  1. That's not surprising in the least. It's a Bioware game, it will have high production values and will be considered by the general gaming press as the top RPG on the market. It would be more surprising if it was considered a bomb.
  2. I watched about 40 minutes of Jackass 2. While it was funny, I can't really stomach a full movie of it, I'll have to watch it in segments.
  3. Grats Kor. I'll have to remember to post the ultrasound when my wife and I get it done on a few weeks
  4. Speaking of bros, women seem to really have trouble with other women. Sure, they might have a couple female friends, but they probably have twice as many women that they despise.
  5. Wow. How old is that thing? I'm amazed that it still runs, but then again it probably produces 1/10 the heat of modern laptops.
  6. EVE is a fairly unique MMO, so it's hard to compare it to the more traditional ones. It's tough because the endgame is really only for the hardcore, and they probably aren't a huge audience, but they are a vocal one and if treated right, the most loyal to a game. Casual MMO'ers like myself tend to jump around a bit and enjoy different games at different times.
  7. AoC also didn't have much of a mid-game, to be honest. It had a fantastic 1-20 experience that brought everyone in, and then it dropped off terribly.
  8. That is pretty standard for most MMO's when they first come out. I've never really cared, as I usually take at least a year to reach end-game content. By that point there is usually enough new content put in.
  9. It is pretty easy to get into the open beta, so I'm guessing the vast majority of lifetime subscribers will have already tried it out that way. I actually regret not buying the lifetime sub. for LotR Online. I would be in the black at this point. But I also don't mind paying a few bucks a month for a great service, so there ya go. It looks like an interesting game, bit different than the typical MMO with the ship design and all that. I might go fr a trial someday, but I'm not a huge ST fan, so I'm not dying to play it.
  10. I think it's awesome to see folks like alanschu and Nightshape get jobs in the industry. I would hate to see them driven away from the forums because of that.
  11. Wasn't that innkeeper cook guy a dwarf in JE?
  12. Not very often, but I only buy albums from a few artists I really like. Plus I pay $5 a month to have unlimited music on Napster.
  13. In my observation, unpopular stuff mostly sucks as well, as it is unpopular for good reason.
  14. I knew you would go after episode one Gorgon It's funny that you put entire IP's as your first two pukefests, TMNT and Crocodile Dundee, but then you only go after one movie for the Star Wars universe. Did you know there is an entire generation that grew up with Episode 1 being their first introduction to the Star Wars universe? Are they somehow inferior because they grew up at a different time? What, exactly, are you the best in? You've taken it as some personal quest to poop on everything popular. Is there some sort of benefit to that snobbery that I'm missing out on? Please let me know.
  15. I believe the war against DRM was called off because no one cares.
  16. Sounds like something somebody says when they're trying to get pregnant. I hope I'm not the only one who held my wife upside down when trying to get pregnant.
  17. Like 80% of everything I have ever done has been to impress a woman, so I'm pretty sure they've got the upper hand.
  18. So we can look forward to the big Daddy being a washed up celebrity in about 10 years? Awesome! Which one do you think will finally jump the shark?
  19. I'm not really excited for it. I liked Bioshock for a time, but I ended up losing interest and not finishing it. I also think that the fact it is not being developed by Irrational is a step in the wrong direction. The new developer seems much more focused on making it a full on FPS rather than expanding on the slight traces of RPG-ness in the original.
  20. Those are great examples of things that are awesome.
  21. I really enjoyed the Postman, and I watch it quite often when I come across it. I don't know what it is, just seems very charming.
  22. I've also read studies that show conservatives on average have more money than liberals. It makes sense, liberals are too busy hugging trees and buying birkenstocks to hold down a good job.
  23. May be, it was before I started playing games, or at least I wasn't aware of it at the time. Maybe you have just become jaded over time, or you've placed the early games on a pedestal? I'm not sure how you can possibly put JE over DA on the quality scale. I liked JE, but I think most folks agree it isn't their best work, whereas DA has gotten quite a bit of positive reaction from the community.
  24. With the aid pouring in, it would be great if they could take all those donations and really lay the groundwork for a solid infrastructure.
  25. I saw it this weekend and commented on it. Somehow I ended up putting it above Waterworld and below Postman in the post apoc. movie category. I did enjoy it though, I'd agree with 8/10.
