  1. For me, it was Manaan (deepsea walking sucked), spacewalking on the Leviathan, and the fact that you couldn't take over the Sith Academy. Oh, and that you can't get Yuthura to join you even after you killed Juhani. Mainly I hated all the running through the deserts on Tatooine and other areas because it got dead boring fast. I also hated not being able to upgrade my swoop bike. One thing I'm thankful for: they changed their minds about naming Bastila 'Juhani'. Somehow, 'Juhani' wouldn't have fit Bastila's character very well.
  2. I didn't really mind it except I felt that you should have been able to interact with the ship more, unlock secrets to its past and perhaps subquests like go on a smuggling run or find the names of influential smugglers with rare items. The only thing I hated about it was the LS cutscene when the Admiral contacted Carth, and she assumed it was his ship, and he acting like it was his ship. I really wanted to throw him out of the airlock then. It's my ship! I hope for TSL, they give the Ebon Hawk more firepower.
  3. Could he be the NPC wookie that you could have in your party? ...or is he the real name of the Masked Sith Lord before assuming the name Darth Nihilis?
  4. Maybe...but I typed npc personalities and came back with 2 pages of ziltch. I don't think it's fair you should chew me out. At least I didn't start a thread about who is the best looking female/male NPC or what is your favourite colour light saber is. So, man, chill. FYI, I'm a girl.
  5. I searched but could not find a thread about this. Since, TSL will introduce a new line-up of NPCs for us to corrupt/lead to the path of goodness/kill, what do you think their personalities would be like? Would they be a rehash of characters presented in Kotor 1 or would they have their own unique quirks and storylines? Here's what I think their personalities would be like: - Kreia : an old Jedi master who doesn't like your character at first because you betrayed the Jedi Council by following Revan, and later conveniently disappeared when the Sith began their conquest of the galaxy. She would be hard to win over as you have to prove your 'good' intentions to her. And if she ends up in your party, she'll argue each decision you make, thinking her seniority should make her the leader of the party. - Atton Rand : a scoundrel with nothing to lose. A drifter who made his way through the galaxy by sheer luck despite his 'apparent' stupidity. In actual fact, Atton Rand is a cunning devious manipulator who enjoys masterminding situations to his advantage. In all, he is the essence of a cunning rat - even has the survival abilities. Hard to kill, hard to be a friend to but once loyalty is won, he'll fight by your side forever. - HK 50: he hates you and would kill you even the chance but some hidden motive stays his hand. - the Zabrak (forgot his name) : I think it would be funny if he was a pacifist. Anyway from his cyborg arm, I have a feeling he is incredibly good with repair work. - Atris : she is alone fighting the war against the Sith. She doesn't trust you but she has to work with you to save the universe. What do you guys think?
  6. That's also possible Some people also suggested that you lose your connection voluntarily by taking an oath not to use the Force. There are endless possibilities and each intriguing.
  7. I think both Darth Sun_Tzu's ideas work together. You go to Korriban to discover Revan's fate, and then discover an ancient scroll/holocron or wake up a ghost who guides you/tries to destroy in achieving greater power.
  8. I think in the beginning of the Mandalorian war, you followed Revan because you got caught up in his/her mission to save the galaxy. But during the war, you saw how Revan and Malak became more powerful, and you desired that power for yourself. So, you challenged Revan and Malak and they cut off your connection to the Force and sent you into exile.
  9. I like the idea of learning from an old Jedi master or Sith Lord ghost. You probably might learn battle meditation from Kreia.
  10. I think Wookies are pretty intelligent, strong and quite adaptive, so they would be a valued addition to your party. But I couldn't stand Zalbar. He was quite frustrating to talk to... Since each NPC is supposed to have a special, unique ability in TSL, maybe the Wookie's one would be berserk and in battle, he would be able to keep on fighting until the last enemy falls.
  11. I think he/she will die in an epic battle someday but hopefully not in TSL. If Revan did die in TSL, I would be terribly disappointed. "Learn Revan's fate" .... that sounds omnious.
  12. At the end of Kotor 1 where you're about to battle Malak and he gives a spiel about how you would forever be alone and that a constant war wages inside you between the darkside and lightside so even after you get the Star Forge, it is possible that you could tilt back to DS. I was thinking what if Revan was LS at the end of the Star Forge then became DS before the setting of TSL. Or if she/he was DS at the end of the Star Forge, then something happened to make him/her regret his/her actions and he/she left. Could this explain his/her disappearance? So when Revan went to Korriban after the Star Forge, it could be to destroy the ancient evil once and for all, or to use it for his/her conquest.
  13. Excellent previews... Hmm... I wonder what it means when the screencap's captions says: "The final attack did not kill you. But you feel the taint of the dark side coursing through you." Maybe the PC had a bad run in with a Sith Lord ghost, Revan or another Dark Lord?
  14. Canderous because he's bad to the bone. Plus, he would have made a far more interesting love interest than Carth. If he returns for TSL, I hope the romance option is open.
  15. I think most Sith wouldn't recognize Bastila's face unless they were Dark Jedi <_< If you go to Korriban as the first planet, Bastila explains why she can't join you since though most Sith would know her name, there might be an off chance a few who would recognize her face. As for what I loved most about Kotor was definately the NPC interactions with you, and the subquests.
  16. Thanks for posting the article, Craftsman. Another wookie? Female Sith Lord? TSL sounds like it is surely shaping up to be as good as Kotor1. Hope the wookie is evil.
  17. Excellent spoilers, SilverSun. I got the feeling that HK-47 was Revan's favourite. It kind of makes sense to have HK-50 since HK-47 would only be loyal to Revan, unless Revan was dead. So the introduction of HK-50 gets the storyline out of that tangle. It seems that HK-50 is programmed to kill you or aid you or subvert you to the Sith's side.
  18. I was playing Kotor again last night and was doing Sunry's case when something occured to me. When after you interview all the suspects at the hotel, a mysterious man approaches you and gives you the clue to search the Sith and Republic embassies. At first, I thought this man was an Exchange agent but now I wonder if he was part of the alleged shadow Sith conspiracy theory that the Sith had been guiding Revan and Malak to the Star Forge. I know that this theory doesn't hold water when we consider why would the Sith bother influencing something as minor as a cold-blooded murdering Republic soldier but it still something that bugs me. Or maybe the shadow Sith wanted Revan to hurry up and find the Star Forge, so they assisted Revan whenever they could. What do you think? Could it be a foreshadowing to a larger plot?
  19. I guess when you choose LS, they come out of wherever they were hiding and there's a climatic battle at the end of the game.
  20. I kind of want movable Kotor toy miniatures (about 15 cm tall) of HK, Bastila and the old Revan in full Dark Lord attire to put on my iMac at work. It'll give me endless inspiration when I'm writing.
  21. Hmm...why would it be out of place? For me, it would be creepy. Imagine you had the chance to kill this NPC, and then you might be killing off the entire skywalker lineage - even though Anakin was born from immaculate conception so this wouldn't be the case in the prequels or OT, it would still be creepy. Seriously, I feel that putting a Skywalker in Kotor would be stamping the skywalker legacy into the game, reflecting that skywalker is the only important mark of Star Wars. When I play the game, I want it to be about my hero/heroine and not be reminded of the skywalker destiny. It would ruin the story for me if I met a skywalker. Anyway, that's just how I feel.
  22. A Skywalker would be out of place in the Kotor universe. His family lineage/legacy should only be in the OT and prequels...because now is the time of Darth Revan and the Sith
  23. Interesting idea but I kind of like the old system which allows you access to DS/LS powers and you choose if you want to use them. I believe if you go up in level, you gain more knowledge of the Force and which powers you choose is reflective of how you want to use the Force, and not alignment. If the game went by alignment then there would be very clear definitions of light and dark, and those who choose to go the neutral path would suffer.
  24. I think HK47 couldn't come close to killing Revan considering he had trouble with Mandalore. Revan would scrap him if any traitorous thoughts crossed that maniacal droid's mind. I think Revan left a message with HK which you have to unlock slowly to recover it. For Bastilla, I have a feeling she has a strong role to play in the game. As for Revan being the last Sith Lord, I find highly improbable as Revan didn't strike me as the kind of person to share power willingly.
