I don't really use reddit but I'm surprised that people hadn't abandoned that hellhole for something better long ago.

If you have to ask, the answer is probably "they can". -
Journalism and Bias in the Gaming Industry

From what I recall, she came into it when the FF twitter account tweeted about it. Since then McIntosh has been poking gg for attention periodically. The best course of action, imo, is to ignore FF(tweets and videos) because it isn't particularly noteworthy or relevant or of good quality. If the E3 announcements and success of The Witcher 3 are any indication, the opinions expressed haven't really managed to take hold with anyone outside an increasing irrelevant cabal of bloggers. -

I don't know if I would go as far as calling culture critics and bloggers journalists, that word still means something to me. I feel the same, which is why I've been calling Kotaku, Polygon, RPS, and others bloggers. Online columnists aren't journalists at all and it's more than a little insulting to actual journalists, dying breed that they are, to compare them to bloggers who post navel-gazing drivel. -

Different US regions aren't analogous to different European states. Perhaps if the Articles of Confederation were in use rather than the Constitution that would be a fair comparison, but that isn't the case here. A weaker currency is better if your primary industries, tourism and agriculture in Greece's case, benefit from having a favorable exchange rate because it allows you to export goods at more competitive prices. Adopting the Euro was an utterly idiotic move on Greece's part, given that their primary industries heavily benefit from favorable exchange rates and are much less competitive without that benefit. Greece would be required, under the EU proposal, to both cut government spending and increase the tax burden on individuals. Assuming Greece functions like most other economies, this is going to reduce the economy. Which brings us to Krugman's point that Greece is being put in a position where it is impossible for them to pay back the loans, and a cynical interpretation would be that the Troika is extending the loan in exchange for Greece's public assests which it will most likely sell. -

http://www.politicususa.com/2015/06/27/bernie-sanders-history-raising-money-gop-presidential-candidate.html Sanders has managed to out raise all current Republican candidates. I agree. That abomination needs to be stopped and I can't support anyone who would go for something like that. Except for Trump of course, who I'd vote for to get Fallout IRL to happen.

Journalism and bias in the gaming industry
PK htiw klaw eriF replied to Blarghagh's topic in Way Off-Topic
But that analogy doesn't work because Steam, ports, framerate, and arguably GPU are part of game playing as well as game making. It would be like a TV and Film writer not knowing about Netflix, adaptations from film to TV presentation(they often have to edit for time and content), picture quality, and viewing devices. I suppose one can still write about such things without said knowledge, but I don't see how anyone with a modicum of knowledge would take their opinions seriously.- 533 replies

But you're not a journalist blogger whose job is to write about the subject. Is it too much to ask that those who write about such things "professionally" know what they are talking about?- 533 replies
