That didn't last long, my son just broke Mario Kart pulling it out of the case.

I bought the Wii U, mostly for Mario Kart. I also bought a couple wiimotes, but they were terrible and I returned them. All the Pro controllers were sold out, but at Walmart I found a decent knockoff so the kids could play two player mario kart. I also picked up Lego Grand Theft Auto, and my son is enjoying jacking cars and crashing into things.

I just got back from Vegas, it was a fantastic trip. My wife of 12 years continues to amaze me. I lost a bit of money at the tables, so the last night my wife and I played this Lord of the Rings penny slot machine. It was entertaining, at one point I was down to my last few bucks and I hit this long string of bonus spins that played a bunch of movies. It ended up paying me about $30, which really just evened out what I had already lost, but the entertainment factor was great.

Giants are starting to get healthy again, so hopefully they can get a strong push for the playoffs. Angel Pagan makes such a huge difference for this team. It's also looking like they found a decent 2nd baseman in Joe Panik. But I thought that bout Brandon HIcks for a couple of months, so I'm not going to put any money on it.

I spent $275 on dinner at a french restaurant, it was worth it.

Heh, my wife got that escort look from some family in the elevator last night. Here is a tip, dont bring your kids to Vegas! We also saw some couple having sex in the pool yesterday, so again, leave your kids at home. At least it was a 21 and over pool.

Why the heck did they implement some boring slot machine game in the casinos, and not something decently entertaining like pazaak? I am so perplexed by the design decisions on this game.

To TN and Gorgon: I saw Guardians of the Galaxy and it was the best Marvel movie ever. Bradley Cooper doesn't sound anything like himself though. My favorite line:

I love Tahoe. TN, it's the largest Alpine lake in North America! Just make sure you swim in it, now is the perfect time to do so because it will not be freezing. Also I've never understood the appeal of boating on the lake, it's best experienced without an engine. The casinos are pretty lame, although you can get some good bang for your buck at the restaurants. There is really a ton to do there. Which area are you staying at? I've spent most of my time at Incline Village, which is really nice. Last year I stayed at Meeks Bay and it was perfect, not too crowded and beautiful.

I named them after my kids, which has been pretty funny.

If you think of it more as Charlize Theron replacing Mel Gibson, instead of Tom Hardy, I think it holds up better. She looks badass.

Heh, it was initially developed for tablets only, so that gives you an idea of how promising it is.

I guess just based on the law of averages, eventually one of these video game movies will turn out decently.

I didn't back DOS, so nah right back at you. They are fairly different games. It is pretty clear that Larian Studios is more experienced, and their game is incredibly deep. Shadowrun shines in the way they captured the setting, the story, and the characters. The gameplay is fairly shallow, and you can tell that it is a fairly inexperienced team making the game. They made a lot of improvements for Dragonfall, showing growth.

Origin isn't up to the task because EA is EA is not much of an argument. Honestly I dont really think Origin is better, I just think refusing one over the other is ridiculous. They are peas of the same pod.

Oh, that's just because you aren't a part of this community. Most that do post here have been talking for years and use these types of threads instead of Twitter or other social media. For example, I had no interest in the new Spider-Man films, but after a few people here whose interests I commonly share posted what a enjoyable movie series it is turning into, I got on board. Now you don't tend to see a lot of exposition and discussion about newer movies because no one wants to spoil them and many don't get to watch until after they are out of theaters, so this thread doesn't have the same depth as many others. When a really good movie comes out, this thread livens up a bit. But honestly Bester you are better off sticking to your anti-kickstarter caricature. You've scored some real gems about the follies of crowd funding and your voice is a good counterweight to all the folks that look at them through rose-tinted glasses. It doesn't really fit in with the close community threads you find in the WoT section, and I imagine most people will simply ignore them from here on out.

Sweet, I've been meaning to run through Dragonfall again somewhere down the line. I need to decide if I'll run through once beforehand or just wait. Run through it now, it's amazing, not overly long, and you will have no trouble playing it a second time close together. This news makes me happy. This is still the best kickstarter project I've backed at this point.

Jim Harbaugh is in pretty good shape, he still goes out and throws balls to receivers, so he'd probably handle it.
