  1. ^ interesting! Didn't think you could get the armor surrendering the evidence.
  2. I usually kill her too, but she does have a point about the legacy. She's one of the very few who don't buy into superstition.
  3. DR is perfectly fine. Why do you say it displays incorrectly?
  4. You need both the patch for the base game AND the patch for TWM for both updates.
  5. GOG is the way to go just need to figure out the patches to install.
  6. I installed both patches from GOG and everything's fine. Only issue was the missing file I got from Oralaina.
  7. This is the path in my install: C:\Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\assetbundles\prefabs\objectbundle
  8. QA don't fix issues; they just report them. Programmers fix issues, and fixes can't always be made retroactive for a variety of reasons. PoE's team is already rather small and a good slice of them are working on TWM pt. II, which doesn't leave many people working on the updates. I believe they are doing a great job given the time and resources at their disposal.
  9. In answer to the OP's question about difficulty: Yes, on Easy it doesn't really matter what your party composition is; nor does it matter on Normal or Hard. Path of the Damned is less forgiving of tactical/strategical mistakes and may prove more challenging with a sub-optimal party composition, but there are people who can solo on that mode so there's no reason any party composition could or should be unable to beat the game on PotD. My favorite characters are Edér, Aloth, and Hiravias. Edér is the most popular here on the boards because he's got the bro attitude. Hiravias is, as Luma mentioned, a coarse and perverted character but that kind of humor always gets me so I like him a bunch. His quest is also good. Durance and Grieving Mother, a.k.a. MCA's characters, are commonly regarded as the best-written characters in the game. Their story is good but it takes a long time to unfold. Other than that, Durance is annoying and hates everything; GM is self-righteous and tries hard to pass for the infallible moral compass that she isn't. Kana will be as quiet as a calm sea. Which is not very quiet. /ducks to avoid Luma's incoming smack
  10. Are you on GOG.com? You need to install the patch for the base game AND the patch for the expansion for it to work. If you only install one of the two, the areas that weren't patched will show up pink (it means the texture is missing.)
  11. Or use the console to give yourself a new copy of the grimoire.
  12. Then grab Oralaina's file and slap it in your objectbundle folder. It will make it work. I didn't fix Tidefall retroactively for me, but for some reason it did fix Gaun's Share retroactively. Weird times.
  13. It works! Endlessly obliged, Oralaina I'm on GOG. Let's see if anyone from the Steam world is experiencing the same. Enchantment names stopped appearing in 2.0 by choice of the developers; "20% of damage restored as endurance" is the correct writing for the Draining enchantment. Does it retain that upon saving/loading? Tidefall didn't for me when I tried (but it does now that I added Oralaina's file to my objectbundle folder.)
  14. I've consolled in Tidefall and when I save/reload, it loses the Draining enchantment.
  15. Yeah, got the same error message. Really need that file if we want the draining weapon enchantment to work
  16. For those wondering, Novice Suffering still doesn't apply to Druid's Spiritshift.
  17. Would someone be so kind as to send me their "draining.unity3d" file from a 2.02 Windows install? It looks like I don't have that file, which means I'm still experiencing the bug whereby loading a game removes that ability from my weapons. I don't really feel like reinstalling the whole thing just for that.
  18. What do you mean exactly? In The White March there are four new armors: The White Crest, The Golden Scales, Wayfarer's Hide, and Raiment of Wael's Eyes (the latter being a robe.) The base game has a lot more heavy armors to offer.
  19. ^ Why decrease the number of spells per level that can be cast? If you're going to keep the per-encounter novafest (which I'm enjoying as much as the next guy, don't get me wrong; but it is objectively cheesy), keep it as is.
  20. Bounties also make you level very quickly (and are probably easier than Cragholdt Bluffs.) EDIT: Cragholdt is the hardest portion of the game. I'd definitely avoid going there at level 9.
  21. It's safe to assume there will always be two patches from now on. You only need the WM patch if you have the expansion.
  22. Get this.
  23. Only soulbound weapons can be bound; you do it through a button in their description. There are five of them and they are all in The White March areas. Regular magical weapons cannot be bound.
