  1. Most "terrorists" are uneducated dirtfarmers who have been indoctrinated / brainwashed into dying for allah. They arent some supersoldiers who have received the highest training to resist torture.
  2. *sigh* Its like Ive become the mayor of Crazytown. 1) Of course Ive never been tortured. Whats that have to do with anything? Ive also never been lit on fire but I dont need to to know it hurts. 2) What? Prove an improvable wasnt provable by other means? Again, whats that have to do with anything? Whats being debated is "torture doesnt work". I dont care if there are other ways (debatable), Im disputing how all you experts in the matter *know* that "torture doesnt work". Its utterly ridiculous for those words to even leave your fingertips when 100% of the people reading this would cave to torture and provide every last detail asked of them.
  3. What Im saying is that all the examples "of how all we need is a kind smile" are contrived. A lonely guy at a bar wants to speak about what he did to an interested fellow armed service member? Shocking! A hitman and drug dealer being interviewed by a journalist told him stuff? Inconceivable! Chat up a hostile enemy into giving up secret information? I dont think so. And just for the record, Im not debating morals or ethics but the absurd comment that "torture doesnt work". I mean, what? Are we just going to ignore thousands of years of successful torture to support some newage feelgood crapola? Ill bet you that not one person here wouldnt spill their guts of everything they know if put to the test.
  4. ToB had a "neutral" path? I cant remember it atm, was it only introduced in Ascension mod? (I didnt play that one)
  5. Yes, a friendly bloke drinking at the bar and people that *want* to tell their stories to journalists for their own gains are exactly the same as trying to extract secret information from a battle hardened trooper. All they need is a little understanding and a kind ear and they will spill their guts.
  6. Well look at the fancypants with the SSD. Is there a noticable increase in performance?
  7. Yeah, well I call BS. I know if someone was coming at my weiner with a hot poker that I would sing like a canary. Not false info, not partial info, full disclosure of whatever they wanted to know. A skilled interrogator will know when youve snapped and are just spouting nonsense. Also, they probably already know the general range of what you would possibly know. They arent going to interrogate a field grunt into telling them what the launch codes are, DUH. They will ask things he could possibly know: wheres the rest of your squad, how many of you are there, etc... Now with *every*single*thing* being classified as torture all were left with is harsh glares? C'mon. OMG, we made them listen to Metallica, OH THE HUMANITY! What? They had to stand for 12 hours!!! Call the press!
  8. While Im sure you're being sarcastic, its a good question. Asking nicely doesnt work and with every form of inconveniencing them being classified as torture, we're left with few option until reliable chemical or mechanical forms are discovered.
  9. Once you boil away the cultural incidentals, what your left with is an armed person. Why a sikhs would be legally able to carry a dagger, you know, to defend someone else, and a regular citizen wouldnt be afforded the same rights kinda answers itself doesnt it?
  10. Obama: "WTF did I just eat?" Wife: "Hold it in honey, dont do like Bush."
  11. "Pull my finger, in 3D!"
  12. Congrats! In anticipation of tomorrows crapton of snow (10-12"), Ive submitted for the day off. Also, I hate Chicago.
  13. Damn thing has a mind of its own doesnt it?
  14. Link?
  15. That sounds like the worst idea ever for flooring material. Easily stained/punctured/cut, wouldnt last five munites in my household but I can appreciate that it would look good.
  16. I know I'm bad and wrong, but I can't help thinking how terribly pretty she is. But I agree her music is awful. I've decided to install steel floors. Well, not really, but it would be cool. On a Modernist kick huh? First the business cards and now the floor.
  17. You shut your filty mouth!
  18. *pats back* Don't worry champ, there's always a next time. With only a .2% chance of dropping, and then you have to win the roll, that "next time" could be a long way off.
  19. Crikey, blimey and bloody hell. Can't fiqure out is that epic dedication or some sort of sickness A little of column A, a little of column B.
  20. Was playing WoW yesterday and we were tearing up Tempest Keep. The last boss falls and unbelievably Ashes of Al'ar drops! To non-WoW players that doesnt mean anything but you have to understand, thats like seeing Bigfoot. You always hear about it but nobody has it. In 5+ years of playing I've only ever SEEN it once and here it was, within my grasp. There were only 12 of us there so I had an unbelievable opportunity to win it but alas, I didnt.

    TV: Heroes

I dont think Ive seen even one new episode this season. Ive got 4-5 on my DVR and I just cant muster up the energy to watch them.
  22. Er, you mean Enoch answered Hurlshot's question?
  23. I saw Avatar 3D on Saturday and wow, I was blown away. Granted, I dont think Ive seen a 3D movie since Jaws 3 in 3D so there was a lot of room to be amazed but I was shocked and amazed by how good the visuals were. Gone were the cheesy cardboard 3D glasses, to be replaced with a sturdy pair of plastic ones, kinda like the cheap sunglasses you would get at Walmart. It was so seamless, so perfectly integrated, that I dont think it would be the same movie in mundane 2D. The story was fine and what would normally be a taxing 2h 40m flew right by. And I couldnt believe it but the theater was still packed.
  24. I wish WoW offered a lifetime subscription, Id be on that like a bum on a bologna sandwich.
