  1. It worked fine in the IE games. My best argument- I'm used to it. But thanks to all of you, for pointing out, that it is really not-so-important-ish ...
  2. IMO it is irrelevant and superfluos information considering battle. When reading combat log, you want the information about what just (or earlier) happened, you don't need to know whether the game was paused or not at that moment. Game paused is a status information that should be displayed somewhere else so there is more space in the log for important information. Well, autopause is in the log. It works fine during combat. I was speaking of outside combat ... I just don't want to have my eyes all over the screen, when the info could be in the log...
  3. After I reported it as a bug, although they probably knew about it anyway, the loading screen tips are being shown in the messages tab of the combat log in v364. The IE games were showing the "paused" message in their log, but I wonder if it's really the kind of information that the player may need to consult in retrospect. PoE shows a message on the screen, and I find it enough for me. Yes, just found out. I didn't notice yesterday. must be the scrolling-bug About the pause msg on screen: It should be in the log too. I would much rather have all the info collected there, than all over the screen
  4. Hey good thread ... My comment is regarding the log, outside combat: "Game paused" message would be nice... And perhaps the info from the load screen? Sometimes I can't read it before it is loaded...
  5. I would say 8, but it's totally my opinion only.
  6. Ahh that's good to know, missed that somehow ...
  7. The Elves still look miserable Well, it was good to see some polish, and listen to the VO. But i agree with others here, the background art is too detailed, and it makes the (combat) gameplay a bit messy. And the save/load has been fixed? At least it is running a bit smother on my old machine Thanks to Obsidian for all the hard work.... Cheers (But.. You could have saved some time working on the combat selection circles , they looked much better before)...
  8. Thanks. It has been a long wait
  9. I just started an IWD2 run. Had to give up, I was constantly looking for the Quick-loot bar, while trying to zoom out
  10. Hey guys, I have been playing since the beta started. It's a cool game. Here are my thoughts... The zoom and Quick load functions are awesome. Kits and new spells. BUT - I'm missing the "Guard" button from the original. Also... The game is easier now, as you find more spells and equipment than in the original. You can rest in places that you weren't allowed in the original...Map notes can reveal certain plot points. Dual wielding makes the fights too easy at times... And some details: The log is spammed by the messages: Turning undead, singing bard song... Minor detail but very annoying to me. Sound sets do not work properly (not yet. It has been reported as a bug). There is NO character abbreviation in game. You have to go back and forth in your multiplayer saves, to edit characters. Feel free to ask any questions, I probably can't answer anyway...
  11. Yes. New missing strings that were not in the last build. I'm too lazy to log any. It's everywhere ...
  12. I guess I'm waiting for build 666
  13. Thanks @Derek, I was going to post here, but it seems you are aware of this :D
  14. With the new patch the EE version is pretty stable. And there is a new "quick loot" function. It works great. Much easier to install, than finding my old CD's and getting widescreen mod to work... I think this will be awesome in IWD, and in fact I'm waiting to beta-test IDW:EE really soon
  15. Ménpwgra (casts *missing string*): Kalakoth's Minor Blight, in both descriptions:
  16. I love this game :D
  17. Medreth and his gang are pretty tough now ...
  18. Soon I can play IWD with a Half-Orc ?? Wouw
  19. Those invisible bugs will be hard to find and correct
