  1. Sub-classes and multi-classes tell me nothing will be the same again. Maybe a pure unsubclassed Fighter isn't as exciting as possible. But there are always going to be those classes that are more active because they stand it the back casting utility stuff.
  2. "Why can't I make a fortune without exploiting the worker class?" "Sometimes I want to be a good person, but it means giving up fiscal gains."
  3. Wouldn't that be a trap?
  4. Your fate is sealed. Enjoyed losing your ship to her wrath.
  5. I am interested to see how Ondra is expanded upon, given the setting and the confirmation that the gods will be playing a much larger role.
  6. I added DLC to my PoE1 backing. Obsidian delivered. I'll take the risk, thank you very much.
  7. Counting your elves before they hatch? But I did think we needed a pale elf companion if your counting what we got in PoE1. Really I am surprised we didn't get a mountain dwarf or female orlan. But I care more about a story that is natural to the demographics of our locals. So having a lot of Aumaua is no big deal for me. Representation comes later on my list of priorities. I'd volunteer to nix a human, being one myself. But Eder needs a lady friend, so Xoti is of utmost necessity.
  8. Mercenaries will still be there. Have no fear. You just have "Baldur's Gate" style companions as well as deeply written PoE2 style companions.
  9. I think it's really cool. I'm excited what sort of ocean encounters they can dream up. Certainly a lot of them will be text adventures, but it seems like a handful will be combat encounters. Uncharted Islands will also make it an incredible experience.
  10. Yes but eventually this trend started to give way. PoE is probably a little bit different. I wouldn't expect nearly as much as we got in the first 2 days. I'd put us maybe right around 4.1-4.2 million on the optimistic side. The final 800k will probably have to come after the campaign. But this is all just guess work. There will always be people willing to chip in another $30-60 a month later when their next paycheck comes. Tax return season anyone?
  11. Josh said they are making a lot of changes to Druids. I'd be surprised if they squandered the class. I think our Godlike will fill that aquatic naturalist role nicely. I too feel it.
  12. That's true, but if his starting class would be locked to chanter, there would be no companion single class druid option. Yeah. If they make him Chanter/Druid, then you have to pick one of those two, then can do anything for the second. Which would be a nice way to go.
  13. I don't think we know yet. For Poe1 Obs chose to split the DLC into to installments. But you only backed for the DLC essentially. When you backed the DLC you got both parts. I think how Obs decides to handle dlc will come much later. I'd imagine the DLC addon counts for content about the size of TWM1&2. But Obsidian could decide to split up the Deadfire DLC differently. Or do two larger expansions, of which you only have reserved the first one.
  14. Well you'll be able to multi-class him as druid regardless. Just as you can make Eder a Rogue+Anything else.
  15. While I don't want to make assumptions, I find it hard to think they won't do this. It begs a question though. If all the companions that aren't in your party are on the boat, and you encounter a raid on the seas. Does that mean every companion is present for that encounter? Seems plausible. Maybe you don't control the one's that aren't in your party or something?
  16. Hopefully people going back to add the early-bird dlc will help too. I've spend most of the campaign wondering where the dlc was.
  17. Now that ships are in the game. They just have to pull a star citizen.
  18. I hope a lot of people have been holding off. Like me. I need that 8th companion. Plus everything in-between.
  19. Just because I have a ring of fire resist, doesn't mean you can get away with directing your flamethrower at me. You didn't even know about the ring.
  20. Not sure If I'm personally upset. But I did quite enjoy the Health/Endurance system. It kind of reminded me of Chrono Trigger, how you fight each encounter fresh. The added aspect of accruing penalties is nice. The new injury system seems not that big of a departure from what PoE1 has, just tooled a bit differently. I'm not sure what I want or don't want to be honest. But it's nice having encounters feel like distinct things the overcome, where you won't work yourself into an untenable situation because your too low on health. But then again that is what camping supplies are for. So most people's complaints either way never made much sense to me. The only compaint I had was that the game encourages the saving of per rest spells which makes most encounters the same rotations of per encounter spells. The empowerment solutions solves that.
