  1. I already reviewed it once, can't seem to find it now, but to say it's the greatest film ever made is to dismiss 100+ years of film making, (Unless of course you have seen every film) But hey if you think it'd the greatest film ever made, who am I to say your wrong.
  2. Tonight it starts again, the 89th season of the NFL. 9/4 7:00 ET At NY Giants -4.5 Washington I'll take the Giants for the win, minus the points. 3. I'll wait until it's out of beta.
  4. not saying that spore is a bad game, but does anyone actually trust sites like IGN for objective reviews? ain't they all just essentially hacks paid to write promo copy for the big game companies? Apparently Moatilliatta does????
  5. It's at #3. #303 is more like it, even thats generous
  6. They have exclusive rights with the NFL, NCAA Football, FIFA, PGA Golf Tour and NASCAR Also they can't make a MLB baseball games. Which is a real shame since 4 years later it's still the best baseball game ever made. NBA and NHL is a free for all. Don't ya just love capitalism? ( I know I do) EDIT: EA is (was) trying to buy Take 2 which produces? 2K sports games. Also they did buy exclusive rights to NCAA Baseball made 2 games but have not made another, I do not know if they still have the license???
  7. Well if you want an up to date realistic NFL football game, you have no choice.
  8. Madden 09 - First game against the Panthers, I won 52-10 with 15 sacks, better raise the difficulty.
  9. If you say so, again we will just have to disagree. Going through my first play through of KotOR2, almost finished with Chapter 3 - Nar Shaddaa, some of the best writing in any game I have ever played. Combat - Goto
  10. Better writing? Seriously? NPC's? NPC's interaction...ie.. conversations? Both KotOR's?
  11. Currently running through the OC (chapter 2) and adding on would be a big mistake. Streamlining/editing/removing content is more like it.
  12. Credit where credit is due. I am the first one to bitch and complain about the combat system in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series, but I have to congratulate Obsidian for dramatically improving the options/challenges in the sequel
  13. "Dragon Age: Origins represents BioWare
  14. Never got into HoF myself. Are you playing the vanilla version?
  15. What do I demand in an RPG? FUN!!! An engaging, well written story, that captures MY imagination and immerses MY character in a world that has a rich history, which is revealed slowly to the player character in different ways, not all at once as the game progresses. A colorful world setting, that feels and is unique. Also choice's are a good thing and should be of utmost importance in RPG storytelling. Custom character creation, I like many options. I do not want my character to be the same as everyone else who plays the same game, make me feel as if it's MY journey. NPC's that come alive and have their own motivations, and lets keep character interactions RTRP (Right Time Right Place). Romance? Don't really care as long as its done well and RTRP. Dialog with NPC's check KoToR2 conversations between PC and Kreia, Atris for examples excellent work!!! Forced companions, plot specific companions are a no-no. Rewarding, memorable, challenging, non-repetitive combat, with many different ways to solve conflicts. Including avoiding conflict entirely. (If its D&D, how about making up some new monster, spells that the player is unfamiliar with, cant believe this has not been done yet) Risk reward should be equal, wouldnt mind higher risk and little to no reward either. Excellent voice acting and music that sets the mood is a must. FUN!!!
  16. That had nothing to do with it really, the story is what set's those two games apart. Plus the music, voice acting, production, design, art direction........ and gameplay and stability. Why I brought IWD1 up is because I knew that apologists would rise up to defend Troika with arguments like "they weren't given enough time!", "Atari ****ed them over!" and similar. TOEE wins in combat. Did IWD have any issues similar to troika? No they did not, so again what is the relevance?
  17. It's a slow day and I'm bored? You questioning somebody arguing, now that's rich Nobody's said anything different That had nothing to do with it really, the story is what set's those two games apart. Plus the music, voice acting, production, design, art direction........
  18. What was the reason for the comparison? None as far as I can tell. No I would would pick bio everyday of the week and twice on sunday.
  19. I agree, I thought the show hit it's peak in Season two, but it's still ****ing funny sometimes. Just watched Drama **** a furry
  20. I thought it was like most every other HBO show in the fact that it's production values are first rate, acting excellent with interesting and well developed characters, and no commercials! I only watched the first 2 episodes, then talked to a friend who went on to mention, that it gets much more political as the story progresses and I immediately lost interest, I might pick it up again soon. Really looking forward to the season premiere of the new series True Blood which premieres Sunday, September 7 at 9 pm on HBO. BIG fan of Alan Ball and his work on both Six Feet Under and American Beauty. Not a fan of Vampires in general, so this should be interesting. Also Season Five of Entourage Premieres Sunday, September 7 at 10 pm. Love, LOVE this show currently catching up on season 4 On Demand. Ari Gold > you
  21. What the hell do I know? I am a businessman not a game developer. I would rather they concentrate on a fun, bug free games I agree, although it might be nice to have other companies work on D&D games, have a choice plus I simply can't get enough of those. Competition is a good thing!
  22. Never said either IWD was inferior to TOEE. As a matter of fact IWD is my 3rd favorite game. Combat was better in TOEE though and I dislike the "forced" combat in IWD2. I beleve TOEE was in development when the rule changes went from 3rd edition to 3.5. You don't have to, but you might when comparing a game on a brand new engine to one that has had 7? games. Dont know if you caught this battle, but probably my favoite combat encounter of any game I have played
  23. At least you answered the question. How far did you get? Why exactly are we comparing IWD to TOEE? Now if you where to compare it to IWD2 I would understand, both game had a rule change forced on them mid development (and suffered for it IMO) if I am not mistaken, but TOEE used a brand new engine, so I would cut it some slack.
