How did you stomach the CGI? Was it noticeable to you? Charlize Theron was the superior Furiosa hands down, but overall the move was better than Fury Road in everything but the practical effects. They leaned too much on the CGI for my taste.

Did you watch the rebuild too, or just the original series? -

Again, all I can say is what an unimaginative ending... For all it's faults, the show had interesting ideas, I did not expect such an ending. NGE had a payoff for the time invested with it's ending, even if it may have not been the most original one. But this, this was just a spit in the face. -

The whole nation. They were pretty sure they were gonna win, giving statements like "the doors of heaven are opened to us".

First real success of our new waterpolo representation since the last Olympics. Let's hope this is the restart of our dominance in the sport.

It's just funny how France ended up in the other side of the bracket from the main threat for a bunch of competitions. Overall I agree that team USA was the stronger team and that we needed to hit the shots in the last quarter, but the judges helped pushed the momentum the other way.

Should have been silver at the worst. I still don't understand how in the brackets we ended up playing the US for the finals and even there the judging was atrocious and looking at who the main judge was explains a lot. Either way, we showed that we are close to the best if not the best in the world in basketball (especially if the US blows out France) and we do that with an all Serbian team, not by buying good players. I am a little salty... Well on to the waterpolo finals. If we lose to Croatia we will not hear the end of it...

This week our PM lead went on vacation and I was acting lead. We had 4 production incidents this week... They ranged from a random piece of old code that started producing issues without any reason, to our dev ops deleting our cron job server. Suffice to say, my working days this week were averaging to around 12 hours... Well if nothing else it was a learning experience.

Exploding Kittens. Actually pretty great, was pleasantly surprised. -
Uf. I wouldn't trade for that time. The forums were probably better and IRCs, but everything else...

Tbh, I don't know. In some ways my life is going from one extreme to another and in others it's collecting dust. I used to be in a dead end job doing nothing the whole day but making decent money, now I'm caught in the US corporate grind doing way too much work, making more money then I need and learning new stuff every day. But I do not feel fulfilled because the job doesn't interest me, nor do I feel sad because at least I make good money doing it and to be perfectly honest I would have been fine sitting at that dead end job if they would have just been fair with me. I bought my own place, renovated it, now I'm sitting here writing from it, but the amount of aggravation it took getting here kind of canceled out the joy of finally being here. I guess what I'm trying to say is that these are some sort of achievements but they don't feel as such too me. I do get emotional going through them but in retrospect I do not feel satisfaction regarding them. I do get what you mean about following things that others dangle in front of you as something that everyone is supposed to do. I'm there now, finally alone, waiting to see if I will get lonely and if that will move me in the direction I am "supposed" to go in. I guess the worst thing about my life is that I do not feel happy regarding it nor do I feel sad living it. That's where I think it's different for me as opposed to you, I'm standing in place feeling fine doing nothing and not having any regrets looking back on it (yet). I go where the currents take me.
