  1. He he you are something else. More later. Yes Bio/Obs is smarter than poor kelverin (say it right, say it with pleasure). But there writing and design does not show it. Hell hire Gnomir he seems to know it all...?
  2. You'll be the National League representative. If you can beat the American League team is another question entirely.
  3. sure, 'cause english lit grads know how to write... likes history grads knows how to change history. is only a handful o' noteworthy english bfa and mfa programs we can think of, and the % of gradates from those programs that actually end up publishing anything meaningful is pretty small. an english lit degree is a meaningless footnote on a writer's resume. and bio knows full well that contests is a Huge mistake. bio has hired numerous folks based on submissions o' work based on nwn toolset. is some folks who has shown good level design and programming skills 'nuff that they has been offered jobs. seen any nwn modules include multiple tangential and optional romances? no? romance must be: optional tangential virtually entirely dialogue (3 lines max per response) no more than 6-8 dialogue encounters. ... am not sure kel understands just how complex a task it is to write such a romance. to make such a romance that not feels rushed, juvenile, or trite? good luck. bio will continue to include romances, 'cause they is popular. nevertheless, the current implementation makes marked improvements beyond what we has already seen... problematic. HA! Good Fun! English Literature interns was just an example, closet authors, would be novelists....whoever is hungry and cheap Getting a writing credit might be one hell of a starting point for one's career, and a selling point for any gaming company trying to land a "up and coming" new writer/novelist, Lets be honest a Jane Austen type comes around every how many years? But you have played computer games for a long time and the writing, much less romantic writing has been ...... at best and humorous and pathetic at worst. "romance optional" agree 100% "tangential" What the **** does that mean? (of, relating to, or of the nature of a tangent) "virtually entirely dialog (3 lines max per response)" Disagree, give your fellow gamers a little more credit. "no more than 6-8 dialog encounters." I'll go a step further and say it should be more, don't know how many relationships you have been in, but it take a hell of a lot more work that that. I will add you have to make sure, somehow it's done in an appropriate time. and place. With linear games that should not be hard to accomplish, and no excuse if it is not done correctly. I understand what goes into designing games, dialogs, as much as anyone that has never worked in the industry. Long hours, sacrifice and no rewards, other than a FAT paycheck. Check out the highest NWN2 mod - A romance mod by a female, amateur writer. The audience is there for game developers smart enough to take advantage. Hell anyone that plays computer games, execpt fo MMMOS is playing by there selves and we all want/need lovin you would be stupid not to incorporate it in your games

  5. The 49ers put an end to their three-way quarterback competition on Friday, naming J.T. O'Sullivan the starter. Chargers Merriman says he has torn knee ligament Texans wide receiver Harry Williams injured his neck in the first quarter of Friday
  6. Romance in computer games is a good thing and should be encouraged. Hell why not double your customers/$$$$. Just make sure it's done well. EDIT: Shouldn't be hard. Have a contest, or "hire" a few English Literature interns. The best candidate wins. The most difficult part would be choosing between all the submissions.
  7. There's more "forgettable gameplay" released on Gametrailers yesterday (too lazy to provide a link)
  8. Maybe I am in the minority, I would just prefer to get less (useless?) dropped items.
  9. Thanks. I have fond memories of the PnP version, looking to give it a shot.
  10. MLB, umpires approve instant replay "Major League Baseball has signed an agreement with the World Umpires Association, approving the implementation of instant replay for disputed home run calls sometime before the end of the season, one of MLB's top officials told MLB.com on Wednesday. "We're not there yet," said Rich Levin, MLB's senior vice president of public relations, "but this is another significant step." All 30 Major League ballparks are being wired with monitors so umpires on location can view replays of questionable home run calls -- fair or foul, in the park or out. Many of the installations are done, but there are still some in the process of being completed. For example, a crew was at Angel Stadium in Anaheim on Wednesday, installing the necessary equipment." 11. Anyone try this BG1 mod yet? If so any opinions on it? Secret of Bone Hill v235
  12. It's from Missy's Lair from long ago, year 5 I believe. 8 teams. Accurate is the key word. LT is listed as injured every preseason game (he has to be), but in reality he is fine.
  13. I'm convinced it comes down to luck and injuries. Although doing your homework is essential.
  14. I should have kept my mouth shut, now you will pick him in our fantasy league, right in front of me most likely.
  15. He was cut and released. Well Chad Johnson is there as well....

  18. Difficult to argue with the success of the game, more difficult to judge what the art direction has to do with it.

    Comics

Comic book CD Roms Opinions vary on these but it might be a way to go to get popular Marvel runs FF, Spider-Man...... Personally I would rather have the books on hand, of course it would be rather expensive to get entire runs. I gave a link, but you can check elsewhere like ebay http://www.digitalcomics.biz/group.asp?grp=14
  20. BG 1 had some excellent tracks and I considerate it better than BG2. The combat music and the chapter/dream sequences cuts are just AWESOME! IWD and PS:T battle for first place and are in every way superior to any NWN, NWN2 music. Mask of the Betrayer had some good tracks though....
  21. Little Children (2006) - Decent flick, won't appeal to everyone especially if you consider the subject matter. The voice over might be clever, but to me it just gets annoying and pulls you away from the story instead of drawing you in. Jackie Earle Haley as a registered sex offender is brilliant in his portrayal, and long way away from Kelly Leak in the Bad News Bears. WOW 7.5/10
  22. P Greg Maddux returning to LA? LINK
