Chilloutman replied to CoM_Solaufein's topic in Computer and Console
Hmm, I will get it on sale eventually -
Yeah, after watching some lets plays I have to say its boring as hell. All factions are same, virtues are boring, units are boring, hell even new planet is boring. I dont see any reason to go for it

The developers need to be sent to jail for misleading the KS fans, how is there implementation of Romance going? Pease tell me they will have Romance in this game? Irony is strong in this one- 503 replies

Drama and games journalism, soggy leg joint edition
Chilloutman replied to Tale's topic in Way Off-Topic
More I read into that GG phenomene the more it looks to me like a mirror to society. Some people (and I am really happy that we still exists) are just fed up by all rules and rights every minority, interest group or even goverment (doesnt matter how right or reasonable is) force upton common people while those can only suffer and keep heads down. It is showing why internet needs to be anarchic place as its only free space which left. Its like everyone having party while freedom is leying on bed in next room dozed on sedatives -
Oh man, it needs quite imagination to connect book from 50s to modern Sweeden military. To be fair, its not so strange for me to connect stalinism with modern Russia

I got mixxed feelings about BE. On one hand I am looking forward for another Civ game, on other hand from most lets plays I seen it seems its not that close to Alpha Centauri I would like to be, and as always, I will definetely wait for some complete edition, not going to burn again like with Civ 5 (which was huge letdown after all those datadisks for Civ 4) I thought that when you doing new game from series you will include all stuff which was in previouse one and then start adding more content but missing religion and espionage, caravans etc... was step back

The quests/lore/writing in the beta - likes and dislikes
Chilloutman replied to Starwars's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
In the conversation with the head of the cult you have a third option to resolve the issue, if you are of a certain class. Which Class? I suppose its Cypher -

What I missing most (correct me if I am wrong) that I didnt find any line where I can confront villagers about freaking cult under their village which they know about (as noted in letter near ogre cave) I want to go to town and confront them about it -
I like how it have physix on boobs xD

I agree with this, and my question would also be "what game has ever been created whose only design purpose was just the killing of civilians and people in positions in authority, like Police ? ". In other words no other purpose but this? I don't want to seem to keep going on about it but its a new low for me in gaming development Postal, Carmageddon, GTA, Manhunt... list can go on but I dont like too much those games so someone can add more (I know these games were not ONLY about that but be real, most of gameplay was killing civilians
-
Um. Ethics aside - what's funny about that? In most combat-heavy games enemies are able to fight back. Or at least they are difficult to kill or destroy for some other reason. That's what makes it a game after all - you have rules and you have an opponent (AI or human) who you need to beat while the opponent tries to beat you using the same (or different but in any case predefined) ruleset. A combat situation is a problem and victory is your reward for solving it successfully. If there's no opponent, there's no reward and it's not much of a game. There will be cops going after you

Holy Smoke !!! This game is going from bad to worse, now they are playing the Neo-Nazi card....it doesn't get worse than that. This confirms my initial view...Volo definitely mustn't play this game !!! 1. I already hate that blog and its only second post i read there FNVG is an independent blog keeping you up-to-date on toxic behavior and offensive content (sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and more) in the games industry. In fact, the opposite is true - it’s a game about glorifying violent racism and white supremacy. Consider the game’s trailer, which conspicuously lingers on the white protagonist brutally murdering and mutilating people of color. like really? Now we cant have white protagonists anymore, because its racist xD 2. where is stated that he is neo-nazi? Because he is in islamofobic movement? On photo of team there seems to be 'brown' looking guy...

Mass murder opportunities have never been in short supply. I could do mass murder in BG in 1998. I can do mass murder in Dishonored today (the Conspiracy members are off-limits but everyone else is fair game). The funny part is I never did. I know that pixels don't feel pain - just somehow I'm never in a mood for a pointless virtual killing spree. Anyway, Hatred reminds me of Carmageddon. I like its punk attitude and I love how it stirred up the hornet's nest. Again all those sanctimonious moralists will burst their lungs crying about a video game. And thinking about their futile efforts makes me laugh. And I like things that make me laugh. But that's my point, there are several games where you can embark on a campaign of mass murder. Like any GTA game, so why is it such a novel idea for them and why do they think this is something different ? Maybe they dont, but I am pretty sure its working as we all can see on you as an example
-
Calm down Bruce, no-one force you to play it. And I dont see why you would question others to not play it. I dont have anything against violence in vidogames but I must say that Hatred looks quite tasteless. I prefer Postal - still have good memories when I was burning people protesting against violence in video games
-
Ooh I can allready hear the Weenies starting to squeal. Edit: Day one purchase. Looks like Postal 1 which takes itself seriously... bleh.

Am I the only one who thinks the entire Bayonetta thing is just 100% pure stupid. From frakked up proportions to pistol high-heels to pretty much everything. It's the kind of stupid that I'd normally laugh at, except it's too stupid to do even that. Yep, normally dont have too much problems with 'anime' japan style artistic approach but that game is way over the top, I would not touch it with 2m long stick

Origin isn't only EA games.https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/browse/ubisoft Admittedly, Ubisoft seems to be the only other publisher I can find on board with them. Activision, Namco, 2K, don't seem to. Well, still pretty limited

...generally... P.S. I freely substitute Steam into that statement. I understand people who are fine with both, and people who dislike both. Liking one and disliking the other, ehhhh. Well I am quite ok with Steam because its 'open' platform. I can buy games from many publishers on it, where with Origin I am stuck with their games only so I dont see point of such program running on background

Dragon Age: Origin is for free on Origin till 14th - even for free its no go as long as I have to have Origin :/

I dont have concerns about Putin himself, but that Western lack sense of humour is scary - looks like some Western people would jump out of window if we said so. And we already seen where it leads in history Most of us don't see trolling as humorous
