What are you Playing Now? No really, tell us more...

I appreciate that Elex 2 lets you try and be a decent dad, even though you start as a deadbeat. Although considering Dax's background, he could be a lot worse. -
Two 1st-round picks seems to be a pretty good haul for a 33-year old QB. It is reasonable to assume he will start seeing diminishing returns as he ages.

Hah, I remember Two Worlds 2 was a pretty crazy open world game. It was ahead of its time in a number of ways.

Hah, I totally get it. 10-15 hours is just enough to be like, "The next one will be different and keep my attention the whole time!" -

Huh? I've enjoyed it tremendously. Although I have literally dodged a few bullets in the game, so that must be what you mean. -
5 hours is a miniscule window to evacuate a city, so "right away" is still very accurate. Anything less than 24 hours can be considered breaking the ceasefire "right away". When a historian writes about this a century from now, that is how it will look on paper.

I keep reading that the Russian State media is pushing the narrative that civilian deaths are the fault of the Ukrainian military and I don't understand how that argument works for anyone. If a stray missile hits an apartment building, it doesn't matter if it was Ukrainian or Russian. The missile would not be fired if Russia was not in Ukraine, so it is completely the fault of Russia. I mean, I get that it is propaganda, but it still boggle my mind that it works.

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VIII (May RNG Be With You)
Hurlshort replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
The only two games my wife has ever really played were WoW and TOR, so I'd think the learning curve will not be an issue. Co-op was a lot of fun early on as you quest together, considering you roll to see who gets to have their say. If only that worked in real life. -

The nagging is realistic and justified. Don't be a deadbeat dad. -

I was a bit concerned that the Elden Ring open world would not engage me. Breath of the Wild was also a bit too barren for my tastes. I like to have some cities and people in my worlds. I almost gave up on Conan Exiles early because of this too. In Conan, almost everyone is trying to kill you, so even though there are communities all over the map, they aren't welcoming. But then I got my head around the fact that a sharp rap over the head and a bit of time on the wheel of pain can make anyone a friendly npc. -

For sure. The Billy Idol impersonator is equal parts bad and perfect. -

Elex 2 is off to a good start. It plays like the original and the graphics received a nice boost. Still only about an hour in, but it seems right in line with the original. -
The potential for nuclear escalation does create a different level of tension over the current Ukraine war and other recent conflicts. It has a very Cold War feel to it.

Harder take: Elex 2 is better than Elden Ring. -
I've been saying for years that there needs to be an age limit on politicians and world leaders. There is this weird idea that people just keep getting wiser as they age. My mother-in-law is 70 and can barely operate the television. She doesn't need access to the red button at her age. People retire in their 60's for good reason.

Wot I bought last - a fool and their money mystary edition
Hurlshort replied to ShadySands's topic in Computer and Console
After hemming and hawing over purchasing Elden Ring, I decided to switch it up and pick up Elex 2 instead. At least I know it will perform well on my PC. -
The Vegas area is big enough to tell a completely separate story in the same general setting, I'd think. Heck, the DLC's were all very much separate entities.

I don't think that clip means what he thinks it means.
