  1. I got GTA 4. Then i got bored of GTA 4 real fast. Which was surprising given how long i spent playing Vice City and San Andreas. I'm a big fan of story-driven games, characterisation and all that, but not when it gets in the way of random acts of violence and general mayhem. GTA 4 was too much like hard work. Those were my exact sentiments as well. I think the game must appeal to people who don't have to juggle friends and girlfriends calling them constantly in real life at inopportune moments. It was definitely a very different game than the previous GTA's. I found myself less comfortable just jumping in with the sandbox elements. It was too serious. If you want a game like the older GTA's, get Saint's Row 2. It is phenomenal.
  2. I'm not sure what the point of your picture is. Clearly the artist has put up the crucifix on purpose.

I find Nicholas Cage to be a completely unpredictable actor. I've loved some of his movies and been bored to tears by some. There is very little consistency. Matchstick Men and Adaptation rate very highly with me, but then there is the Wicker Man and Ghost Rider to drag it down. But the girl seems to be the focus here. The strong language made me uncomfortable, which is odd because the brainy bits being blown all over was less of a concern. That's America for ya
  4. That's awesome Kaftan, thanks for the history. I usually can't sleep on Christmas Eve. You would think that growing up would somehow tame the excitement I have over Christmas morning, but I still get way too excited. At least now I can share that with my daughter, as this year she is all about Santa coming.
  5. Money spent making film: $236 million Money spent advertising film: $150 million Money earnt world-wide in the first week or so of screening: $300 million It will be interesting to see what type of longevity the movie has. That is what set Titanic apart, it just kept having huge weeks rather than dropping precipitously like the majority of films.

That does look like a pretty unique movie.
  7. keep in mind, hurlshot is probably on some very serious drugs right now. it does seem like more than just a "thank you," however. taks These drugs are pretty great.
  8. Mount & Blade is a fantastic game, I've sunk a ton of hours into it.
  9. Wow, that green glowing stuff on your sword doesn't look healthy, that troll should really eat better. And you probably shouldn't do any more stool samples with a sword.
  10. Hmm, that is pretty fancy. The item and design itself aren't too serious, but going through Tiffany's is big time in my eyes. I mean if you'd bought it at Macy's for a hundred bucks it'd be no big deal, but Tiffany's is pretty high end. Just my initial impression, otherwise it is a very nice gift, You could probably phrase it to be more of a friendship gift, like saying thanks for helping you through a rough time in your life.
  11. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to do christmas shopping. I might be postponing it this year a bit.
  12. I'm really quite bummed that I won't be able to see this soon. With my broken leg, I don't think 3 hours in a theatre will be all that fun. Hopefully it stays out for awhile.
  13. I'm now officially part man, part machine.
  14. Heading into surgery in about an hour. The hardest part so far has been going to the bathroom. I have no ability to go laying down, apparently, so I have to swing over the side and stand on a crutch while keeping the broken leg off the ground. Exciting updates to follow when I wake up!
  15. I guess it will be either a plate or a rod put in.
  16. I guess I live under a rock, it's been about 6 months since I went to the theatre for a movie. Of course I also have a young child at home, so that cramps my movie attendance a bit.
  17. My wife thinks she might have had an eating disorder. That can also cause serious health problems.
  18. I'm sitting in the hospital waiting to go into surgery. Last night during my hockey game, I hit the boards awkwardly and broke my tibia, the larger bone in my lower leg. Fortunately the puck went in the net, so it wasn't all bad news. 1 goal 1 assist 1 broken leg It would be nice if they let me eat or drink, I'm starving and dehydrated. I've got ten hours before the surgery and I haven't had anything since last night before the game.
  19. Laying it on a little thick with the black lipstick?
  20. Her husband was having cardiac problems like a month ago, I remember hearing. Pretty sad to go so young.
  21. To be honest, I knew absolutely squat about Avatar until about a week ago. I really don't see where all the hype folks are complaining about was coming from. Now that it's out, I'm hearing more, but that is in the way of reviews, mostly.
  22. Equilibrium - This might be one of my favorite movies ever. Fighting - Pretty meh. I like Tatum Channing or whatever his name is, but it wasn't a really engaging movie.
  23. I just finished the Bring Down the Sky DLC for Mass Effect. It was good, definitely worth the free download. I was looking at the other DLC, is there just one other chapter, The Pinnacle Station? I thought there was more. Ah well, I'm not convinced to buy that one yet.
  24. I thought you said pricks instead of picks.
  25. That is hilarious!
