  1. I hope the story would draw me in as it did in Kotor1. One thing that irked me was that there were not many subquests because I felt that the subquests helped fleshed out the culture and characters of the people you come into contact with. The good thing about Taris was there were many subquests which made playing it really interesting and gave you a taste of what life was there like. I hope TSL will have many subquests for each planet and not lump most of them on one planet.
  2. For me, Vader's relevation and Revan's relevation were equally shocking. I remember screaming Nooo along with Luke. With Kotor, my response was OMG! That's cool! Of course, when I replayed it all the clues were quite apparent.
  3. I would prefer option A because I'm only interested in the dev's response.
  4. I don't know levelling up forever and your enemies levelling up with you seems like you'll get lock into an endless cycle and instead of having believable character powers, you get a Dragon Ball effect. I admit, I do want to go maybe up to level 30 because I thought Yoda and Vader were all level 30.
  5. Yuki Kajiura is a brilliant composer. I love his works in Hack Sign, Noir and Madlax.
  6. I expect TSL to live up the gaming experience I had with Kotor 1. No less, and would pleasantly be surprised if more.
  7. I'm here because I love Kotor. It's the best game of all time, IMHO.
  8. You have much to learn of the darkside, apprentice.... I liked being evil in Kotor but I played it first as LS neutral and finding out that Bastila turned to the Darkside at the temple tore me up inside. The high point of being DS in Kotor was killing Carth, and the line: "The Sith bow before you." That was a power rush!
  9. Bastila had a wonderful story so I pick her. I don't know about the other two and I won't judge by appearance.
  10. I think since Kotor 1 made such an impact, TSL should attract many curious new gamers. I think newcomers would take TSL as it is and possibly the cameos from the old characters would prompt them to buy Kotor 1 to find out more about the characters.
  11. To me, continuity is important because this event takes place 5 years after the Star Forge. Your character is then placed in the aftermath of what happened at the Star Forge, which you will get to decide how that played out. If the game plot took place 10 years or even later after the Star Forge then I say bring on a new host of characters and story arcs. But since the plot for TSL ties in with Kotor 1 then to me continuity is a must.
  12. That would be cool Oh a jedi character doing some flourishes with his light saber and he dropping it, and you can hear Bastila laughing at him off camera.
  13. What I liked most about the old Triology was the interaction between characters and good dialogue. For me, the prequels lacked this. The stories always felt like someone pushed the fast forward button, and when the characters talked, they weren't reacting to each other or saying anything meaningful. You also didn't know why some characters were there in the first place. Like the kids that Anakin was supposed to be friends with, or the queen's Captain of the Guard. One dimensional characters that were part of the scenery and didn't contribute to the story. And Anakin wasn't an angry moody young man at war with his dark emotions. He was just a whinny, snot-nosed brat. That was something I never envisioned the dark lord of the Sith to be. I haven't got the newly released DVDs yet but I'm not really sure now that I want to. Some of the changes discussed doesn't sound right. I thought Lucas said he wanted to improve the triology by doing some things that he couldn't have done before because there wasn't the technology for it. But making Han into a I'll-shoot-only-after-you-shoot-me guy that isn't the smuggler I loved. And putting the younger version of Anakin into the ROTJ is wrong because that means Darth Vader wasn't redeemed at all.
  14. Just thought of some more: "You are either very brave, or some would call, foolish." "Your words mean nothing to me. Only your anger and pain." "Those archaic ideals will be your downfall." "Only the weak would hide behind some archaic code. Those destined for power follow their owns paths."
  15. Why on earth would Revan's gender affect the game unless there's a romance angle involved?
  16. The only info I could find about him on review sites is that they say he's disturbingly psychotic. Can you shed more light on him?
  17. I agree. Those Sith Lords must have been waiting for Revan and Malak to weaken the Republic, and then seized their opportunity to strike. But I wonder in TSL, would there be an opportunity for the PC to try to turn them against one another in a power struggle. All our enemies will be destroyed in a single, glorious day...
  18. How about: 1. How dare you defy me?! Your God! (taken from an anime translation) 2. Free yourself from your compassion. 3. This isn't over Jedi!
  19. I voted Revan because it's suppose to be a fun poll, and having fun, I say Revan wins when he zaps Vader with lightning Seriously, I'm not really sure who would win. I think Darth Vader would have more experience and could take a lot of damage. Perhaps he is stronger in the Force than Revan. But Revan is not just a Sith Lord, he/she is the Dark Lord of the Sith. I still think Revan is a great character, who is a great military strategist, charismatic leader and determined individual to do as he/she wants, and is willing to sacrifice anything and everything to achieve it. And I honestly don't think the Kotor story or Revan's story was crap. I thought it was brilliant and it renewed my interest in Star Wars after it had waned with the prequels.
  20. I think maybe you and Atton has some history together. And when he first sees you, it'll be like on Endar Spire with him informing you what has happened. Maybe he says, "I remember you, you were one of the jedis serving under Revan." Then he fills you in on the details, with your responses changing his replies.
  21. HK had a deadpan humour which I found entirely refreshing with all the serious-save the galaxy-soul searching conversations with the NPCs. I could think of a few people I would like to set him on.
  22. I loved those conversation sketches. They made the NPCs seem more realistic because they were actually relating to each other. I hope Kotor 2 has more of them, with also more by-play between the characters in the cut-scenes like when DS Bastila and Revan was reporting to the Republic Fleet before going to the Star Forge.
  23. Hmm..one quote I definitely don't want to hear is: "If I said you had a nice body, would you hold it against me? Barkeep, I sense I have offended my lady friend..."
  24. Wow...you do know everything there is to know. Thanks for enlightening me. ^_^
