Dragon Age discussion
I'd rate Dragon Age a good deal higher than Jade Empire. DA was fantastic. Of course I personally enjoyed them both, so keep that in mind. The difference between the two for me was in the world creation and lore. JE came across as smaller and not as well developed. Of course that is probably just because it was a more foreign concept to me to be in an Asian fantasy than a medieval fantasy.

What are You playing now?
I bought Star Wars: The Force Unlaced for the the PS3 to occupy me during my leg healing. I haven't loaded it up yet, but I think it will be a fun diversion and the price was good.

What you did today
I'm feeling good, I think I'm done with the narcotic meds and can just use ibuprofen to help the soreness. My swelling around the ankle and knee and gone, and I can put a bit of pressure on the foot now. Still bruised like hell, but everything is getting back to normal.

New Mass Effect 2 Character
Seven different archetypes is actually a pretty good number. I could see a complaint if there were like 3.

LoF is the only one trying to use scripture to prove his point.

I pretty much agree with GD on the faith aspect.

This isn't really a revelation, no pun intended.

Will Obsidian end up with another Jefferson?
That's the thing, folks played Gothic 3 and enjoyed it. The developers took the good stuff and tried to improve on it. Now we have Risen, which is lot more stable and fixes some major issues. What else can you ask for? Not every game is going to be a home run.

Will Obsidian end up with another Jefferson?
Stop being obtuse. He's not the one being obtuse. He's right, all your examples are playable games with endings and functioning gameplay. It may not be up to your standard, or even the standard of the average gamer, but they meet a minimum requirement for functionality.

NHL
Patrick Marleau scored his 300th and 301st career goals last night, and they've all been with the Sharks. I really hope they find a way to keep Marleau and Thornton over the next few prime years of their careers. He has a chance of getting 500 goals all with one club, and that is special in today's sports. Makes all those trade rumors sound crazy over the alst two years.

Your Top Ten Games
These are personal top ten lists, Hell Kitty probably has a great reason for putting those games in there, and questioning the quality of those titles is a moot point.

Will Obsidian end up with another Jefferson?
I wonder is anyone here has actually funneled large amounts of their money into something. Investments are not easy. I don't envy publishers their jobs.

Movies you have seen recently
District 9 - Good. I guess it is set up for a sequel, but I can't really imagine it carrying the same message a second time through. I think it is stronger as a stand alone movie. Extract - Disappointing. Office Space is the bees knees, but this didn't have the charm. I suppose it's tough to hit it out of the park every time. I also watched my blu-ray versions of Galaxy Quest and Gladiator. Always fun, I like the extras.

Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes for the DS. Fantastic game, kind of a mix of Puzzle Quest of Final Fantasy Tactics. It really is an engaging puzzle and RPG mix.

Drugs are bad... mmmkay?
Well, is she fat? That might be your first clue... What an odd question. Brittany Murphy's weight and frame change drastically from her early movies in hollywood to the present. But eating disorders are sadly too common in Hollywood. Drug use is also seen as another way of keeping weight off. There is also a lot of rumor and conjecture circulating. She might have had diabetes, which can a be a very serious issue when trying to maintain the skinny hollywood look.

Ask me about Communism.
That is a bit of a stretch. He played a critical role in World War II turning out the way it did. He was a master orator and one of the earliest leaders to push for war against Germany. You can find major flaws in all famous leaders throughout history, but lets give credit where credit is due.

What you did today

Steam Holiday Sale
I got GTA 4. Then i got bored of GTA 4 real fast. Which was surprising given how long i spent playing Vice City and San Andreas. I'm a big fan of story-driven games, characterisation and all that, but not when it gets in the way of random acts of violence and general mayhem. GTA 4 was too much like hard work. Those were my exact sentiments as well. I think the game must appeal to people who don't have to juggle friends and girlfriends calling them constantly in real life at inopportune moments. It was definitely a very different game than the previous GTA's. I found myself less comfortable just jumping in with the sandbox elements. It was too serious. If you want a game like the older GTA's, get Saint's Row 2. It is phenomenal.

I'm not sure what the point of your picture is. Clearly the artist has put up the crucifix on purpose.

Hit Girl
I find Nicholas Cage to be a completely unpredictable actor. I've loved some of his movies and been bored to tears by some. There is very little consistency. Matchstick Men and Adaptation rate very highly with me, but then there is the Wicker Man and Ghost Rider to drag it down. But the girl seems to be the focus here. The strong language made me uncomfortable, which is odd because the brainy bits being blown all over was less of a concern. That's America for ya

Good Jul!
That's awesome Kaftan, thanks for the history. I usually can't sleep on Christmas Eve. You would think that growing up would somehow tame the excitement I have over Christmas morning, but I still get way too excited. At least now I can share that with my daughter, as this year she is all about Santa coming.

Just saw Avatar
Money spent making film: $236 million Money spent advertising film: $150 million Money earnt world-wide in the first week or so of screening: $300 million It will be interesting to see what type of longevity the movie has. That is what set Titanic apart, it just kept having huge weeks rather than dropping precipitously like the majority of films.

Hit Girl
That does look like a pretty unique movie.
