http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/nn20120921a9.html It would be interesting to know what the effect of draconian drug laws have been. Are there markedly fewer drug addicts or just more people in prison.

You woke up a 7 year old thread. How is this even possible.

Norway appoints Muslim woman Minister of Culture
Gorgon replied to obyknven's topic in Way Off-Topic
What's the point of a minister of culture. I mean doesn't that pretty much take care of itself. We have a minister of the arts so we can subsidise the theaters, balet dancers gotta work too you know. -
Would anybody like a game of Torchlight 2 with me?
Gorgon replied to Humodour's topic in Computer and Console
I hard it was 'cute'. Doesn't sound good to me. Borderlands that is. -
Not playing Morrowind again, I played my dues. I'm done. Finito.

Cloud saves please
Gorgon replied to posthuman's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Just don't do it half way and have cloud saves enabled by default but creating corrupt saves (skyrim) Other than that, don't really care. Only have the one gaming computer. -
Whatever game he had he seemed to have lost it all based on his performance in the primaries. Getting yourself noticed while you are leading the opposition is the easiest thing in the world.

Sounds almost as good as Faster than the Speed of Love.

Killing companions
Gorgon replied to Sarog's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I am really not a fan of immortal companions. I particularly disliked how it was done in NWN2. You should'nt keep NPCs on life support just because they have lines later on. There is always a workaround for it if you think it through. It's a bit reminiscent of the babysitting mission debacle. As long as you can have the NPC die and have that be a result rather than a reload, I'm fine with it, but having to reload a babysitting mission over and over while being a victim of AI quirks and bad pathfinding. It's one of the tings that will make me give up on a game completely. -
Personally I don't want beta access. I want to play the game when it's done, not exhaust my interest in it while it's still buggy and unpolished.

The Barbie dressup component of RPGs cannot be underestimated. I can't begin to count the number of people i killed - then reloaded - in FONW because I absolutely needed to try on their hats. There is no rule that says you can't have a prestige armor or two that can look the part because it only fit's one body type though.

Picked up divine divinity for a fiver. Surprisingly it hasn't aged that badly, and thankfully there is support for modern resolutions. It's a bit hard to read with the text so tiny though.

I used to be a regular at BIS, no idea how long ago that was. We used to live in a shoe and the internet was a relative novelty. My father beat me senseless with a shovel every day to build characer. Kids these days etc.

DLC vs Expansion Packs
Gorgon replied to Intoxicated_Ant's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It's a bit like saying steam trains vs electrics. Proper game expansions harldy exist anymore, there's more money in DLCs and they don't necesarilly require a full developer team.- 139 replies

[Merged] Voice Acting- Suggestion
Gorgon replied to Dashwood's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Max von Sydow as your soul ability sensei. He makes lengthy and unlikely explanations of a core game mechanic go down really easy. -
Thanks for making me feel like a geezer you bastard.

Gorgon replied to Margaretha's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I don't think a little curvage hurts anyone. What matters is how the female characters are written. I trust Obsidian to be able to stay away the usual banalities. -
Can i just cast a vote for women with no shirts on in general.

Show Muhammad
Gorgon replied to GrimRadke's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
Yeah but that's just because it's how a lot of politics are driven in the middle east these days. The Islamic Brotherhood, who now pretty much run Egypt, were the ones who called for mass protests and are now feeling pretty hung over about the whole thing. -

JE doesn't like romances either. So maybe we'll get none, or some bad ones.
