This is actually hilarious. :D He takes some of valid concerns, and twists them so bad, that it's hilarious. And what's with that drinking act in his video? :D Now, history likes to repeat itself and I have no idea, why so many people think we are immune now to the fallings of the past, especially the very young and naive Americans, who have very short history and suddenly they think they are the best thing the world has ever seen.... Read some about the actual empires that lasted for several centruries and how life was then. I can assure you that very little divides ancient romans and modern "western" society aside of tech and view on slavery, and we all know how Rome ended. Also some food for thought in this comic: http://www.highexistence.com/amusing-ourselves-to-death-huxley-vs-orwell/ I would say its mixture in these days

not true, one who starting combat is one who is attacking. Manual combat was quite fun even tho i think there is place for improvements. Designing your own ships was my favourite part of the game -
I do, and feel bad I didn't back Kingdom Come because it looks really good. You still can

Master of Orion 2 is hand down best 4X space strategy so far - hope it will someday have some decent successor -
And until you define what you mean by "prominent GGer", this question remains unanswerable. Is Davis "women in our society have become the most decadent sluts since the fall of Rome" Aurini, a self-identified gamergater, co-creator of The Sarkeesian Effect, with a Patreon that managed to gather nearly 10k dollars of gamergater money, prominent enough? Is Milo "you get your **** out for a living, don't tell me how to do my job" Yiannopoulos, also self-identified gamergater prominent enough? I would say Dan Vavra, he is developer of quite successfull dev studio - so he is related to game business and he was corresponder for some game magazines. Or maybe TotalBiscuit - he is quite known GG supporter. I must say I watched one video for Davis and he is quite funny but total out of place guy (probably in the head as well, doubt he ever got any women)

TIME magazine did a poll for most loathed word, feminism won. Now the claim is it was a "small bias sample" and doesn't accurately represent the mentality of the people. I've no idea how large the sample was but I'd hardly consider TIME's readership to be naturally bias towards anti-feminism... http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/time-apologizes-including-feminist-poll-words-ban/ As usual you don't understand a situation, get your facts straight please before make these " great statements of outrage" Its was TIME membership who complained about the fact " feminism " was in the list. And TIME magazine agreed. So they removed it, its not to understand because that's what there members wanted Doubt it were same members (majority) which voted for it, dont you think?

This is also why they generally tend not to offer any meaningful insight into what the wider populace thinks. I mean, you can certainly ascertain what the subgroup of "people who have access to Internet, have time to and like to fill out internet polls, and are aware of the poll in question" think, but these selection criteria are not guaranteed to grant you a representative sample. Gee, it's like you people have never heard of selection bias. I agree with you that people who reply were limited sample, still poll have its results and doesnt have to reflect your opinion and definitely should not change winning option because it's comfortable for someone

I thought the point about the word " feminism " been taken out the poll was answered ? It was taken out because it would have skewered the result, if you had the word "ISIS " in the poll surly they should receive more negativity ? But people who are active on the Internet vote on emotion and somehow "feminism " becomes the worst word ever. But that doesn't reflect the reality....just people who can influence the poll I'm not sure what else I didn't answer? I am starting to believe that you are biggest troll on these forums, and is quite a lot considering we got oby around

What does the "white" in white saviorism refer to? Well I see it on UK and France, where some people are feeling guilty for colonisation, however greatest savior is currently USA lead by black president so I dont see reference either

They removed it from the poll? Cowards. I know, right? I'd call for freedom of speech and tell them to go F... themselves because I am not remoing any word. No its probably the right thing to do because it may create the wrong impression that feminism is a bad thing And these polls are really based on peoples emotional response, like saying EA was the worst company in the USA..even worse than cigarette companies, so the results don't always paint an accurate picture This is one of the most faschist quote I ever read on those forums. Your moral credit is bellow point of freeze now. to tobbaco companies. Its clear that you dont like smoking, but do you understand that there are millions of smokers who enjoy it? Why on earth would they vote against them?

I have to say this begs a very important consideration, why haven't any serious Devs or Development companies publically aligned with GG? It leads directly to the credibility of the movement and whether people want to be associated with it ? Here you go Bruce... http://techraptor.net/content/interview-daniel-vavra

On whether the "magic" is there or not in CRPGs

I would say its down to todays mantra about 'balance'. First whe nI started playing Civ 5 I was in awe, but after 10+ games you realise that civilisations are all almost same and you mostly play all of them same way. All techs are same in same order, some tactics are always much more superior (go for science) no matter which civ you are playing. One starts be bored by it really soon (but for some reason I still play them) too bad that new BE is even more boring. I was hoping for improved SMAC -
I don't really have an opinion on 4chan? Its got its good and bad traits like all websites But we absolutely do have freedom of abuse in RL Every company I have ever worked has a code of conduct that explicitly states what is considered unacceptable behaviour and things you can say Below is an example of part of the business ethics of the company I work for that we have to follow Responsibility to Uphold Diversity In order to uphold and sustain a fair and sustainable working environment, you must:- i. Respect the basic human and constitutional rights of all; ii. Treat people fairly regardless of their differences; iii. Provide a working environment free of discrimination; iv. Value different culture and beliefs; and v. Respect communities in which xx is located. Well you are not paid for surfing internetz so your comparsion is kinda off. I for one can say what I want when I am in pub (well but have to expect that I can get face smashed )
