  1. I like obsidians past games but it now becomes painful clear they do not know how to create a rpg from the ground up, all there past systems have used other tried and true games. there attribute system is a mess and all wrong. Wish I could get a refund since nothing is changing.
  2. This Guy has the same magical strength and power as gandalf this is what is wrong with the merging of stats. They have taking the lazy WoW route with stats lets make this an easy game to get into, That is not a tribute to the RPGs of old thats a slap in the face.
  3. they did it to make it simple and easy. its not a dump stat its a standard attribute for anyone who is serious in rpgs. I am not confused by it I am annoyed they are dumbing it down and making it simple. All the other ones make sense except this one, all they have to do is remove the damage increase for magic and its over.
  4. There is nothing wrong with might except maybe the name. I bet if they renamed it power or potency then less people whould whine about muscle wizards. No I wouldn't because strength is would still be missing, you can not have a bow that requires a strength to pull it back or a proper ecumbrance system, and kills role play. This game is supposed to be a spiritral successor to the BG series but the might attribute is more akin to a tribute to world of Warcraft. There could never be a way to allow bashing in of doors or chests. Its flawed. It allows the most powerful or mighty wizard to hit someone with a two handed sword as it does a fighter. That's wrong.
  5. Might Attribute is just all wrong a Wizard is just as Strong as a fighter and then on top of that a can wield more power full spells. Dont try to re invent the attribute system and stream line it its not what the old BG or RPGs were about. I am suprised you just didnt create 2 atributes power and reflex and leave it at that. Bring back Strength for how strong some one is and will power and inteligence for magic user classes.
  6. pen is mightier then the sword when you have a high intellect in order to trick some one, or you have a high dexterity in order to acuratly poke them in the eye, or you are strong enough to push it though there rib cage into there heart. Lack of a strength function is weak, were are certain weapons only being usable by people who are actually strong enough to use them. The might skill is something you would find in a streamlined mmo. Have to admit its my huge gripe as I like to fiddle around stats, I like have a big strong stupid fighter not anymore.
  7. Revamp of Atrribubte that actual reflected a persons attributes not his general power. Example Might shouldn't effect spell strength and melee damge, instead Intelegence, Wisdom or mental prowess attributes should do that, while physical attributes effect melee damge. Bashing of Doors and chests should be allowed Rolling for Stats would be AWESOMESAUCE. More Options for XP then just quests
  8. Man I hope they take the OP suggestion I hate that might is just a power stat, where is the role play of having a stupidly strong character.
  9. Can anything change before relase or is this just a bug hunt. Not going to lie don't like the attribute system at the moment, don't like how there is no strength, with might coving melee and magic damage just seems weak. Also not sure about just xp on quests as this makes it very linear I think in way of advancement. Would LOVE them adding rolling for stats.

  12. I am filing this under please stop holding my hand. I like invetory management knowthing that you have a limited room to carry equipment makes it more strategic. Otherwise you just dont pay attention to your surroundings or situations why well becuase you have 5000 items in a your back pack and one of them will get you out this situation. If these is implemented please have it in the easy option for game dificulty.
  13. I would like archery to be like Temple of Elemental Evil and a little JA2 thrown in, able to call shots on body parts, as well as ammo restrictions, freindly fire. I am defiantly getting tired of all the hand holding that games do for people these days. Ideally I would love it if this game had JA2 mechanics in a fantasy setting. But I dont think this is going to be turn based.
  14. As long as there is no japanese anime style over the top attacks I am good, and as well as there being a pure fighter class that has no magic.
  15. Not sure who played Temple of Elemental Evil but when it was released it was buggy as hell, but after decadeds of comunity patching the game is awesome. Why I bring this up is because its a tactical fantasy gem, weapon reach matters you can hold off a guy with a short sword with a polearm, you can brace for attacks, charge into attacks, firing a bow into melee could result in friendly fire and theres ammo restrictions and types. In general would like to more turn based options but of course this only really works well in turn based games this sounds like its going to be more like baldursgate which is not a bad thing.
  16. No melee ability for wizards in my book, I cant stand the jack of all trades that is actually super proficient in everything, if a wizard has melee capability then he should be gimped seriously spell wise.
