NWN2 only 20 hours long?
I found Drakengard II to be excellent. But I wouldnt have minded it 20 hours shorter. They had the perfect point to end the story but then it carried on for another 20 hours. Granted an 80 hour action RPG is something of a rarity.

Sounds to me like you quit before you got any skills.

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
It dosnt suck, it's just not particularly representative of the final game. IE only two characters, small range or no skills (depending on your spending etc). DQ tells the "story" through flashbacks. So yes the story gets more fleshed out the further into the game you get. If someone said they played Jade Empire for 20 minutes and said it sucked I expect you would have something to say about it. Just how far did you get in your "few hours" anyway ?

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
Well I never made much progress in Lunar because it was so long (handheld). Although, I can think of many games I've ignored (or rented) because they were too short. I can't think of a single one that I did likewise because it was too long.

That did make me laugh out loud.

What are you playing now...
It goes non linear much sooner than most JRPGs but still manages to keep the story focused. It's a shame only Jessica's outfit changes (got her dressed as a bunny girl at the moment). Most if not all JRPG's have two features that get around that. Either skills or spells which cut down or eliminate the encounters and creatures which give silly ammounts of experience. The encounter rate in DQ VIII I find pretty light. Gets even better once you get your kitty to ride around on.

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
It depends if you have large chunks of freetime or not. If you only play for a coupld of hours a week then a 20 hour game is a pretty good fit. If on the other hand you play for 10 hours a day. Then it's going to be a blink and you miss it affair. Most of the people on here fall into the latter catagory.

NWN2 only 20 hours long?
DQ VIII is a bit of a slow starter. But once you get into the meat of the game it's incredible. I'm 40 hours in at the moment and I doubt I'm even half way through. Took about 10 hours just to gather the full party.

Heroes of Might & Magic V Beta
Think it took longer to unpack than to download. Or perhaps it was because I was watching it. Looks like it works anyway. But I'm off to play DragonQuest some more. Probably take a look on the weekend.

Complaint: grey characters not grey enough.
Still makes you a tool of the force. The force desires conflict because conflict makes you strong. Destiny is a huge part of the SW mythos, you cant escape it because the force has a "plan". The force really dosnt care what happens since all life is recycled into itself. Only that the conflict continues. Kreia has it right, although her plan would kill huge numbers of people, it's the only way the people of the SW universe would be free. You can consider the Grey Jedi as those who are wise enough to have seen this "plan" and want no part of it. Or in Kreias case want to free themselves completely.

Revan's fate...
Well there is a line in K1 when you face Malak as a Jedi. It goes something like I am more powerful now than I ever was in Darkness.
