  1. Dissing the US helps prevent cancer and heart disease in 32% of practitioners.
  2. Why is this thread called 'The drums of war' and not 'Business as usual' ?
  3. Yeah it was alright. What I expected pretty much. Robin is kindof a tosser though, whether ex cop or circus acrobat. I hope that movie doesn't get made.
  4. I dunno, he looks kinda shifty. I get more spoon bender than visionary.
  5. Gave up on Max Payne 3. Got to the last, or thereabouts, bossfight with a guy hiding behind a riot shield and shooting a grenade launcher, died close to 100 times on hard and a few more on easy. Just couldn't figure out what direction the game was shoohorning me into then decided I didn't care. A shame really it was pretty good otherwise. Why are most bossfights anoying anomalies that you just wish were over. There are better ways of making it difficult than having the player go through a trail and error process because the gameplay is different from what you have been doing 90% of the time.
  6. It's not so much a discovery as wishful thinking though.
  7. So you can weasle out of paying VAT, or rather your dad can deduct it on his tax return.
  8. I just wanted to ad that Halo games are objectively and measurably bad.
  9. I would go 'Only i America' but I can't really, after Brevik. All of that for 15 minuites of fame. What an ****.
  10. Disturbing to say the least, but it raises an interesting question. What happens when you will be able to buy more life with money. In a general health sense we are already there, but when the very rich become immortal. Will it be time to reimagine the monetary system, will a revolution succeed, or will they divide and conquer like they always have.
  11. Well alrigth if they came to me begging for an eight-some I might not turn them down, if it was a slow day that is.
  12. As bad as windows is my experience of MacOs is that everything has large shiny buttons, there is no context menu on the right click button and you can't do anything if you are not signed into Itunes. Can you even still install from disk or is it all Appstore now.
  13. The strength of the series is in the feel, the level design and the exploration but appart from that its a shooter and it gets quite challenging at times.
  14. It all comes back to being absurdly obsessed with he superiority of the Russian race though. Maybe he got picked on in school.
  15. No wonder they went raiding whenever they had the chance.
  16. I'm enjoying it on the whole. I like that you can kill almost anything with one well placed shot and that you die when caught flat footed. That is to say, when you have run out of win button, or bullet time as it were. There are still a few griefs about it that keep me from loving it. The weapon shifting is wonky. Mouse wheel would be preferable to the mini menu. Why does the game take away your carefully collected guns in every single cut sceene. It get's a bit irritating. The golden guns minigame is lame. Why would you want to complete that and make all your gun textures ugly. The mouse speed gets borked when you are prone or in some of the scripted slo mo events. The rail shooter sequences are boring, there is no spatial awareness, no tactical movement. The story isn't great, I could live with that but most of the 15 hours of gameplay is interspaced with unskippable cutscenes every five minuites.
  17. Surely it's Ich verstehen dich nicht. Subject, Verb, Object. Declarative sentence standard order.
  18. Anyone played Day Z ?. Zombie survival mod for Arma II, collegue was raving about it today.
  19. You know what they say about Korean girls, if you want them you have to beat their father at StarCraft. Swoon
  20. PS: I played Ultima 8 once for 5 minuites, don't care how hard Bio is going to bend it over the kitchen sink.
  21. A game can blow though. That counts. Games rape me all the time as of late. It's simply another connotation of a word, it's not incorrect in any sense. Grammar usually has a right and a wrong answer for you, language usage, however, is its own arbiter. We make these changes long before they ever make it into a dictionary, and by then they are usually last year's meme.
  22. Yeah I remember those That's genuniely scary. As is the hair on the hobbits' feet. Moving around with a will of its own.
