Since Im now a DPS whore Id like to view my own stats without always asking in-raid. Im perusing curse.com and see a few versions of a damage meter. Which is the best out of Skada, Recount and Deadly Boss Mod? Also, logging software is bad so if any of the above contain it you may immediately rule them out.

Took the family to the Brookfield Zoo on Saturday and it was a blast. I love zoo's and I hadnt been there in years. Caught a few of the new exhibits like the DINOSAUR EXPERIENCE (lame) and the Butterfly House (surprisingly cool). This zoo also has big glass observation windows at certain animals and we got to get really up close and personal with a male lion that was hamming it up like crazy and had a huge crowd oooh-ing and aaah-ing.

Well, Ill be a monkeys uncle, but it works. Went into Naxx for the first time since changing up some talents and following the recommended rotation and sure enough my DPS jumped to 2100+, then a little later was at 2200+. This leads me to the inescapable conclusion that I dont know what DPS actualy means. I always envisioned DPS as basically starting when you pull the boss/mob and stopping when the body hits the floor. Take that time and divide it into the total damage done over that time and voila, theres your DPS. So I would try to pour as many spell into a battle as possible, heavily relying on my faster casting spells, which flies in the face of the above method that favors slower casting but higher damage spells. So, can anyone give me a quick and dirty breakdown of how DPS is actually calculated? While Im tickled pink to have drastically increased my DPS it irritates me that I dont understand the mechanic.

Obama will almost certainly have two terms - however, it's plausible the Republicans will win 2016 even if Dems are still doing well, as happened in 2000. a) the American public is extremely conservative about presidents, even when they suck pretty badly (though there is a breaking point), b) Obama is still polling around the same level now of favourability as he was when he was elected (i.e. really high), c) the American economy will be on the road to recovery by 2012 even under the worst case scenarios, d) whether or not Obama (or even a Democrat) is elected President again or not has little bearing on the House and Senate where these healthcare bills come from. Hmm, maybe times have changed. Both my brother and sister are nurses with masters degrees and, back in the day, an 70 hour week wasnt uncommon. So yeah, if I could pull in 70k only working 24 hours a week Id be all over it too.

n00b time. So Im over at maxdps.com and I plug in all the stats for my mage and hit submit. After, the top of the page shows "DPS cycle" and then four spells; Fireball, Living Bomb, Pyroblast and Scorch and a DPS rating of 2168. In reality, I dont do anywhere near 2100 DPS but I also dont use the spell rotation listed at the top of the page. My method is close, I do Scorch, Living Bomb, Fireball but not usually Pyroblast since its cast time is so long unless my talent that makes it an insta-cast procs. So is the site telling me that if I follow that rotation I should be busting out 2100 DPS or am I reading it wrong?

Whaaaaaa? Nurse? I suppose if you like unbelievably long hours and piss poor pay thats a good choice. Of course you may truly enjoy helping people so thats kinda a reward in itself, if your a chump. While everyone else will fill you with altruistic crap, let me break it down for you. You will be doing your career for (presumably) the next 40+ years and they all suck. All of them. Unless your in the porn industry. So, choose a career that has the highest pay scale for your mental ability as money is what makes the world go round.
