  1. It works! Endlessly obliged, Oralaina I'm on GOG. Let's see if anyone from the Steam world is experiencing the same. Enchantment names stopped appearing in 2.0 by choice of the developers; "20% of damage restored as endurance" is the correct writing for the Draining enchantment. Does it retain that upon saving/loading? Tidefall didn't for me when I tried (but it does now that I added Oralaina's file to my objectbundle folder.)
  2. I've consolled in Tidefall and when I save/reload, it loses the Draining enchantment.
  3. Yeah, got the same error message. Really need that file if we want the draining weapon enchantment to work
  4. For those wondering, Novice Suffering still doesn't apply to Druid's Spiritshift.
  5. Would someone be so kind as to send me their "draining.unity3d" file from a 2.02 Windows install? It looks like I don't have that file, which means I'm still experiencing the bug whereby loading a game removes that ability from my weapons. I don't really feel like reinstalling the whole thing just for that.
  6. What do you mean exactly? In The White March there are four new armors: The White Crest, The Golden Scales, Wayfarer's Hide, and Raiment of Wael's Eyes (the latter being a robe.) The base game has a lot more heavy armors to offer.
  7. ^ Why decrease the number of spells per level that can be cast? If you're going to keep the per-encounter novafest (which I'm enjoying as much as the next guy, don't get me wrong; but it is objectively cheesy), keep it as is.
  8. Bounties also make you level very quickly (and are probably easier than Cragholdt Bluffs.) EDIT: Cragholdt is the hardest portion of the game. I'd definitely avoid going there at level 9.
  9. It's safe to assume there will always be two patches from now on. You only need the WM patch if you have the expansion.
  10. Get this.
  11. Only soulbound weapons can be bound; you do it through a button in their description. There are five of them and they are all in The White March areas. Regular magical weapons cannot be bound.
  12. ^ I usually say he went too far and would've likely caused a scandal. In all my games I'm usually in favor of animancy but they've got to have standards
  13. Indeed. I don't rest before trash mobs to replenish spells, but if spells are given to me freely you bet your arse I'm going to spam them every encounter and why should I not, if they are there for the casting?
  14. Slightly stronger in a boss fight versus oozing cheese in every encounter sounds like a good change to me?
  15. Gkathellar - "all other uses" in Josh's quote refers to per rest castings. The beginning of the quote clearly states that whole spell levels becoming per encounter is being changed. EDIT - I've been ninja'd.
  16. Sounds like a good change. Casters will still be able to cast spells per-encounter and will gain flexibility as the mastered spell won't need to be memorized, but they won't be oozing cheese all over. Well then. Let's enjoy the cheese fest while it lasts
  17. IIRC this was a bug way back and it was fixed in 1.04 or 1.05... Looks like something broke it again. That dialog is only meant to fire if you already know Thaos's name.
  18. Try installing 2.02 first. It was just released. If it doesn't fix it, then yes--I suggest reinstalling.
  19. What game version are you running? It sounds like a corrupted install to me (pink is generally a symptom of missing textures.)
  20. ^ Mirrored Image never procs from Raiment of Wael's Eyes; I tested it yesterday for a bug report in the beta patch tech forums.
  21. ^ that was quick! I'll slap it on as soon as 2.02 is on GoG.
  22. Great job! The first 2-3 times I tried that fight I was cut down to size; I actually had to look it up and learn the appropriate strategy. Now I can cut through it like butter, but there's no way I could've made it without seeking meta-knowledge.
  23. I don't exactly have a list of modifiers, but modifiers in PoE work differently from D&D. In general, bonuses to the same attribute/stat do not stack and only the highest one applies. There are special cases where bonuses to the same thing stack, but they are few and far between (a notable example is the Accuracy bonus from the spell "Devotions for the Faithful", which stacks with "Scroll of Valor" for a whopping +35 Accuracy—confirmed by QA as intended behavior, as the bonus from the scroll is generic and the one from the spell is specifically labelled "melee accuracy" and "ranged accuracy.") There's a list of special talents you can acquire in-game on the official PoE Wiki (although it doesn't currently include the two new talents you can get in the expansion.) Other than that, there aren't really many kinds of bonuses that affect the same thing as in D&D where you had inherent bonus, enchantment bonus, dodge bonus, natural armor bonus, etc..
  24. Toying with the idea of building Zahua like this when I pick him up. I've never played a Monk and this build is pretty enticing Guess I'll alternate between his fists and The Grey Sleeper.
