  1. Hey, while I have the rulebook open, here's how the card game rulebook defines Banishing a card: Banish: Put it back in the [vault], shuffling it in with the other cards of the same type (thus losing it for good). Anything you have in your hand, deck, on display, in your discard pile, and on your bury pile comes back to your deck at the end of a scenario, and you can use all of those cards to rebuild your deck. When you Banish something, the only way to get it back is to encounter it randomly, just like any other card, and acquire it normally. (That's what they mean by "losing it for good". It becomes a random encounter rather than part of your character deck.)
  2. Hawk, I know YOU know this verbage, but for others reading this thread (and who haven't read the OTHER threads where this has been quoted)... From the card game rulebook: If the card is a boon, you may try to acquire it for your deck; if it’s a bane, you must try to defeat it (see Attempting a Check, below). If you choose not to acquire a boon, it counts as failing to acquire it. So, yeah, that seems to be the case. That'd make the Glassworks safer, but anything that says, "When you fail to acquire a boon..." will still zap you.
  3. The ape's got class levels... Watch your back, is all I'm sayin'.
  4. Just remember that, by the rules, if you turn down the opportunity to acquire a boon, it still counts as "failure to acquire", so any place that penalizes you for that will do so in this case.
  5. Was this in Story or Quest mode? I don't think I've seen the Wildcard "Arrow Traps" before. What's that do? If you're in Quest mode, what's the Scenario power? I've never seen anything like that. If you still have access, could you tap the actual "Modify Difficutly +5" bard with the magnifying glass and see if it explains why your difficulty's plus 5?
  6. Exactly true. However, it'll sure add some punch to Merisiel's Back Stabs...
  7. There IS a mechanic in the physical card game where you remove a card from the game completely, but it's always (that I recall) a power on the specific card to be removed, so you're not pulling out cards left and right. I had one that you removed from the game to add a permanent skill feat. Those cards PROBABLY won't exist in the video game, 'cause as we've learned about getting more copies of a single card than should exist in a given box, we can figure that all of our characters could have a copy of this unique "remove from game" card before it actually got removed from the game.
  8. Yeah, there's gotta be a break point where it goes from "cool!" to "Oh, another Quarterstaff +1" to "I have HOW many more?!??!" I'm lookin' forward to that first bit. B-)
  9. That's already been reported (more than once) on the bugs forum. B-)
  10. So, technically, by the card game rules, those barriers can't actually be "defeated", just banished.
  11. You might want to start a new topic for each of these bugs. This topic is for giving you the tools you need to report bugs, not for the actual bug-reports themselves.
  12. Every time you use Quest mode, you have to build your party anew. Are you hitting the "Experienced" button in the upper left so you get your experienced characters rather than fresh, unexperienced copies of those same characters?
  13. If you still have a Scenerio running, then you can't change the party or re-use the characters currently playing in another party. You need to complete that Scenario (or forfeit) to change people around. If you're NOT mid-Scenario, then I got nothin'. Sounds like a bug. Try going to the opening screen, hitting "Story", then the Greed Triangle under the group you're trying to split up. If you end up in the Scenario Selection Screen, then I don't know why you're having a problem. If you end up anywhere else, it's (probably) not a bug, and you need to get them resolved enough to end up back at that Scenario Selection Screen before you can do anything else with those characters.
  14. This doesn't help you, but I believe there's no text on the Skeletal Horde that requires you to defeat all (or even ANY) of the Skeletons. Therefore, there's no reason for Merisiel NOT to evade the summoned Skeleton.
  15. Maybe, but the characters that come with Skull & Shackles all (or ALMOST all) have powers and skills that specifically apply to that setting. Powers that involve the Swashbuckling trait are fairly significant in that game. The Survival and Craft skills suddenly become "Gunnery" and "Shipwright" skills. There are lots of powers that apply specifically to cards with the Aquatic trait. So sure, play your RotR Lini. She's awesome! But S&S Lini gets a 1d12 for her shapechanging, and if her check's against a card with the Aquatic trait, she can recharge the card to fuel the shapeshift instead of discarding...
  16. Sounds like a bug to me. Text from card: "Recharge this card to add 1d10 to your Disable or Stealth check or your check to defeat a barrier." Seems pretty clear-cut.
  17. These are both known issues acknowledged by the devs. They're workin' on 'em.
  18. This is a known bug. Ezren didn't get the skill feat (as planned), but the scenario was marked completed (bug) so he can't go back and gain the reward. The Devs are working on this.
  19. Not exactly. It just never occurred to me to look for this information. That is EXACTLY the sort of information you should have before making a purchase. I just already had it, so I didn't go looking.
  20. Wow. I didn't know you could GET that level of detail in the Store. As a work-way-around, you can create an account on paizo.com, then go here and add this product to your cart. Then check out with a cost of $0.00 (shouldn't ask for credit card info) and it will be under "My Downloads" up at the top. This download is a zip with several files in it. Open PDF called "PACG-Sheets-RotR.pdf", and you'll see all the characters in the game (except Ameiko and Orik) in their full glory.
  21. Negative. If you read the Bundle description in the store, it says, "The two Adventures available ... and the rest as they are released".
  22. Since you don't have to banish it to use it (and it doesn't define a Ranged Combat Check), I don't think Cogsnap will have much more use for it than everyone else (except that he might be able to pull it ouf of the Vault using his third power). Unless one of his Roles says differently...
