Female: Cassandra Devon Male: Daric Warduk Don't know why but most rpgs, I put those as names because I like the sound of them.

Thanks for posting the article, KOTORFanactic. Now, I'm really psyched about the game since one of my fav characters will be in it.
-
So Visas Marr is a Miralukas? Thanks, Chris. Cool info :D
-
I know it sounds funny, but I think our character should have their own theme music. Perhaps something that sounds light in the beginning, sinister in the middle, and bittersweet at the end.

Hmm... I played FF7 awhile back when I had a playstation. It didn't interest me so I never played it all the way through. Don't own a Xbox or PS now so can't play the new FF. Haven't played Fable and won't think of getting it. So, I have to be completely unbiased and say Kotor 2.

Do You Think Your PC Will Be Stronger Then Revan
rika replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, I don't think your PC in TSL will be more powerful than Revan. Maybe equal in power or less, but not more powerful. Perhaps he/she will be more powerful in Revan in some ways, vice versa. It's not that I think there is only Revan, and only Revan as the right to be the most powerful Jedi during the time - but I think he/she is quite powerful to be one of the most feared Jedi/Sith Lords for that era. This is combined with his/her Force capabilities, and strategic brilliance. Not to say that Revan should overshadow your PC's reputation/capabilities in TSL. The story is about your character and their destiny after all. But I would hate it to for them to say that your PC is more powerful than Revan. I would like to think Revan would go on to do doing greater things, becoming more powerful during the 5 years since the Star Forge. Perhaps he/she does not want to bother out the events in the current universe/pehaps something more important caught his/her eye. Perhaps in TSL, NPCs would acknowledge your PC's strength/power by saying: No...I can't believe this. You are like the one who came before...You are as powerful as Revan (which kind of sounds really corny, sorry - I'm a bad speech writer). Anyway, it was said in one of those game preview interviews that in TSL, you will learn Revan's fate - this sounds omnious and does not bode well. I hope that it is not the case where a hero has to be removed in order for a new one to rise up and take his place. -
That's an awesome idea

That's true. In Kotor 1 on Dantooine, if you destroy the droid instead of sending it back to its master, the lady finds true love and happiness. I think it would be very cool to have the option to have implants like a robotic hand, meaning you sacrificed something for your power.

What Are You Looking Forward To Most In TSL?
rika replied to Xcalibers_Apprentice's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Welcome back :D -
With the Jedi hiding from the Sith's wrath, there should be a scarcity of the game. But I would like to discover non-party NPCs who will teach our PCs some important force powers or skills. Perhaps cameos from Kotor 1 characters could be non-party NPCs. For example, we discover Jolee hiding somewhere and he teaches you to do a powerful rare force power but he doesn't join your party. Visas Marr looks like an assassin. So perhaps she starts off the game as an assassin (perhaps her target is the Queen?) and you could have her join you, train her in the Force, and she becomes a Sith Assassin. But perhaps if you're lightside, you kill her in her assassination attempt, and you get the handmaiden instead.

Well, that's what you get for posing for the camera during a pitch battle :D

I agree Malak came across as whining but then again, he didn't have much of spine in the first place when he was a Jedi Knight because he followed Revan. His death was fitting - he died like he lived, a coward. I have a feeling if we kill Sion, he would not be remorseful at all, and perhaps taunt you that you will never know the power of the darkside of the force like he did.

Question: did we see any of the PCs or confirmed NPCs in the TSL screencaps wear any armour?

What Are You Looking Forward To Most In TSL?
rika replied to Xcalibers_Apprentice's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I found Pazaak to be alright, and swoop racing fun, once I got the hang of it. I'm looking forward to February j/k. I'm looking forward to finding out how the galaxy turned into a cesspool after Kotor 1. -
Fringers come from outside sociaty, replacing a formal education with skills and knowlegde gained from experience. Usally,a fringer hails from a world that lies outside the "civilized" regions of space, but fringers can come from the fringe of galactic sociaty-wherever that may be. They use their dexterity, wisdom and strength to survive whatever the galaxy throws at them. A fringer isen't necessarily unfamillier with technology, but he certanly dosen't have access to the conveniences available to those of higher status on worlds such as Coruscant or corellia. The fringer is handy, robust, independant, and a expert at survival due to learning the lessons of "frontier" regions,be they in the Outer Rim or in the darkest levels of Coruscant. Some fringers might be from primitive, low-tech sociaties, but most have a basic understanding of high-tech equipment-they just come from a world or a part of sociaty where such equipment is in extremely short supply. Examples of fringers in star wars.: Luke Skywalker(beginning of A New Hope,Anakin Skywalker (in episode I),Biggs Darklighter. Characteristics. The fringer is a jack-of-all-trades,learning a little bit of everything to increase his or her chances of suviving. Often, a fringer can keep even the oldest, most beat-up piece of equipment running. Where a scout or a soildier has extencive training in repair skills(in D20),a fringer is better at keeping equipment jury-rigged than fixing it completely. this also meansthe fringer is faster at making slapdash repais, even in extreme situations, but less likely to fully repair an item. The fringeris at homein the hinterlands of space, able to get by without the conveniences of civilization. Of all the classes, fringersbest able to deal with whatever troubles the galaxy throws their way. They have excellent survival instincts and an enthusiasm that gets them through difficult circumstances. BAB (same as sentinel) Speciel abillitys: Barter,Jury-rig,survival bonus and bonus feats. Hope this answers some questions. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> From that description, I would vote Bao as a fringer. I mean his cyborg arm looks a bit outdated in terms of technology.

Do You Prefer The Dark Side Or Light Side?
rika replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I prefer to walk my own path ... because sometimes doing good means doing evil things. So neutrality is my first play. Afterwards, I try darkside then lightside. After ruling the galaxy with Bastila as a female, the lightside ending and falling in love with Carth was kind of an anti-climax. -
I look forward to everything...a whole new Kotor experience. I think the game has about 4 times replay value (at least!) because you do LS & DS Male & Female with a different chacter class each time. With 6 prestige classes, that adds another 2 times in replay value, totaling 6 (minimum) game sessions.

What are the odds that it'll be an evil wookie this time?
-
:D You did? Cool! I always acted so bloody noble during the Leviathan. Did you also revealed that you were after the Star Forge?

Chronicles Of The Old Republic?
rika replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Think I finally found the bloody thread on the book subject: Read this thread -
Here's the thing though - surely he must hav already known about the enclave because Malak most likely trained to beome a Jedi at Dantooine (the Jedi Masters on Dantooine go into how Revan & Malak were as pupils and Revan's thrist for knowledge etc.). Furthermore, he was on Dantooine with Revan (searching for the Starmap), during a timeline when the Academy existed on Dantooine. Therefore, there's no way he could have 'learned' of the Academy's presence; he was already aware of it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry my bad.. what I meant was: When he (as in Saul) found the Jedi enclave on Dantooine, fearing that the Jedi Council might aid Revan, he (as in Saul) ordered the destruction of Dantooine.
-
Okay, maybe Malak wanted to preserve the Dark Side tainted ruins on Dantooine, in hopes of building another Sith academy after the galaxy was conquered. But when he found out Revan was alive, Saul Karath took the initiative and began a search for Revan. When he found the Jedi enclave on Dantooine, fearing that the Jedi Council might aid Revan, he ordered the destruction of Dantooine.

How many times have you beaten Kotor?
rika replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
About 14 times from start to finish: LS/DS/neutral male/female consular/guardian/sentinel. About 19 times from various saved points in the game. -
Chronicles Of The Old Republic?
rika replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I remember Nur mentioning in one of his posts that there will be some books written in the Kotor timeline but if they occur before Kotor 1, between Kotor 1 and Kotor 2, or after I'm not too sure of. -
I'm quite happy with 12, but I hope there will be some characters who could be temporary NPCs who disappear after the sidequest is done. But I'll be happier if there more than 12 sidequests.
