Yeah sure do we have a lot of problems here in germany and it´s good if someone from the outside points that one out. The conflict in ukraine is much more then the media tells us and i bet russia is not interested at all in that orchestrated conflict. They have no reason and it makes no sense but on the other side of the planet there is alot of reason to find. But lets be honest. People are dying again because of greed and nothing more. Greedy oligarchs (bushes, clintons, rockefellers included) are all in the game. Oligarchs is just a name again to point fingers at the "evil" ivan...( in the western world they are called mafia bosses) I think russia is a great land, have great people and a great history (great dont always mean just good) and we europeans should be very cautious not to f*** up our relationiship with them just because the americans say so.... As a german it´s a shame what our politicans do and appreciate that many russiand know we are not all that stupid. We or I have seen trough the propaganda and to me it´s clear who is wanting what and who is honest. I think President Putin is one the last few "politicians" with honest intentions and has power ! He is a king of some sort. Maybe the last one in history !

Your guys look like soldiers and not like police men at all anymore. From an outsider point of view i would be very worried about the excessive militarisation of your militia. What has happenend ? From the good ole cop of the 80´s and 90´s to complete armored military men. I have seen or read alot of these shot first ask ... oh he´s dead already ! Seriously you have a problem in the US. I remember myself always wanting to visit the US. I was always a fan of the united states but honestly since that damned day your people in power went crazy and now they see you ordinary people as terrorists. or at least as a "could be a terrorist" so we use force by any means.

Oh ok then. Well... if it cant die then it´s a gimmick or what ? A chicken pet that can go berzerk causing the ultimate destruction would be funny yes but an ordinary pet that is invulnerable seems very out of place imo. Yeah you cant just resize player models and every creature of your game because... you change the whole dimension of everything....

Yeah good idea i would name my spider then "go feed" or "webcatch" or something like that... ? I dont need an option to give my "pet" a name. It´s there to help me in combat or to do some scouting.

hmm... i dont backed a game that right at the beginning of the beta changes any direction at all or audience to target. How do you target a "new" audience with a game that is in beta phase without lies and deception ? Someone has to explain me how that works on a honest level. I think that would be a total failure of reputation. Old school RPG players backed that game the most i guess and thats the crowd to please. IF teeny romancers and other genre gamers come here... there problem not ours! So the idea is not good at all and I´m sure obsidian is not stupid enough to change what was good to just mainstream or whatever. I also think this game was not about profit but what Obsidian wanted to do and WE BACKERS supported. Not anything else...

It´s good that they end the franchise with this massive creation of a game! The witcher 1 had it right (still the most authentic game in history for me), version 2 was enourmous and EPIC and this one here cant be topped by anything else. The design is so inspiring and beautifull, the lore is raw and honest and gameplay if not totaly screwed up will be an amazing experience!

I never liked the idea of DRM or online authentication. I dont like that stuff on my PC where apps do things i dont know exactly what is it communicating etc. To be honest i hate DRM stuff and i appreciate GOG´s attitude in that regard.

Not sure how they will create moving grass with a 2D background except the grass is a 3d model layered over the image or you use an animated background but that could be an engine killer with such a high res image. About the encounter with the spiders i agree. I love spiders and one of the cave corridors could be used as some sort of a nest for them where they retreat, feed blah. Give them a little nasty place of spider comfort. But they look great, the wet look of the big ones legs are very cool. And the attack animation could be more menacing. Right now it looks as if she is trying to test out the enemy and bite with their claws but the distance is to far away. So either she jumps forward a little bit over the player and then use her bite or attacks brutaly with her 2 front legs like they did in the infinity games. The animations there were very great and i loved them too. And a web attack I hope will be in.... that it always a scare factor being webbed and attacked! And i forgot to mention that when the spider dies... she realy jumps a bit to high.

To give some positive feedback the fireball (or field of fire spell) and the magic missle like spell (with the 3 bolts of magic) looked great to me. Spellcasting node was very off but that was mentioned already. So the spell effects i saw are very good already. And i think that every spellcaster animation where a caster has a weapon in hand looks somewhat strange. In every game i have played a weapon and a spellcaster doesnt realy go well together. It´s different if you use a quarterstaff or wand to handle the anims just because you can attach the spell node directly onto it. Dont know...

Did i read on page 12 someone suggested it´s good to have a PC or NPC with a broken heart, or interesting ? Seriously...maybe some dont know but you are an adventurer in PoE who is out there on his best and worst experience of his whole live. Danger and creepy creatures and so on... That some of you are passionate about romances ok that seems to be the case... but broken hearts and drama ? Even murder because of envy? IS the evil stepmum in your way because she doesnt wants her only son (who is very rich of course) to marry you because she´s the disney icon of an evil stepmom? Did the Avatar forgot about you and just ran away with a harbor harlot ? Did Jack the Ripper had a secret relationship to Rose from the titanic (is rose the Ripper) ? Is having a picnic at midnight on a graveyard considered to be romantic when rotten bodies (not babys) are being dished up ? This are all important questions and need an answering. You should consider them Obsidian my romantic brothers of the lady rose! And if the end will come and the earth will burn and explode we will always remember the tale of the twinsissys... uh my... twin...ups ! My brain just fell out my head....

All my favourite games back then were puzzle games so to say. All the sierra and lucas arts classics are based on solving puzzles but yeah i know that wouldnt realy work in a game like PoE. But using some sort of a dialogue riddle someone mentioned is a great idea. You have to get information about a specific person or creature before you should try to talk to him otherwise he just attack you because you dont know which question you have to ask or answer to give. so you have an option of just combat or getting that information from somewhere else etc. This is what i would call a classic roleplaying option.

About the Inn... when the Inn is a little Inn of a village that has no connection to a major road or is used as some sort of resting place for lots of caravan people then it should not be too overcrowded. Wouldnt make much sense to throw all village people in it because who would work then out on the fields... do the homestuff etc... just what medieval people had to do at day. What I like are taverns that have more people in by the evening and no real activity during the day... realy depending on what kind of Inn/ tavern it is.

Maximum profit idiots like this one and he is no exception is killing "some" games for me. But due to kickstarter projects and developers who are just dedicated to creating games I think it´s very safe to say there will be plenty of games to come I can enjoy. These wallstreet creeps are everywhere and if you make one out dont support their products but real people. I mean when a company does 3 or 4 games that are exactly the same one should know that there could be something wrong with some very few exceptions. I dont know about the GTA franchise but didnt it become actually better with every title? ...Well just dont buy their damn products is the only thing we can do.

+ religions are an excuse for "creatures" to do very sick and atrocious things! Gy god i rape this little girl because he told me too. Well, if this conflict wouldnt cause a lot of suffering and dead people i would just say... f*** you all and keep these things for yourself because it´s getting childish after 50 years or so of the same stuff on and on. But to know that this conflict sucks us all in in a way or another because of our governments it´s a very difficult thing to talk about. The israelis on one hand know much more about the arab mentality of showing weakness then we europeans or americans do and I´m sure they want peace but not in a condition where they never know if not some mentaly disturbed guy bombs away ordinary people. Also the history of the jews is something we cant forget after WW2 and the "german" thing maybe they are a little bit ... how to say. They just dont like the idea of becoming a victim again in whatever situation or place they are. And that is somewhat very understandable too. 2000 years of a jesus curse is not easily forgotten if you know it´s all just fiction and for that they were seen as something bad by nature. But i dont make a stand realy except that israel surely is the only "normal" society that does something with their land and are dedicated while look at the lands that surrounds them... pure chaos and archaic people in power etc. So if i would think about living in the middle east israel would be the place for me. It´s a modern society that is not perfect (none is) but it´s way more my personal thing.

IT´s a bit more then just to be different or stay away from stuff a specific kind of people like. I´m a very active member of the bioboards and just flying over the posts about the dragon age games is telling what they are about and what not. So the expressions of people like i quoted are a summary of the mindsets of them! And i know what DA:O was about... then DA2 and ..fool me once shame on you but fool me twice shame on me So when devs start to target an audience rather then just doing a game of their own the gamers mentality matter a lot. Thats at least my impression of my 25 + years in gaming. If you have read the latest interview of Brian Fargo about Wasteland 2 you know the difference between a game developer and a product designer like a Mike Awesome button lowlevel...

I´m a guy and definately not a female sexist... Man use their physical power against woman every day even they know that the female cant fight back. This attitude is disgusting. But it is accepted by many of us in secret when you are not questioned about it in the public. And yes we have a very violent ego because of our historical and cultural heritage (islam + christinaity) where eve the bad witch, the uber example of the ordinary woman is nothing more then a wet succubus. Why are not man covered in ugly full bodyrobes ?

ok my english was just broken in that post you quoted and i make it easier why i dont play the game. EAware makes games i dont like, they target a very different audience. And the quote was a comment by someone else... so i thought if these kind of people like the game I seriously cant be one of them!
