I've just started chapter 8 and I've not seen anything so far that is bad about AC3 that isn't optional like those blasted feather missions. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Ubisoft really have to get off their formula and try to be more original. Maybe It's the way maps and landmarks work, climp a radio tower (Farcry) and get the Assassin's Creedtm pan and icons pop up on the map that tell you exactly what to do when you get there. There are never any surprises. Rinse and repeat 200 times. I was actually kinda interested in seeing how the expected twist in Farcry 3 was going to play out but I couldn't take anymore sameyness.

The real tragedy there is Assassins Creed 3 itself.

I'm thinking several titles haven't met their predicted sales and they are afraid to give them a heavy price reduction. STEAM have always been a bit too optimistic about just how long a title should maintain it's initial price.

Can't you load the autosave, or is there no load option at all. I vaugely remember having to do something out of the ordinary to get the saves to show up.

Yeah it's good. One big question though. Why is there no PVP arena. Other than that I'm finding it too easy both in coop mode and soloing. The arenas were the most fun I've had. I think there's just too many levels, it makes getting the difficulty right too hard. They should have 5 or 10 gun tiers instead of 60. You find one you like and 5 minuites later it's obsolete.

Borderlands 2. Really annoys me that there are a hundred levels for every gun you pick up. The joy of finding good rifle is much depreciated by knowing that it will be outdated in another level or two. Isn't Dead Island the same. lv 21 wrench. unequippable at lv 20.

Every time a school shooting happens gun sales go up because people are afraid the gov't is going to come take what they hadn't gotten around to buying yet. A thriving gun industry is the most important part of the lobbying effort. In a non related example aspestos remained legal 10 years after the link with cancer had been established. It still is, although it can only be sold to countries with no safty regulatons at all. If you have an industry behind you, if lots of jobs are at stake and if you spend the money you can wield an almost godlike influence over the legislature.

Should I go see The Hobbit or is it basically a children's movie. Harry potterish and boring like everyone says.

I don't know why it says 'complaining about 30 C' in my post. I mean I must have written it, but I have no memory of it. Maybe because I've been awake for a day and a half now. Zero degrees = 32 Farenheit. It really is true what they say by the way, you definitely get dumber, more sluggish, as various chemical receptors in your brain lose potency. Glad there's no one at work except an equally lazy collegue.

Complaining about 30 degrees celcius. Wuss. Wuss. It's zero degrees now and I haven't even broken out my gloves.

I had an Ikea bed once. That was a mistake. It was like a sinking wobbly ship and I didn't even get to brag about how I broke it doing the deed. My rather portly aunt broke it just sitting on it which made her feel bad about herself.

I'll just say this ; when the opportunity comes to call a truce, and it will in time, just remember that they don't have to love eachother, they just have to get along. That means both parties ready to start fresh 'for the greater good'. It's an argument most people can understand.

ARGH Metal Gear Solid 4 did this quite a few times. Hitman 3 does this all the time. Sometimes you lose everything just by going through a door. Basically whenever there is a cutscene you cross your fingers that 47 isn't going to swap out his machinegun for a pistola. I get the reason, it's easier to get the difficulty just right if you control the inventory, but it's just too annoying,

I'm not familiar with the national academy of sciences, but US think tanks are notoriously biased and funded by special interests. They put out all manner of scientific reports, most of which adhere to academic standards but were only created because the results were expected.

I don't know why they have decided to do a tablet pc/ mobile device interface for the PC. One size doesn't fit all and they are really quite dense for thinking it would just IMHO.

I was always told you weren't allowed to carry around a pocket knife longer than the width of three fingers. You can carry a meat cleaver or a foot long carving knife if you wanted to though, as long as it isn't concealed.

Playing borderlands. I gotta say it was not half as bad as I expected. I wish one had communal XP and could swap out characters in town. I don't have any interest in replaying it four times and there is already too much grind focus. Looks gorgeous though.

I'm watching some senator suggesing a ban on clips with more than 10 rounds and reinstating the Clinton assault weapon ban. So, what, the guy would have had to reload once or twice giving the police time to show up ?. Is that the logic. If people aren't wearing body armor why are they wasting time with a ban like that.

Don't get me wrong, I would have prefered an invasion. Get the job done instead of dragging it out forever. That was the real cost in lives, not having the political will to put NATO forces in harms way.
