Coop only games are designed to attract the weak who would have been weeded and bullied out after trying multiplayer a single time and having had the experience of being called a multitude of colourful names they never knew existed. It's multiplayer with training wheels, it does not even deserve to be called so. These people should stick to playing candy crush and angry birds and leave multiplayer to those who can stomach it. The strong survive and become legend. But how can they hope to do so without wadning through rivers of blood and butthurt to achieve their goals. Got a little dramatic towards the end there.

FFA is a crapshoot though, you can get away with anything if the circumstances permit it. In HW2 i used to demoralise cap rushers by targeting the research modules and make them rage quit. Cap rushers are on a very tight timetable and can't afford any distractions. IF they are the first to pump out a destroyer near an enemy MS, it's usually over though.

Yeah I was all excited about it, thinking it might be a good source of clips on the Silk Road and the Yuan Dynasty court. But it went off the rails rather quickly. The real story about the successive Khan assaults on the walled city is pretty interesting. There was a documentary on it on youtube but I think they took it down. But yeah, lots of naked concubines and princesses and whatnot and not much depth to any of the characters. It's Hallmark produced by HBO. (not literally)

Just started the Original Campaign after running through Dragonfall in a two afternoons. Combat is weak but writing is strong. I kinda think combat is so unimpressive that it should have been real time with pause or maybe diablo style. Mostly no real offering of tactical choices to justify turns so adding time and timing might have helped create a sense of urgency. For the basics of getting a turn based shooter to work. Xcom reboot is the new gold standard. Not really a place for anything that is demonstrably worse.

I predict the game will be in preorder for as long as they can possibly drag it out. Every month is mo money.

You could just view it as a logical result of an armed populace. The police don't shoot anyone in countries where beat cops don't carry guns, and that statistic goes both ways, cops are safer on the job when it isn't a well stocked warzone. I'm not suggesting US cops be disarmed, it's too late for that. Maybe those shirt cameras should be mandatory for every police interaction. Make it part of the chain of evidence/custody.
