  5. Right and the 2 sacks against the boys in the playoffs really changed the game and turned it around. Both in the 4th quarter and they put them deep in the hole. Not to mention what they did to the patsies offensive line, believed by many to be the leagues best.
  6. No Game 1 - One sack Game 2 - One sack Game 3 (Playoff) - 2 sacks Grand total 3 games 4 sacks
  7. They did not give up a sack, but the Giants did put a lot of pressure on Brett. Edit: If you go by sacks, New England is the only team that gave up more than 2 sacks to NY. Tampa 1, Dallas 2, GB 0, NE 5. But admittedly sacks are not everything. EDIT2: I would like to see more stats in Football, particularly on defense. Hurries, hits on the QB, hell even interceptions due to defensive line or coverage.
  8. He's right though, statistically (Yes I viewed the NFC championship game) But again they will not have a 17 year veteran quarterback that will help a offensive line. Avoiding sacks, throwing the ball away.... Green Bay In Brett Favre's last season, the Packers had the 2nd best offense in the NFL. They were 2nd in total yards and passing yards, they ranked 13th in yards per carry, and only gave up 19 sacks (tied for 3rd in the NFL). They have a good mix of veteran and young lineman, which will be a big help with new starter Aaron Rogers. http://www.fftoolbox.com/football/2008/nfl...ne-rankings.cfm
  9. The Cincinnati Reds sign P Joe Valentine to a minor league contract The Los Angeles Dodgers sign P Eric DuBose to a minor league contract The Philadelphia Phillies acquire P Scott Eyre from the Chicago Cubs for P Brian Schlitter The San Francisco Giants sign P Roberto Novoa to a minor league contract The Tampa Bay Rays acquire P Chad Bradford from the Baltimore Orioles for a player to be named later Red Sox submit waiver claim for Giles "Boston now has an exclusive 48-hour window to work out a deal for Giles, whose contract includes the Red Sox as one of eight teams to which he can veto a trade. If the two clubs do not reach an agreement, Giles will stay with San Diego." http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/news/articl...jsp&c_id=sd
  10. None of the teams in the Packers division are starting rookies and Rodgers is a rookie for all intents and purposes, starting quarterbacks are one of the most fragile players on the field. Favre was a enigma, most quarterbacks don't last a season without getting hurt much less 17 years. ZERO quarterbacks on GB roster has an NFL start, that is a recipe for disaster. As for Defense, the statistics are not too different. GB was 11th in total yards allowed while the Jets were 18th. The Jets also had the tougher schedule and just changed to a 3-4 defense. You know the league is balanced and there are plenty of teams who sucked in one year and turn it around the next. The NFL thrives on this and I would say encourages it as well. The Bears have their toughest opponents at home (except for the Colts and of course division rivals) Their road schedule is a joke. EAGLES TITANS JAGUARS SAINTS The Vikings are a little more balanced Home Indianapolis Colts N Y Giants Away @ Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints @ Tennessee Titans Sorry but I don't count the lions
  11. It's tough to judge, but GB's schedule is brutal as it should be for a division champion and their division is much more balanced (competitive) I could easily see them going 8-8 or worse with a rookie QB, no way they win the division. Jets have it much easier. I bet you they have a shot at the wild card. The importance of a quarterback, a hall of fame quarterback mind you, should never ever be underestimated. The Jets will go 9-7 (at least) and have a shot at the playoffs. Packers Tough road games against @ Seattle Seahawks @ Tennessee Titans @ Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints @ Jacksonville Jaguars @ Chicago Bears Their home schedule is tough as well Dallas Cowboys Indianapolis Colts Chicago Bears Minnesota Vikings Jets Road games @ San Diego @ New England @ Tennessee @ Seattle Home New England ????
  12. The drama is finally over and Brett goes to the AFC's New York Jets. They get Favre from the Packers for conditional draft pick. "After 16 seasons, several NFL passing records and a Super Bowl title, the Brett Favre era in Green Bay -- and the drawn-out saga that came along with an offseason of contentious talks after his unretirement -- finally came to an end early Thursday morning. The Packers traded the future Hall of Fame quarterback to the New York Jets for a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2009, NFL Networks Adam Schefter reports." LINK
  13. The mounts only got added post-Wyvern Crown of Cormyr though, right? ? Your asking the wrong person. This is the first time I have tried to play the OC in about 2 years or more and the furthest I ever got. I'll take your word for it.
  14. Jets and Bucs are interested in Farve Link Titans and Rams can't wait for the season to start Video and story
  15. Joba to DL "ARLINGTON -- Though their worst fears have not been realized, the Yankees must proceed under imperfect conditions. The team officially placed Joba Chamberlain on the disabled list Wednesday with right rotator cuff tendinitis, assuring that he will miss a significant chunk of the season." LINK Arizona Diamondbacks sign P Dan Haren to a 4yr contract extension Cleveland Indians sign IF Andy Cannizaro to a minor league contract Colorado Rockies aquire Livan Hernandez on waiver claims from Minnesota Twins Boston Red Sox acquire IF Josh Wilson from the Pirates for a player to be named later St.Louis Cardinals sign IF Felipe Lopez for the remainder of the season Oakland A's sign P Chris Michalak to a minor league contract Toronto Blue Jays sign P Marty McLeary to a minor league contract
  16. NWN - In Chapter 2. Just received my Paladin mount. My score for this game just went higher.
  17. Hmm. Now I'll have to try a play through without spellcasters, just to see how the enemy AI responds. Maybe it will be more balanced ?? I disagree with you (imagine that), there are quite a few memorable and challenging battles in that one game then all the NWN, NWN2, IWD2, KoToR games put together.
  18. Pretty much the same as it was in April Baldur's Gate 2 - Most fun I ever had playing a D&D computer game, most fun I never had playing any game! Planescape Torment - Took forever to finally play it, awesome. Fallout - Perfection. Icewind Dale - Old school D&D that took me back to when I first started playing the pnp version. NFL 2K5 - The best football game ever made. Period. End of story. Madden 2007 PC - Surpasses all console versions. Franchise mode is deep, coach mode is fun, as is Superstar mode. MVP 2005 - Still the best baseball game on the market 4 years later. The fan community has kept it alive and well. NWN 2 - Mask Of The Betrayer. Best game the last few years Baldur's Gate - Got me hooked on CRPG Super Mario 3 - Didn't turn off the Nintendo until I finished it. Must have been 4-5 days I left it on.
  19. If the game is enjoyable, stable who cares. I at least don't care.
  20. Having played the original Pong when it was released I have ZERO problems with dated graphics again
  21. For me that seems like an pretty awesome and solid list. X2 is a space sim, right? How does it compare to Tie Fighter and Freespace 2? Only finished one game on that list (Fallout) and played one other that I never finished (Thief)

  23. "playable" isn't what i desire in a game, and yes, i have played with the CO8 patch installed. it's still a steaming pile, i.e., broken, regardless of how good the combat is from a tactical perspective (there are lots of broken issues with that as well, IMO). it was always understood that old-skool D&D modules were sparse on purpose, and these guys implemented the game "true to the original module" as if they never knew that. in other words, they had no clue what D&D was about. duh. taks I played the original pnp when it came out and it brought back a lot of memories, other than that the game is really bad (never said it was anything but) I did finish it which tells me there is some things it does well (combat, NPC's somewhat, music, it is challenging) and it does have it's moments and the Co8 patch really helped me at least complete it.
  24. Favre reinstated by NFL, added to Packers 80-man roster Associated Press http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true
  25. Yep, it come to the point that it seems nothing but fluff to stretch games length, rather than anything memorable or challenging
