I really need to see how the open beta goes to be sure, but I think TOR will be fine. The key is if it is ready. If they rush it, that's a death sentence.

I seem to remember that about 1 in 20 will experience headache (detrimental to the experience) with our current 3D tech, as in dual colour + glasses. If that's true I think companies can live with 5% not being able to use their product. Really? That seems like a pretty large percentage to alienate. I know I'm biased, but in order to become the standard, I would think they would want that closer to 1%. What I mean by standard is like DVD's, HDTV's, and flat screens. These technologies are now the norm. I can't see glasses , 3D TV's, and 3D DVD's becoming anything but a popular niche.

Malcador, this was what I was responding too originally. I don't really believe capitalists should have complete control of everything. My point is more that politicians aren't better than businessmen. Neither should have complete power, but I trust the intention of a businessman more than that of a politician. edit: Trust probably isn't even the right word. I consider them more transparent and prefer that. -

It is still in the capitalist's best interests to make sure society is moving forward. Take the roads for example, how many companies are tied to the building and maintaining of those roads? The auto industry is gigantic, do you really think they want the roads to disappear? My point is that a politician can only be trusted to do what is popular, ensuring that they will be re-elected. A capitalist will do what is best for the economy regardless of popularity. Obviously there needs to be a system of checks and balances in place. -
I personally can't use 3d glasses without getting a headache, and I know a few others that feel the same way. I just don't see it becoming standardized with that issue.

I'd say WoW still has at least another 5 years of relevancy left. Heck, there is still a community for Ultima Online, so it's not like big MMO's just disappear.

If we are choosing between giving power to capitalists or politicians, I think I'll go with the capitalists most of the time. -
But in WoW, the people suck. I really liked 'vanilla' WoW though, the later expansions just seemed to make things worse or less fun for me, for some reason. There are a few million people playing the game, so I'm sure there are a few people you might like. Of course you'd have to wade through a sea of losers to find them I have a couple groups of friends that play different MMO's and I usually stick with playing with them. Every once in awhile I'll meet someone new, but for the most part I avoid general chat and the like.

I remember after I finished my unpaid student teaching I was close to getting out of education completely. It really tests how much you want to work in a field when you have to do it for free for a ton of hours every week.

Netflix streaming is really only about the TV shows. We won our tourney and I got to take my picture with a very heavy trophy. Then I drove the RV home (about 5 hours) and now I'm inspecting my bruises and trying to rehydrate.

We won our third game of the tournament, and I had 4 goals, woohoo! Tomorrow morning is the championship game. We beat the team we are playing once, but I guess they picked up a new player and he looks pretty dang good. I'll probably be chasing him around tomorrow trying to shut him down.

Wait, there are repercussions to your actions? Shocking!

Conspiracy theories work great for movies and television, not so much for real life. Wait, sorry, I mean the GOVERNMENT killed OSAMA to cover up the fact that they blew up the twin towers from the INSIDE!

Yeserday was just a crazy long day, but very good. We had a game at 7 AM, which we won, then we went back to camp and made some chorizo and egg breakfast burritos. Then we hung out at the beach and drank a couple beers. Grabbed a quick nap, felt the normal burn you get pooping out chorizo, and won our second game at 5:30 PM. The whole team then headed over to a casino and I had a pretty awesome dinner, made better by the fact I was starving. We hit the tables for a couple hours and I made enough to cover my dinner, and then back to camp to collapse. Today should be a bit more relaxed, we only have one game. Unless we get blown out in this one we should make the championship game tomorrow morning with no problems.

I'm at a hockey tournament in South Lake Tahoe. We won a game this morning at 7 AM, went to the beach for a bit, and now we are getting ready for a 5:30 game. I like our chances, if we can stay sober enough we hopefully can get to the championship game.

Ive always wondered this about RV's, isnt whatever you save in lodging costs surpassed by your fuel and campground costs? That's is a good question. I get 10 mpg or so, which can be pricey. Alternatively I get 20 in my family SUV, so I fill up twice as often in the rv. So a weekend trip isn't a great deal of savings. But if I go somewhere for a week, I save much more. An average hotel is $100 while a campsite with hookups is $40. So a hotel for 5 nights will run $500 while a campsite is $200. Where I really save, though, is the food. I might eat out twice on a weeklong rv trip, but in a hotel you have no alternative. Same with lunch and breakfast. Add in the fact that my rv is my bed and all my comforts of home, and it is a great choice for travel.

I'm heading out to Tahoe for a hockey tournament this weekend. I'm bringing the RV and no family, so we have a lot of beer packed. Should be fun!

Didn't you hate that game a day ago? I bought it last night, I figured $5 was a good price. I made quite a few mistakes, but I finally figured out how to make a house.

MRSA sucks, my mother-in-law has it and they kicked her out of the delivery room when my son was born because of it, even though it wasn't active. Hope it goes well for your mom.

The Jelly Belly tour stinks, the Budweiser Tour down the street is way cooler.

Well, my school district is really starting to use Google for everything, so it's just easier to conform. Most of the kids use gmail, we use google docs and calendars for all our sign up stuff, even the district email is moving away from the old exchange server they were using.

I've been creating a new classroom website using Google Sites. There are a lot of tools available, there's a bit of a learning curve but I'm enjoying it. I was using a site called Wikispaces, but it was a bit limited and didn't have all the options I wanted.

So you are saying that your neighbor hates you now.

Or they didn't lie and were mistaken. In fact I don't know why they would lie here, they have to know that a simple test would prove them wrong.
