James Bond didn't take the murder of his wife too well. And most Bond fans list that as one of their least favorite films in the series, if not the worst. It's actually the casual Bond fans that cry about that film, most true fans like it because it most resembles the novel it was based upon, no gadgets, that and Connery leaves some huge shoes to fill, not sure if any one could have followed him at that time. George makes the mistake of quiting the role before the movie is even released, depressing ending, when it was released on TV at the time it was butchered, scenes deleted, not shown in proper order and shown on 2 night's with a anonymous actor giving voice overs WTF....it was still a financial success and it seems to be viewed more positively as the years go by.... It's the 6th highest rated Bond film on IMBD if that means anything to you.

It's only ever brought up on screen occasionally (TSWLM, FYEO, TLD) but when it is, it's very powerful. In the novels it wipes him out and the majority of the next novel You Only Live Twice he's a downright mess. You Only Live Twice happens AFTER his wive's death? I didn't know that YOLW might be my favourite Connery bond And, uhh, what are those acronyms? The movies and novels do not go in order, Dr. No for example was the first movie and 6th book. The Spy Who Loved Me For Your Eyes Only The Living Daylights (But I made a mistake it's actually LTK License to Kill that it's mentioned)

I see your point, but I also find Connery just as funny (he also had better written scripts) and easily as sophisticated as Moore, but he could also kick your ass something Moore never was able to get across on the screen, hell I would wouldn't mess with Connery now and he must be 78 years old.

Seriously? Moore is 3 years older, and has never been the physical presence Connery has. Can you picture Moore in the PTS fight scene? The fight at the Heath Club? Any fight scene? Now if want to argue that Octopussy released the same year is a better film, then you might have an argument otherwise Connery>Moore

D.O.A. (1950) - "I want to report a murder" Good film, interesting plot device, it is a little dated. I thought it was well done and worth the time it took to watch it. I would stay away from the remake. 7.5/10 X-Men (2000) - Not bad at all, most of the characters are very different from the books I read X-Men 94-200. The cast did a good job, the story was interesting enough, did not like the costumes and would actually prefer the yellow/black spandex, or at least a reasonable resemblance to the costumes in the comics. At least Magneto is still a villain. 7/10

I used to bitch about the camera, but found a new mod that raises it above my characters head and still keeps the ceilings and first person view the way I like it. YEA ME

3:10 to Yuma (2007) - Solid flick. Crowe and Bale turned in their usual excellent performances. Ben Foster as Charlie Prince really caught my eye, the last place I saw this guy was as the weak willed, sexually confused Russell Corwin in Six Feet Under. What a transformation! 7/10
