I think it also shows than any western developer that wants to spend the development money to make a run at WOW's dominance is taking a pretty big risk. It's only a big risk if you expect WoW numbers. There are plenty of successful Western MMO studios not named Blizzard. I don't think you need to break $100 million in revenue to be successful.

Nick and Llyr just created new alts, LoF and Freedom Fighter.

I don't think it is appropriate to say what I use my brownie points for.

There is a thread for this, but blaming Gearbox completely seems a bit silly. If there was a good game in there during those 15 years, it probably would have been released at some point.

To the Developers THANK u

Wow Purkake, he got you spot on -
This is probably already posted, but Game Informer gave a solid 8/10 and wrote up a pretty nice review. The word is it is a fantastic action-RPG.

You should invest in my company, Hurlshot Industries. We have cornered the market on something really special. I can't give it away, but it involves frozen water and combustible oxygen tanks.

Right Wing fearmongering is as tired as Left Wing environmental protection cries. Look, Bush was fairly terrible about foreign policy. Obama has been a huge improvement. Oddly enough I think McCain would have been just as good of an improvement, but that doesn't take away from what Obama has done abroad. He has repaired quite a few relationships.

Obama has had seriously low approval ratings for most of his term, so I really don't know how good his chances are. Of course I also thought John Kerry and his purple hearts were a shoe in to beat Bush early on in '04, so what do I know! I just haven't seen Obama do enough to warrant my vote. He needed to build bridges between the parties, and instead they seem even further apart than 4 years ago. His big health care plan looks like it will be tied up all over the place. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the policy, it is hard to imagine it will be successful with so much opposition. The military situation hasn't changed much. The civil rights movements have moved slowly. The job outlook is still very murky as well, and the economic recovery seems pretty natural, not necessarily driven by an administration.

Weed has created a Superhuman Krezack! :D I used to be productive, but then I had kids, and now I'm tired all the time and it is hard to remember stuff. So what I'm saying is kids fry your brain.

Geez, I eat out maybe once a month. There is no way it is cheaper than cooking at home. I spend about $10 to feed a family of 4 when we dine in, the only way I do that by eating out is going to a hotdog stand every night.

He got his big shot at the title, I doubt he will run again. He is also up there in the years. I had been pulling for him since he invited Comedy Central on his tour bus back in 2000. He seems to have lost some of the humor and humility he had back then, but I imagine it would be hard to not become bitter at the way things played out for him. I really hope Palin was not his choice. that she was foisted on him by party leadership.

So I just watched George Stephanopoulos interview Michelle Bachmann, and it was a softball interview, but she still came across terribly. I get that you need to criticize the opposite party leader, but you should have an actual plan for what you would do differently. She also didn't seem to really understand a few of the questions. It was a bit of a nightmare. So why can't the Republicans come up with some decent candidates? I mean someone that appeals to people outside of the republican party. John McCain was a step in the right direction, he has always been candid and smart, and willing to work with democrats to move the country forward. For some reason they decided to pair him with Sarah Palin, who couldn't even finish her term as governor of Alaska. For some reason her name keeps getting mentioned as a candidate, even though she is more of a reality TV star than a politician these days. Mitt Romney seems to be the frontrunner here, and he does seem to have some positive qualities. I'll have to watch him a bit more, the only concern I have is whether he will allow his Mormon background to interfere with his leadership. I'm very tolerant of beliefs, but after watching the Mormon church funnel millions into the Prop 8 campaign, spreading misinformation and outright lies along the way, I need to be convinced he can separate himself from that influence. I just don't understand why we can't get a decent candidate here. The country is fragmented right now, we've got major economic issues. I'm not a big fan of Barack Obama, he has not impressed me and he has failed to bring the country together. It is a polarized nation. So why do we keep getting polarizing figures running for president? Somebody needs to come along and get these folks to work together. Right now it is just ugly.

You could release a cure for cancer and the Codex would be more negative than positive about it.

I've met folks that I converse with on a very regular basis while playing MMO's, in fact sometimes I just log in and chat with folks for a bit without even playing. I don't know how that would be considered a waste of time, at least no more than spending your time on a forum. What some of you might be missing is that a solid percentage of MMO gamers don't necessarily seek out the best equipment in the game. In fact you have an entire player base that never reaches the end game content at all. People set personal goals all the time, and those can be very reasonable and attainable.

Does that mean it was the last straw for Lost Straw? I agree, too over the top for me as well.

Video games are developed by failed designers that could never bother learning how to use narrative in an intelligent manner, or even how to write a basic story. It's a number crunchers industry. And a complete waste of time.

My question really wasn't sarcastic. Are you saying that content is unavailable to people with less achievements? I'm asking a serious question here, I had a hard time understanding what you wrote. I just don't get why a trophy would be a deciding factor for buying a game, I would imagine being able to play through the game with a friend would trump any need to collect trophies.

Was there an extended downtime for the forum today? I thought I noticed one. Maybe it was the rabid Dungeon Siege fanbase.

Hitman without Jesper Kyd is Hitman in name only. I heard that the opposite is true as well, Jesper Kyd without Hitman is Jesper Kyd in name only. Thankfully that will suffice in most courts of law.
