I havent read all the 12 pages but I love low magic adventures or settings where magic and witchcraft etc. is something exotic and suspicious. So witches and sorcerers are always already" guilty" if something strange happens you know (captured first and asked later about it so to say). But i also love the D&D world which is very magical everywhere but there i prefer the lower levels because the big magical events dont come into play to much just yet... So magical things in crates and barrels are a no go for me. Same with daggers +1 which you collect only to sell them again at the magical smithy shop.

Getting OT quite a bit but a guy named Toegoff on youtube did cool let´s plays. He talks a bit to much like everyone but he´s calm and no power player, just an ordinary guy who likes RPGs...has done some Oldschool games too. So whenever i watch some let´s play i make sure someone likes quest for glory and the SSI games too... then I know he´s kinda on my taste of games that are little legends for me already And holly molly about streamers... when they dont self advertize they ... no sorry. Not my kind of people! I stick to adults who have no need for a big "I am" and feed of their illusionary fan croud...

I could only watch 2 reviews from the angry joe dude and after that i had enough. He seems to me making a war out of reviewing a game and yells to much for me. Like i said... he sounds as if his live depends on a game rather then cool down a bit, show this and that and give a pro / con statement with the facts. Nothing against diveristy in everything and he is somewhat a special guy but definately not my cup of tea.

I need my daily video footage otherwise i go mad and boycott the whole world... F**** you world for not givin me my daily video explosions and fancy awesome moving pixels. I dont even need food anymore because i can feed my body trough the youtube connector.... but it must move and have many comments i can dislike because i am the ruler of the video footage analyzer guild!

I dont understand once again what rape or sexual assault has do with "sexual content" in a game... are some of you obsessed with violence you never witnessed yourself but would certainly do as long as your not the victim? When we add these things why dont how to carve out unborn babys from pregnant woman... or how to torture the saw way like in medieval times... this was reality yes. So if i think it is ok and UP TO DATE to be free from all common sense let me dictate the future as a sicko what games should "advertize" my messed up mind tales in a subtle fashion. Reality is just that reality and there are many things that some might consider as horrible then one can imagine that happens day after day here but that doesnt mean that the "torture porn" trend is something good... no it is not! If you think it is cool then go out, look for the right person and insult him.... then you see how cool it is to sit behind a monitor and talk about these things. Fantasy games are not the witch hammer or mein kampf! And to make things clear... if you want these real storys go look around in the I-net and you find alot of these horrible things. That doesnt mean i have to be bombarded with tthat in a game i want to relax too. Search for silence of conspiracy etc. and have a nice day... And for you who think that rape is sex and not torture... hear some interviews from children who have witnessed that or grown up man coming out with these storys... you will see how much sex that was. Grow up! The church argued the same way btw about torture during the inquisition. It was HOLY and for the good thing. There you see how messed up you can be without common sense!

to mature you need to understand how live is and what is fantasy and what should stay out of sight and where is porn just sick and where it is "mature". Once you have developed some integrity in your live trough experience you have a balanced view on what is sick and perverse and what not. If your dreamstate that is based on reality TV and fictional storys of people you dont know for REAL you have no clue what live is. Experience is what matters and not what the media tells a person! But that is to high for you i know... so be ok with your raping and have fun in your dreamstate kid. You need some rude awakening i tell you!

No one said you are the one who does this or have a choice to do it. It is more about someone like Jack the ripper or some other organisation or cult who also does this sort of stuff. Just because you do not like it does not mean it can't be a topic in games. Games ae not all about having fun and people need to understand this. Just like Movies are not about having fun all the time. you dont understand ... what i said was that if developers start to dig into raping others in their games but on the other hand tell us something about politicaly correct BS it all goes down like this. There are sick perverts working on something and they tell you its uncool to "exclude" these type of persons because they are a minority (homo romances etc.) and all that nonsense. So in the end where do we stop promoting these kind of things that are very real. There is a difference in a RPG where you slaughter on mass and RAPE others. If you dont get that you have to visit your doctor! Adn rape was never a topic in gaming since a few mentaly retarded "guys" thought it is "ok" to get the message out....

i never talked about rape... i despise people hell like who rape others or spectators (gamers or others) who feel a tingeling when they hear that positively and i dont think it´s a theme a game should promote. No never! Sorry, but rape is for mentaly dead people and it has nothing to do with taste or freedom of creativity. I´m out! When these things are touched i honestly ask myself where is the line that one should not cross... when you can promote rape in a game i can also promote genozid and whatnot all. I think the line where pure perversity has creeped into "creativity" and self expression is already being broken but still there should be some rules of human essence!

one of the only "features" so to say that sex has in a brothel or elsewhere... is to get some nasty deseases and or be relaxed and get some more regeneration points. Thats the only thing i can imagine where you can make use of sex in terms of gameplay. Otherwise it´s just yes ok... nice ride now be gone... I used deseases in a nwn mod this way and it was a 85 % chance that you might notice it some days later somewhere already right into adventuring! Because i think that you should not only use the positive aspect of it and if you use it then add some "danger" to it.. can be fun

I dont care about pixel boo*s and i think most of the time "sexual roleplaying" is seriously silly and maked me facepalm more then it gives me the impression on playing a RPG. Honestly i think most romances are for teenys who had no sex or an ordinary relationship and being a man with some broken relationships behind me i just cant stand this pre-scripted way of "yes in the end you can theoretically f*** me" . The only sexual content i think is cool or funny are the silly c64 sex games because they are so honest about sex it cant get any better. And with the japan games i have seen recently.... something is wrong over there if that is for children or teens. So no... i dont need some pixels that look like boo*s or highly offensive language that is just dirty talk in reality.

... i dont understand... to the dude with his obsession about videos... how many faked videos have i seen that promised so many things and delivered nothing of it later on. If you trust only videos then I dont understand why you want to play a oldschool RPG. These games are more then fancy moving things etc. And If your "friends" only care about baboom and splatosh kawutze then good for you and bad for gamers who needs a little bit more then that. 75 % of the trailers i have seen were just marceting tools for the mass that eat FX like their daily food. Not thinking about where it comes from, just give me that illusion of coolness but dont tell me how Shi+++ it realy is... because i cant stand anything deeper then how to press button and be in awe how awesome it looks... And marceting is very easy today. The better the lie the better the result in the end because people now a days forget very quick how they were robbed of their money. They trust the same companys again and again with their nonstop nonsense that they use like magick to trick you over and over with their BS. Thats marceting, just lie and show fancy things because gamers will buy it anyway... most of the money comes from their parents anyway so why should they care... And uh... the BSN... the "fanboys" they are like a sect! AND I DONT CARE about ingame footage from POE. I want that they work on the game so hard that it makes me hard later once it is READY!

The only concern is once again that the established ONE PARTY for lobby interests dont realize that the people of europe are sick and tired of their fraud called politics. A movie called "night of the demons" from 89 i guess. A real trash horror flick but fun anyway with some creepy demon stuff and sexy chicks... hehe! Well what else... tried return of the living dead 5 rave to the grave and yes that is a real graveyard of a "movie" and so i skipped it after some time in it. Couldnt watch that damn thing and just viewed some funny scenes from rotld 2 hmm... anyone can point out some good and scary recent movie without the "camera shacking the whole movie" thing?

no please not. There are dozens of MMO´s who are all there for you sucking away your life time while the sun outside your room shines... hehe. I think mmo´s are the worst games ever being produced. They are so useless for me sucking one into an addiction of leveling and leveling even more up to conquer some new area and tell other people what kind of cool guy you are having wasted your entire time with this game... Nah man, dont touch the mmo genre please obsidian. Let others do this!

i know i go OT again but anyone here who knows the gaming days from c64 amiga and onward knows that there is a big difference to what gamers are today. We shared games in schools and never whined about anything other then how hard a game is or why this idiot doesnt shared his copy of a game. There was no internet and forums of studios where you could cry, insult or just be plain stupid so you know. I think its great that devs are open to people who buy and care about their games but this is sometimes also just so silly and childish that i wonder whats wrong with some guys pretending that they know it all way better then the veterans who work 5 or 6 days a week for 10 hours maybe a day on games and that for years after years. Many Gamers have emancipated into something that is ridiculous beyond believe with their "theoretical" knowledge of something they dont understand or appreciate. Because if you know how open some developers are today you would think twice before making statements that make yourself look stupid plain and simple! Just because we are in these days with anonymous i-net doesnt mean everyone can talk sh** about things and it doesnt matter. Sometimes i realy wish back the times were gamers loved the game and thats it. IT was just relaxed in the early days and people had fun! They knew that they just play and dont know anything else then how to play a game! And there is nothing like a "zeitgeist" that just makes plop and everyone can justify his childish aggresion just because of that...

we just need more drama baby. He who likes the drama is he who likes to be the next drama queen. When there is no problem we can easily create one out of nothing and we can just close our ears and shut down our mind and be immune to the wise words written down here already why they made this decission. So we have a winner and obsidian should model a unique drama queen outfit nerf nerf that has a special ability of casting confusion while the party is at rest, chilling somewhere trying to regenerate some health...

Well, i think you made yourself very clear by representing yourself being "pi**sed" about that more then 6 or 7 times by now... so obsidian is aware that you WANT it your own way only. I mean we are at update 80 right, isnt that a lot already. And you dont want to accept that obsidian definately has a REASON for why they do this. And now you even dismiss the game... well have faith in the dark force then little consumer, it will make you much more upset later once you play it and it is nice...

Yeah because we are stupid and telling us that this is work in prgress did totally mislead all the Divinity and Wasteland 2 backers.... Oh wait it did not. I love Obsidian and their games but next time I will just buy the game when it is done and support actaully developer that value me more and do not shove me aside. I really need to look at if I can back out of Torment and get my money back and instead give it to other developers. You sound abit personaly hurt and i realy wonder why. I mean you and me and all we here are just people who wanted this game and not the control of the way how obsidian does their work right? And i dont understand why you tell everyone you dont want to back this then and want your money back... people who tells everything what they are gonna do about it as some kind of revenge are pretty childish imo. I backed the game because i saw myself as a very little piece of brickstone that makes it possible that this game can be developed. That the game industry is how it is is also the fault of the gamers. If the people demand the games we hate or dislike then who´s to blame? The publishers want money and they create it out of the pockets of the new gaming generation that has a different view on what makes a good game as we classic RPG veterans. I´m looking forward to the next update as i always did and presure i have nothing to throw at obsidian. They are doing what they promised!

a little bit of racism couldnt hurt. I mean it´s not that blacks are against whites or reds vs. yellows... So we humans can relax and enjoy some funny jokes about other "races" so to say without having this "you HAVE to be pollitically correct" or else everyone hates you now complex... making jokes of one another or having some prejudices behind closed doors we all (except some 0,001 % earth people) have when we are honest so why not adding some truth to the game. In the end we are all just humans with a history like them and it just doesnt work the way thinking YES we are all humans and there are no differences... well! ... thats not true imo. I hope i dont sound like i support racial hatred. No i definately dont support hatred or violence based on colors or national pride in reality!

I have no problem with the way obsidian handles this "issue" as some think that there is one... i dont see myself now less valuable then the press now just by the way they are doing what they do. They might have a reason .. well there is always a reason for anything and we ALL know that we made it possible that PE is going to be developed. And like rjshae said we paid for the game and we get the game they told us and thats what i see realy matters in the end. That the game itself will be what we thought could rock the RPG genre again and here we are, witnessing how great the game comes together. And i was never so satisfied with updates how a game comes together as here with obsidian. I totaly changed my oppinion regarding them as a Team too just by being "part" of this game so to say Not that i dont understand some feelings regarding this press/ showcase stuff but right now i´m personaly very happy with everything. And well, thats very rare these days to be honest. I dont give a damn about most of the games and way less about what devs or publishers talk how cool their so called rpg´s will be. Skyrim sucked, Dragon ages suxs even more and there are many others which are just dull, boring and silly etc. imo! The last RPG game i "understood" or where i was realy sucked into was the witcher 1. Before that nwn and gothic 2. Either i have lost the case for most of the RPG´s these days or they suck plain and simple! :D And to compare one studio with another one how they manage their PR work is somewhat ...well. Every person or studio has their own principles or guidelines they follow and i´m happy with that. I dont want everything acts like every other.

hmm, when i started modding games the first motivation was "why didnt they included that" or more I WANT that content, map or whatever in this game because i like this game and the engine seems to be good for me to work with. So my first motivation always is something is "missing" for me or that i would be great to have it and then I start thinking about of all the components i have to do to complete the whole thing. Pretty easy when it is just some model, map or whatever because you already have established the goal in your mind and the details follow while working on it. It´s an organic process for me where the thing completes itself during the work automaticaly. What i mean by that is i did some D&D underdark caves for NWN and while working on it i ran trough the tunnel system, took screenshots- looked at original underdark art and thought about what i could add or what details would give it another bit or more ambience etc.! And i never wrote a detailed manuscript down, i just had the image or the story in mind wrote down key aspects and let the work just grow step by step coming closer to the finale. I also feel that the great days of big mod Teams are over. Maybe it´s just me who sees this but when i compare the golden days of mod teams (half life or nwn etc.) to now a days i see more and more people with less patience and dedication. Single dedicated people are found everywhere but Teams... i dont know. Maybe it´s just that people are more honest about what they realy want to do and so they just focus on their very OWN project that they would love to see in a game rather then a big project where they dont controll every aspect of it. Once you give away your time for a project that may take more then a year of development you realy have to have 101 % faith in that. I dont know... but for me a project that is my own baby is definately be finished when i want it and so i started to focus only on my own work. Not being dependant on others, not that it is not cool but it´s just that to many mods have gone into oblivion and time was wasted on a massive scale for everyone involved. And who realy wants that in the end? So for PE for me it depends purely on the game later once i have played it and i know what _I can do and what definetely not. So i dont waste any thought right now for something that is pure speculation... for that i have a game that i mod right now NWN! And i think it is important to know the game and the engine with first hand experience to know that you realy want to mod that. Without real experience everything is like "theory" and who knows...
