inventory was probably a close second.

Okay, now it makes sense. Fun gadged no doubt, though I think I would personally prefer a mini-laptop. I'm not a big fan of the netbooks, myself.

To piggyback on that, I've been thinking about a strategic foreclosure on my condo. We currently owe $360,000 and it is only worth about $200,000. Our loans are fairly cruddy, a 7% interest on an 80% loan and 10% on a home equity line that covers the other 20%. I'm going to try to talk to the bank first, but it just feels like we are throwing away money. We can afford it, but we can also rent a much nicer house for half the mortgage. What a headache.

I'm pretty excited. I haven't missed an episode yet, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how they wrap it up.

Steam is a good service, but the only reason I put up with the whole online stuff is because they offer great discounts. Plus, I believe they have an offline mode, although I haven't used it.

Again, two of my favorite is not my two favorite. That is a huge difference. Her list of favorite philosophers could have hundreds on it. We could ask her to clarify that, but that might hurt the argument that she is some crazed Maoist.

I don't like Obermann either. I'm not democrat or a liberal, I prefer to look at each issue and weigh it on its own, rather than following a party line.

That's a shame. I don't really see Interplay releasing anything good, and the studio they chose sounds pretty suspect. Whereas a Bethesda MMO would at least be an interesting sandbox experience, although I imagine they are focused on the rumored Elder Scrolls MMO more than a potential Fallout Online.

Isn't there a whole legal dispute over this project? I'm really doubting this game will see the light of day, MMO's have enough trouble getting released under good circumstances. I think there was a screenshot floating around awhile back too. edit: Masthead is a Bulgarian studio with no releases. Sounds like a recipe for success!

Again, you are putting words in her mouth. The whole bullying news style that I see from folks like Glen Beck and O'Rielly has always bothered me. It's easy to tear people down and they've made a living off of it.

I'd like to see more confirmation on this. That FAQ is a bit vague. edit: Like it mentions you do not need the CD to play the game, but is there an alternative where you can use the CD and that allows you to play online? It needs clarification, for sure.
