I like risk, in the form of permadeath for NPC party members like in BG2, not in the shape of blind choices and sucky builds.

This. So often you have no real idea what you are selecting before you have tried it out some.

Really? REALLY?! There is a HUGE scientific consensus that global warming is very real and very bad. But hey, what would scientists know? It's not like they study the Earth's atmosphere, water table, chemistry, and physics or anything. You mean most of the information from non-scientists has an agenda. Gorgon, you're spreading harmful disinformation by implying that both sides have an agenda. The global scientific consensus has no other agenda than telling the truth. And the truth they are telling you is: global warming is real, near, and catastrophic. The interesting thing is that all the engineers know this as well. Ask any country's professional engineering society what their stance on global warming is, and do they factor it into their design and planning decisions? The answers will be yes it is happening, and yes, they do. My post was about the difficulty of obtaining information on the subject, I wasn't looking for more opinion. There's enough of that going around. Prove it, so the skeptics who try and fail to discover it for themselves will be moved. It will be your good deed for the day. And to emphasise, the question was 'is global warming man made' not 'does it exist', of course it does. Edit : perhaps the word to use is 'climate change' since there is a school of though advocating that it's getting colder, not warmer.

It's not easy trying to figure out what the consensus is on global warming, most of the information out there has an agenda. The rest of it is very vague and doesn't come down on one side or the other, simply stating that there is a difference of opinion. The whole equation is so complex that it might as well be magic to the average observer trying to figure out if global warming is a man made phenomenon or not. I challenge anyone to try and reference what the prevailing feeling is in the scientific community. Scientists don't play politics, or they shouldn't, but are constantly co opted by one side or the other.

I support the option of a complete skill respec. You quite often wind up not having your build just the way you want it, you find out a skill you selected sucked and you are stuck with it etc, but it's not like you would bother starting over. I don't mind it costing a lot of gold or some experience even, so you don't misuse it.

I only listed shows that are still airing, otherwise BSG and The Wire would probably be in there.

In no particular order Sons of Anarchy Boardwalk Empire The Daily Show (hey, it's TV it should count) Walking Dead Breaking Bad Family Guy SouthPark

Don't think so, for spamming account reasons. I'm sure you can imagine.

The crashes and freezes which were in EVERY mission are gone so far with me starting a new game, and I didn't do anything. That probably only leaves corrupted saves. So anyway it appears I spoke too soon.

If a spindle drive is performing a write and you lose power. It's happened before.

Xcom. Crashes I could handle, but the thing hangs. That's not without risk to my computer, I could fry a HDD every time it happens and I have to hard reset. Trying to turn off everything STEAM related, cloud save, comunity, etc. But honestly I'm nervous about ever booting it up again. As disapointments go I'd call it a 10 out of 10. Broken game, no refund. Have fun with it customers.

Jhon Lennon was shot. Knew that already.

A "truth" engineered, run and controlled by a bunch of wannabe-Kings. As for the rest: Thanks for turning another subject into a "RT sucks lol Fox News and BBC rawks" ****storm, instead of discussing the actual video content I linked. That's nothing new, the republicans have been using that angle in the election for a long time.

Ideally one should have at least 7 or 8 parties. Large parties grow larger by eating up the competition, that's an organic process that can't really be halted. but it's nolonger healthy when the entire rainbow of the political spectrum becomes reduced to a two coloured dichotomy. Fancy analogy if I do say so myself. What it means is that if you seek participation, odds are good that no party exists which remotely resembles your political inclination. That leaves a lot of people disillusioned. I don't think every republican voter stupports creationism, wait and see on stem cell research, or seek and destroy on sex ed and birth prevention programmes, but if you vote republican that's where part of your influcence goes. If you want to avoid it your best bet is to associate yourself with a PAC and try to buy influence or extort your way in instead. it's not an ideal situation. A larger spectrum would have a greater chance of keeping the wingnuts at the edges of political influence.

Identifying unknown items in PE

I always thought it was pretty retarded not being able to put on a pair of boots because you didn't know what magic was on them.- 46 replies

Well it's not watered down. That's good. That was my main complaint about Army of Darkness.

RT means Russia Today and it's state funded. It has a Russian perspective, which is interesting at times, but it's not ridiculed for it's journalism like ,say, Fox News.

Two handed swords
Gorgon replied to ArcaneBoozery's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
While were at it, why is there never a spear+shield option. The tradition is to get caught up in weapon type. Is it one or two handed, if it's two handed it takes up both hands. That doesn't leave any space for a Hoplite type situation.- 134 replies

Yeah the hardware part of it is nice enough. -

It's more that I've done that discussion a million times already. I don't understand Apple users, but I have come to accept that I don't have to. -

Why is the appstore a plus. I mean aside from preventing various malware, it seems to me there are easier ways of doing that. Hardly worth giving up root access to your device. Nevemind, lets not derail this into Apple vs PC. -

I wonder how good the digitizer part of it is. I've got a wacom screen thingie, but it's got too many cords going on. Doesn't reach my couch without a hassle.
