  1. Friend of mine just had a lump in his head scanned, turns out it's a benign tumor. Don't know if it's operable or not, but at least he dodged the first bullet.
  2. Mads Mikkelsen as Mance Rayder, but then it turned out to be an internet rumor. It would be awesome though. He doesn't even have to say anything to pull off Mance Rayder, he could just stand there... brooding.
  3. You call that a tracheostomy, where's the passion
  4. I would rather watch this movie. They made it into a TV series which got a single season then got the axe. Nothing special. The comic is more Wasteland/Fallouty though, taking place several decades after the collaps of the US government - without the sci fi and BOS - but Chinese army remnants still causing trouble. It's a Western really. The duo travels from town to town, getting into adventures.
  5. The recent Aussie version was sortof credible, having Chinese or North Koreans invade mainland US, that would require a Sci Fi / re imagined cold war setting. They didn't even bother adressing the extreme unlikelyhood of such an event, which is just lazy.
  6. I don't see what all the fuss is about. It has a few highlights here and there, but I wouldn't call it much better than average for the fantasy shelf. At least it's easily digestible. Maybe that's its strenght. Liked the TV series better than the book(s), which is an incredibly odd thing to hear yourself say.
  7. Probably because they are not in need of preservation efforts.
  8. Reading book 5.
  9. Why does her office look like an 8 year old girls bedroom.
  10. Play as a mage, that way you only have to resort to button mashing when you are out of mana. The game is following a long riseb tradition of wonky melee mechanics.
  11. While I agree with Gorgon in that Bioware's still doing quite well for the moment, we can't ignore the fire they've come under recently, and the fact that due to good old groupthink, their next game's probably going to have to address the backlash in some way (and from what they've dripped from the next Dragon Age project, it would seem that it's exactly what they're doing). Also, while I understand that people've left Bioware before, they did have 2 key Mass Effect team members leave during the ME3 development cycle (Lead Gameplay Designer Christina Norman and producer Jesse Houston) - both interestingly to Riot Games... Dragon age 3 is going to adress the backlash of the bad ending to Mass Effect 3. That makes no sense. Although I predict the absence of prominent primary colours in the closing cinematic. Seems to me the first step would be to admit that the ME3 ending was bad, they haven't even done that.
  12. It's Freeman running around the Mesa compound again ?. The gameplay footage looked like a section of the vanilla game, couldn't see anything different. Is it the grenades...
  13. I'm probably not the only one feeling the Star Wars metal fatigue. Not enough quality to ensure the future of the franchise. If you were 18 what exactly would be drawing you in ? The directoral genious of George Lucas, the Clone Wars animated series.... I think no.
  14. I do not like ? failure.
  15. Hey it's better than throwing all those Ipads out. At least now they serve a purpose.
  16. They are writing in stuff from the appendix. Maybe stuff about Gandalf and Aragorns first encounter with Gollum, that would be cool, and whatshisname, the man bear pig from he hobbit. I wonder how much they are going to make of him. I mean they did write out Tom Bombadil.
  17. black border. hmm. A resolution issue perhaps, it's an old game, or a driver issue for the same reason - legacy function is not always perfect. If it crashes as its about to launch the opening cinematic a missing third party dll.
  18. Why use https in your shared public folder though. I don't use facebook or twitter that much, don't really care how beautifully integrated it is there.
  19. It kinda lacks a big event. I mean a lot of whoopla goes into it, but I don't really care who can jump the farthest or run the fastest. Where's the tactics in that. It has propper sports, but they are usually dwarfed by their own lagues.
  20. They did rather conveniently avoid having the heroine kill a 12 year old girl. Now that would have been a real moral dilemma, rather than the imagined ones they stuck to.
  21. https://www.dropbox.... 17.34.47.jpg?m Forum does not like dropbox I see. Or more likely they didn't spring for 'real' direct links. You have to be logged into face or twitter. Anyway this was on my street door when I came home. Kinda old joke. Someone still hasn't finished season 1.
  22. The sad thing about that is that it started out pretty good, then the dialouge got increasingly cheesy to the point where it started hurting the movie. The death blow was the retired crew of some famous pacific theater battleship showing up out of nowhere to the beat aliens with their low tech oldtimer knowhow. If I spoiled you i did you a massive favor.
  23. It's text messages. So yes, it's different from being approached by horny guys in real life.
  24. I love how the video starts with a montage of people looking at her arse. Other than that, yes it's probably momentously annoying being the constant object off attention from horny guys. I can't even imagine. Appart from that we are talking about games. You know, you can't actually SEE the other person, much less his or her arse.
  25. At the risk of incurring their wroth I would agree. Women tend to be masterful at the wounded bird act, instantly drawing sympathy and allies from all sides.
