As I understand it, Tigs hasn't been doing a pure "no-reload" run. He reloaded in event of Bhaalspawn death in BG1. And he's trying to be entertaining more than he's trying to prove was a l33t g4m1ng b@d$$ he is. I would be disappointed if my dad was making issues out of things as small as the wine conversation.. making a problem out of things as small as that is a choice more than anything, imo. I hope you don't let the kids become losers or an element in this, it sounds like a horrible frustrating situation but they are innocent, and often times, much of the glue that keeps families together. I wish I had great advice to give, but you and many of the posters here simply have a grander experience with untying the knots that can happen within families.

I second that the bard stronghold would be interesting, but it has been the end of a fair amount of solo no-reload runs I have seen from veterans (the scs version that is) Were I playing one of those runs myself I would have skipped it for a bit, but that doesn't mean I wont second the suggestion to go there for this run, especially since I am on the waiting list

Ah, the joy of being the person who triggers the traps. Would mages not be able to far better protect themselves from trap damage? Or even the mighty Trueneutral, at least, has regeneration in his werewolf form.

Spells primarily buffs and protection spells, preference in bows and various types of elemental arrows are favorite ammo.. a wonderful bonus is they interrupt mages through stoneskin etc. and have pretty colors. Generally a coward that doesn't like to get hit, you know those small races Hates any kind of melee as he is allergic towards troll breath, blows and various forms of odor one might come across in such situations. I guess this a pretty good example of a standard reaction if a troll gets too close -->

I read some of his older runs, hilarious reads. Definitely worth a shot to line up, I hope your blade makes it in. If enough people die that mine makes it in, I am just happy he is ranged and, hopefully, primarily carries protection spells in his book. =P

If you lower that bar to more to 3+ murders in one incident, over the last twenty years the number of mass murders (3 or more dead) at schools are nearly the same in Europe (19) and the US (18). I never use Wikipedia as my sources, you missed the point. No need to foam and make up conclusions about a person you saw write 8 words on the internet about, its disingenuous.

What freedom is that exactly? The freedom to infringe on copyright? The freedom to rain on our parade? I imagine you would be much more tired of people making demands on these forums if they believed that they didn't have to support Obsidian (by buying or backing) and yet continued to make demands. Am I wrong on that assumption? I didn't equate all pirates to being all terrorists. I asked for public support in limiting and deterring PE piracy. Apparently I've come and rained on your parade by "demanding" that. Pirates hurt us the gamers, because they disuade developers from making PC-only single player games. What we are left with is console hand-me-downs which many of us here on the forums have hated (see DA2-bashing threads). For us to demand better games from developers and then when we are given an opportunity through a kickstarted game to not ask pirates to stop, we are continuing this trend of PC-only single player trash. The one or two games a year is insufficient. We as players (and backers) need to do something. As a backer, I want to see a bigger expansion pack and I believe that most other backers here do too. Obsidian has stated that they will use the funds that they get from the sales to make an expansion pack. If we have 0 sales, we don't get an expansion pack. My thread consisted of variable proposals to the backers and the developers. The developers so far have followed through on their part. They haven't implemented DRM and have made the game easy to access when it comes out. My issue is actually now with the backers. Why are you defending piracy for this game? How can you support a company and also come here and support piracy for PE. All I want is for people to say, "Yes, if I see someone pirating this game - which doesn't have DRM - then I will tell them to go an buy it and to stop pirating it." Community deterrence by speaking out against pirating PE and not actively putting your backed game on pirate sites is what you can do. Who the hell do you think you are to make demands from your fellow backers? Consider that when people actually defend a position you think is completely illogical, that you might not be seeing the big picture. Your whole OP and attitude is an insult to coherent thinking people.

I never got the elitist attitude that playing a game on PC with a controller is "not the true PC experience" or somehow "lesser" (BTW, I'm not accusing you or anyone here of this ). PC controllers have been around for well over a decade. Some games play better with controllers, like most platformers and essentially any driving/racing game ever made. Flight sims ans space sims play better with joysticks. Shooters play better with mouse & keyboard. There are better tools than others for certain games, simple as. Elitist is overused, what meaning does the word even have to you?
