Samsung Gallaxy S3 came in the post today. I can now lord my hipster status over my Iphone peasant friends. The screen makes web browsing enjoyable. The keyboard is for tiny tiny fingers though logging in here took ages. Why didn't they do a large transparent one.

Maybe they could put a time limit on it. Own it for a year and you can resell it, by then the game will have aged and not sell at full price.

huh, I just assumed the maximum bonus for anything can't exceed a base score of 10. It certainly reads that way.

Finesse gives you +5 luck on determining criticals, you only need 5 luck to max out your combat bonuses. Of course having 10 luck has some funny dialouge in Vegas so it's not a complete loss.

Don't care about multiplayer. In fact I rather hope they don't spend any ammount of time balancing different factions and units and so on. The effect is not beneficial to the single player experience.

Helps energy weapons, lets you overcharge energy ammo, gives you access to a few munchkin perks that give you extra AP. One for all weapons and one for plasma only. Having a lockpick or Science of 100 helps you get into certain lesser 'plot doors', which can be a real help if you are stuck trying to find that blue access card.

They put crappy gears on all new bikes. 7 gears and none of them a high gear for when you are already at speed. I had to get my new bike souped up and I'm still not completely happy about it. My dad's old 3 speed was the best I had so far. I don't want to have 10 speeds and be chaning gears constantly, I just want 5 that actually make sense.

Well good, then we can have some more hardcore f2p games. Giant budgets don't make better games, just prettier ones that are marketed more agressively. The more money is involved the more mainstream it gets. Publishers try to please everyone and wind up with bland tasteless and edgeless TV dinners.

35 gigs is a lot. That would take whole days to get for the average internet connection. It's keeping me from getting it on steam anyway.

Aside from the fact that they probably can't make the engine work, think WW1. It's still got massed infantry and cavalry, the Uhlans were expressly banned from being reformed in the treaty of versaille. Early tanks wouldn't be a problem, biplanes and zeppelins would. The air would be the new combat theater, not a bad selling point. It's an incredibly rich environment.

I don't know if the new engine justifies a new game. Shogun Total war was the first in the series and it's very dated now. Rome 2 will look similar, high resolutions and impressive looking campaign map, but similar.
