Im actually completely naked, Im sitting on a towel in my chair. It's nice and comfy

Too bad I already have all the trades. The thing about old comics is that they have horrible colouring, with all the pinks and bright blue night skies and such, so all new colouring sounds awesome. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, the colouring is the main reason why I couldnt stand to read it. It was the same with "Watchmen"

What are you talking about? System specs have been out for ages, most retailers have them on their sites. They even have a list of compatible grahics cards

Regarding the supposedly modded faces, the guy says theyre just straight from the toolset that came with the game. So either I didnt look through all the available heads or the pre-release toolset doesnt contain all the models.
-
I agree. Left one is ugliest IMO <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Problem is... those heads are not in the game. I just took a look in the toolset. I think theyre modded faces.
-
The elf girl to the right looks pretty good, though there are some models who were beaten by the ugly stick in there no doubt

Webhallen sent out NWN2 today to pre-order customers, it better be here Friday or Im going to explode.

I thought they were up in FF XIII by now? ( I still dont play JRPGs )

Webhallen? "

IF its possible then you might be able to create a character in the toolset and use it in the campaign, then you could haxx a human face instead of those ugly elven things

Yes, I havent seen pixelated textures since Quake 1. Mr Llyranor has to run some seriously dodgy settings for that to happen.

Sorceror vs. Wizard in NWN2
Kaftan Barlast replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
I think that neither d20 nor WW's "dot" system lends itself very well to fun and tactical firearm combat. Theyre too abstract and nonspecific, you need to be able to use complex tactics ....and shoot people in the face " My own system is awesome for gun combat, complex yet not "Phoenix Command" complex -
What Ive seen of Crysis really made my jaw drop. It makes you wonder if its possible for ANY rig, even a Quad-Geforce8 to actually run it

Sorceror vs. Wizard in NWN2
Kaftan Barlast replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Blesch! Fantasy crossovers make me cringe. When I want a gun(which is 95% of the time) I just want a.. big.. friggin GUN. No magical arcane peashooters, just an old .45 and a pocket full of bullets :D Unfortunantly, everyone here who play PnP are fantasy nerds -

Sorceror vs. Wizard in NWN2
Kaftan Barlast replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
The system is balanced, but not very logical. I heard it explained that a Wizard reads all the magic mumbo-jumbo except the last word which is the "Salenu samatka!!" part they shout when they spell and that starts the actual spell. One thing that is very strange is how they can read an entire scroll of a spell theyve never seen before in just a few seconds and cast from it all in the same round " -
NWN2: Major disappointment - Character creation
Kaftan Barlast replied to Riftworm's topic in Computer and Console
Im not arguing here, Im just explaining the weird cognitive functions of my brain. Its a completely subconscious thing, although very noticeable. Im not saying that girls should be forced to have their hair long* *Its perfectly acceptable to wear a wig as long as its of good quality -
NWN2: Major disappointment - Character creation
Kaftan Barlast replied to Riftworm's topic in Computer and Console
Ill answer anyway because my obsession with female hair forces me to! " Female humanoids must have atleast shoulderlength hair. The shorter it is, the less attractive they become until its by the ears at which time my brain dont even register them as female. Its kind of odd. -
Installing Games on Another Drive
Kaftan Barlast replied to Dark_Raven's topic in Skeeter's Junkyard
Yes, but registry is not only "available on drive C", as it is system-wide, it is application specific registry keys that can contain absolute paths to game installation folder, etc. And I think putting saves configuration settings in user's home directory makes a lot of sense, then it is easy to control permisions of non-administrator users (i.e. game's data directory doesn't have to be writeable by them). It is Unix way after all <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still think the DOS way is superior. All you should need to do to install a program is to move it to a folder and it never leaves that folder in any way. Clean, modular and easy. And all youd do to uninstall is delete the folder Now every piece of software you install is one step closer to crashing your OS since they just integrate themselves everywhere and spread files all over the place. Your average software is basicly like a cancer for your operating system -

But with 99% of games, if you cleanwipe the OS and reinstall you will have to reinstall them again even if theyre installed on a separate drive. Software these days have the nasty habit of needing registry keys and putting crap in the mydocuments folder instead of keeping in their own damn folder. *remembers DOS* -
It would be really nice if Josh would do it as a sideproject(even better as an official expansion), problem is that he probably wont have time to do it. But if he would allow it, Im sure there are many talented modteams who would like to do something with it. Id jump at that opportunity

Im trying to decide wether Im going to play as a Wizard or go as a Sorceror, In Pen&paper i prefer the Sorc because you dont need to keep shuffling spell lists all the time. But which class would give me the most in NWN? Sorceror +Can cast more spells +High Char will get more persuade+diplomacy +Can just choose the "good" spells and whore them up to 6x/day -Wont get any extra spell slots from items -Slower spell progression -Can only change spells on levelup Wizard +Can cast all spells +Gets extra feats +High Int will mean more skillpoints +Specialisation means even more spells +Will get lots of extra spell slot items that Sorcs cant use that will give him almost as many slots as a sorc -NWN2 hass les useful spells than PnP, thus versatility is not so much of a deal Anything more?

NWN2: Major disappointment - Character creation

I was just thinking of something, a lot of stores in the US havent even recieved their copies from the distributors yet but things are running smoothly in Israel to the point of alot of people getting early copies?!! I mean, are ATARi going for the middle-east? I wonder if EB Games in Beirut have theirs yet? )
