    I am really of the opinion that terrorism is a tactic of an organized group, while a hate crime is individuals lashing out. But these are just semantics, and shouldn't undercut the tragedy of any unprovoked attack on innocent people.

    Really, it doesn't take a whole lot of historical context to see that the world (or at least the US) has changed predominately for the better. We are only 50 years removed from a decade where schools were segregated, a president was assassinated and his presidential hopeful brother shortly after, two major civil rights leaders were gunned down, we were on the brink of nuclear war, we were losing soldiers in Vietnam...etc. Our big complaints today seem to be about gay people, Obamacare, and phone records.

    DNA testing isn't quite as easy as they make it seem in CSI. It's also pricey, most departments can't afford to run DNA unless it is a high profile crime and the labs tend to be backed up for months. Today I'm setting up for a garage sale. Yesterday I put the signs up, which was a bit of a kerfuffle. I had to return to the house twice for better sign hanging supplies. I started out with duct tape, but realized that was going to be a bad idea. I returned with zip ties and a staple gun, but my staple gun is cheap and wouldn't penetrate both the poster board and post well enough. So I ended up using a hammer and nails. They better stay up.

    Are you talking about quality or success? The two are not the same. I believe that PoE has been more profitable than South Park for Obsidian. But without clear numbers, it is definitely just conjecture.

    I'm just not sure where the jump from a white woman identifying as a black person (who seems to have spent formative years in Africa, was surrounded by black siblings, and married a black man) got us to pedophilia.

    You won't find me giving any sympathy to the parents here. What exactly is their motive in all this?

    It was in development for too long and likely had a more bloated budget than many other Obsidian titles, so that means the profit margin was cut into. Games that likely were more profitable: FO:NV KotOR 2 NWN2 PoE Dungeon Siege 3 also probably pulled in a better profit, given the small team and short development time.

    There is no doubt that she is a first class passenger on the loony train. I'm just pretty sure her parents bought the tickets.

    MMO content is supposed to be dynamic and ever changing. Otherwise the game is just going to be stale. You need a way to progress the core player base, but also allow new players to enter the game and not be stuck years behind. Personally I enjoy the journey of a slowly developing character. In Lord of the Rings Online, my captain spent years following in the footsteps of the fellowship. But I also went back to WoW after a long break and enjoyed the streamlined run through all of their zones. TOR hasn't really been out long enough to know what it will look like in the long run.

    Not surprisingly, I get that impression every time I discuss stuff with some of the gamergaters. I've been called an SJW a number of times despite doing zero social justice warrioring. Plus they go after Bruce like a pack of rabid dogs every time he posts his weird stuff.

    I'm hoping that they streamline the leveling process, a la WoW, someday so you can move through without all the grind. There have been some very good story moments.

    Nah, my Jedi Knight of the Old Republic just killed the Emperor a couple weeks ago. Now he's cleaning up the mess that a Hutt Cartel made. After that he'll probably go after some guy named Revan.

    I look at that and just get pissed off we didn't get KOTOR 3... That's weird, I've been playing KotOR 3 off and on for the last few years.
