  1. As the show progressed, he became much more involved and influential, and the series suffered for it. *If I judged my entertainment by the actors/key figures political beliefs I would never watch another movie or TV show.
  2. A great character in my second favorite show, but I can't seem to separate the actors politics from his performance.
  3. Not in order Ari Gold - Entourage Archie Bunker - All in the Family Tony Soprano - Sopranos Barney Fief - The Andy Griffith Show Jim Rockford - The Rockford Files Burt Campbell - Soap George Costanza - Seinfield Carla Tortelli - Cheers Redd Foxx - Sanford and Son Oscar Madison - The Odd Couple Honorable mention Nathaniel Fisher - Six Feet Under He should have made the list but as viewers of the show might understand he might not qualify.
  4. I don't know, I guess I was spoiled by Claire Fishers story arc at art school as presented in the HBO show Six Feet Under.
  5. That is a lot of different consequences, more than any other D&D game I can think of, not only what you mentioned, but if you joined a temple the other temples quests were not available to you any longer. Again you are pointing out only TOEE, but the D&D games in general are lacking with choices and repercussions.
  6. Art School Confidential (2006) - What a terrible movie. How they got the likes of Steve Buscemi, Anjelica Huston, and John Malkovich is beyond me. Don't waste you time. 4/10 3:10 to Yuma (1957) - I prefer the 2007 remake, most likely because I have seen it first.
  7. I thought it was weak myself, some humorous moments but otherwise 5/10
  8. Well they do move slower and what game has ever used the size of PC's to make the player "feel different" Add to the fact that in 3rd edition any race can be anything, well they all seem the same to me. Prayer, haste, fireball, pick up Otis from Nulb with him and Elmo in your party you should have zero difficulty. Great game recently went through a stretch where I played it 3 times in a row. CO8 did a fantastic job!
  9. So did I. I'll watch it anytime I see it on TV.
  10. Funny it really took me back to when I played the pnp game back in the 80's only then DM then knew how to tell a story.
  11. Knocked Up The mushroom scene is classic. someone has done their research Madagascar 2 - The first movie I took my 6 year old son to, he lasted about 45 minutes before he started to get antsy. I do believe my sister and I enjoyed it more than he did. Clone Wars - Not bad, not bad at all typical Star Wars Kung Fu Panda - Decent. Been watching Arrested Development for free here Funny stuff!
  12. +1 It sits #9 on my Bond list.
  13. ^Damn! you beat me to it. This is his first mission (CR) the rest will come later. From the history of Bond I am sure the producers will f-it-up somehow, but now they are a roll. By cringe worthy, I was referring to - Double taking pigeons, red neck sheriffs, Tarzan yells........ LTK is a great flick, surely better than any other the Moore's or Brosnan's and is held in high regard with traditionalist such as myself. Many believe Dalton is the best Bond, I still prefer Connery
  14. Quantum of Solace - Loved it! Great Bond film and a worthy successor to CR. I look at it as the middle of a trilogy. For once there was not a cringe worthy moment, the humor was there, but neither juvenile nor over the top. No gadgets. Bond uses his wits and physical prowess to deal with any obstacles in his way just like the books. In the novels for those that did not read them Bond is anything but an indestructible superhero, the villains and the settings are what is fantastic, but Bond is all too human and this film did a good job of showing that aspect. I kind of had issues with the way he is handled in regards to M and following orders, in the books he is always portrayed as a loyal civil servant that follows orders and holds his boss M in the highest regards, the last two films however this is done away with completely. One more little complaint M should stay in her bloody office and run all the MI6 not just one agent. I even liked the title song something I haven't been able to say sine TLD. There was a perfect moment to use the short story by Fleming but alas the film only took it's name and nothing else. A solid 9/10 I'll put it number 4 on my list of Bond films. OHMSS FRWL CR QOS TB
  15. Dog's can shoot?
  16. If by sliightly you mean Bond is in the story and there is drinking you are right.....other than that???????????? "Quantum of Solace" is not a spy story and James Bond appears only in the background. Told in the style of W Somerset Maugham, the tale has Bond attending a boring dinner party at the Government House in Nassau, Bahamas with a group of socialites he can't stand. Bond makes a remark after dinner when the other guests have left in order to stimulate conversation, about always having thought it would be nice to marry an air hostess. This solicits a careful reply from the elderly Governor of The Bahamas who tells 007 a sad tale about a relationship between a former civil servant he calls Philip Masters, stationed in Bermuda, and air hostess Rhoda Llewellyn. After meeting aboard a flight to London the two eventually married but after a time Rhoda became unhappy with her life as a housewife. She then began a long open affair with the eldest son of a rich Bermudan family. As a result Masters' work deteriorated and he suffered a nervous breakdown. After recovering he was given a break from Bermuda by the governor and sent on an assignment to Washington to negotiate fishing rights with the US. At the same time the governor's wife had a talk with Rhoda just as her affair ended. Masters returned a few months later and decided to end his marriage, although he and Rhoda continued to appear as a happy couple in public. Masters returned alone to the UK, leaving a penniless Rhoda stranded in Bermuda, a cruel act which he would have been incapable of carrying out just a few months earlier. But Masters never recovered emotionally, nor recaptured any spark of vitality. The governor goes on to tell Bond how after a time Rhoda married a rich Canadian and seems to be happy. When Bond remarks that she hardly deserved her good fortune, the governor says that Masters had always been rather weak, and that perhaps Fate chose Rhoda as its instrument to teach him a lesson. The governor then reveals that the dinner companions whom Bond found so boring were in fact Rhoda and her rich Canadian husband. Bond then tells the governor Rhoda was much more interesting than he had thought. While the story does not include action elements, as other Fleming tales do, it attempts to posit that Bond's adventures pale in comparison with real life drama. Bond reflects that the lives of the people he passes somewhat superficial judgements upon can in fact hide poignant episodes." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_Your_Eyes...ory_collection)
  17. I agree. I don't miss Q Branch or the gadgets one bit.
  18. One of 5 short story's in the For Your Eyes Only book. The movie uses the title only and nothing about the story as written by Fleming. From a View to a Kill For Your Eyes Only Quantum of Solace Risico The Hildebrand Rarity
  19. My load times are instantaneous, the graphics don't bug me a bit (they are 10 years old) little to no bugs, no CTD, no balancing issues at all. The fact that you don't need the CD in the tray +100
  20. My 6 year old lost his first tooth today and is not taking it well. "I want my tooth back"
  21. You are sooooooooooooo wrong it's funny.
  22. Started a new game of Fallout 2, currently at Sierra Army Base. Favorite part of the game so far Good stuff. When I finish I'll go and pick up part 3.
  23. But would you?
  24. "Whatever controversy may have existed would have been worse if this edition had made US screens. This DVD presents the "uncut international version" which runs 24 minutes longer than the US one did. (In the US, Leon was called The Professional, which leads to this DVD's awkward title of Leon The Professional, but I'll be damned if I'm going to refer to it by that silly name.) Although I saw The Professional theatrically, I don't remember it well enough to verify the additions myself, but a trip to IMDB confirmed that the parts I thought were new indeed didn't appear in 1994. Virtually all of the scenes that were omitted in the US featured either the sexual aspect of the relationship between Leon and Mathilda, or showed her in some socially inappropriate manner (participating in missions, drunk, using a gun). Not all of the rougher stuff involving Mathilda was excised from the US version, but much of it was." http://www.dvdmg.com/leonsuperbit.shtml
