But that analogy doesn't work because Steam, ports, framerate, and arguably GPU are part of game playing as well as game making. It would be like a TV and Film writer not knowing about Netflix, adaptations from film to TV presentation(they often have to edit for time and content), picture quality, and viewing devices. I suppose one can still write about such things without said knowledge, but I don't see how anyone with a modicum of knowledge would take their opinions seriously.

I think having the state(the US in this case, not individual states) being the arbitrator if what constitutes a "legitimate" relationship between individuals was a mistake in the first place. People should be free to marry who they wish without interference from the state.

I look at that and just get pissed off we didn't get KOTOR 3... Avellone as lead of KOTOR3 after leaving Obsidan? They're resurrecting Battlefront so I don't see why they wouldn't bring back another wildly popular franchise. Because KOTOR is Legend material and no new material for that old continuity is going to be produced. Expansions for TOR seem to be the only exception. Battlefront doesn't have the same issue. But if TOR draws upon the same material as KOTOR, wouldn't that not be an issue? I could see them re-branding it, perhaps Old Republic Knights or something, but a multiplatform Star Wars RPG in the vein of Dragon Age seems like it could be a big money maker for EA.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect good writing from video games in general. Moreover, I'd venture, it's the consumers' responsibility to demand quality work for their bucks. If we pay for ****ty content, that's all we'll get, because ****ty content is always easier and cheaper to produce than quality work.
